@@tirsogamboa Well, I only have one year since launching my business but I think I am doing alright. I have not yet reached my goal to work with international clients, but I'm on my way. I have read Branding in 5 and a half steps by Michael Johnson, Design Basic Index by Jim Kraus and Creative strategy and the business of design by Douglas Davis. All very cool books that I loved. I just came across your channel. How long have you been a designer and an art director?
I've been working for about 15 years now in magazine publishing. I love design, so I thought I'd share what I know through RUclips. Let me know if there are any topics/concepts you'd like me to cover on the channel!
@@tirsogamboa Oh I would love some more knowledge on preparing files for print! I think many of us beginner-level designers are so terrified of providing a client with a ready to print file that is in fact not ready to print and the guys at the printshop are going to tell them we don't know what we're doing. Or maybe it's just me and my insecurities :)). Anyway, I think some guides on best practices for different printing processes like offset, digital, or flexo, for different materials/stock, etc. would be more than appreciated.
@@alinamarinescu4611 ah yes, print can be intimidating. I’m definitely going to lean into print on the channel through the lens of editorial design since that’s my background. Stay tuned. Will get content up as fast Im able to! 😬
6:10 this book seems helpful! would have liked to hear more about it!! :D

Fantastic list, thank you. I've only encountered one of those books on the list.
Thank you! Check out the others and hope you find them to be a nice resource
