Sounds mean . Would've never guessed that it's a 2.8l v6 just hearing it . Planning on doing this to my 86 camaro soon

that's a bone stock 2.8 Chevy s10. the exhaust cracked in half after the ypipe. needs a tune up.

+David Dalton actually its cut after the y pipe and its not headers just y pipe. it has a tbi and injectors from a 350 and pressure is turned up so it is running very rich,

how did you crank up the fuel pressure?

clifton Garrison The stock fuel pressure regulator is "non-adjustable" but the screw on the bottom of the regulator is tack welded in place, you just have to grind the weld so you can turn the screw in a few turns to increase fuel pressure. The regulator is located right next to your injectors and the injector/regulator pod can be removed by the torx screws on the top.

My truck is IDENTICAL but it is blue where yours is gray. Its missing on 2 cylinders so it's a dog. Have to hold it to the floor in 2nd gear to make it up a hill. Has new spark plugs so that's not what's causing the miss. Any ideas or should I just drop an automatic 350 in it?

Check your distributor, probably needs a new cap and rotor - cheap fix. If it's not that you might check for bad wires or connectors (check for corrosion). If it's carburated or TBI then it shouldn't miss on 2 cylinders (fuel wise). It would depend on your fuel setup to know if it's fuel related.

Actually I don't have a cam, I cranked up the fuel pressure so it's running a bit rich and idling nice n low. I will be putting in a Cam from a 3.4l v6 from a camaro as it is fairly equal to a 2.8 performance cam and is a direct fit.

Ethan Brazee how'd that work out?

I actually ended up just swapping over from my 2.8 to a 3.4 v6 from a Camaro since I had the engine out for a cam swap and the power increase is amazing. 200hp with mods easy.
