Cool video. I started paragliding 4 years ago not thinking I had a fear of heights, until that first high flight, then I realized I did have a fear of heights but that is just a natural human fear. In time after learning to trust the gear and my own skills I learned that the ground is the only thing that can hurt me so staying as far away from it as possible is the best thing. I fly in the mountains, we usually spend a large portion of our flight 2,000’-3,000’ above the ground, or even higher if the thermals are good and now I love having as much altitude as I can get. Only thing that scares me is when I hear an airplane or helicopter but I can’t see it, that’s a little scary, I just hope that they are paying attention and that they see me.
Thanks for sharing your story! I love your perspective on height and can totally relate to the noises of aircrafts causing a little panic 😅 take care 🙏🏼
great job of cineography and a beautiful story of you two living together. dont worry me as an active paragliding pilot, i also get excited when the thermals give me some extra height on strong days. keep the good work coming. and always happy landigs 🙂
Im an old retired airline pilot. My son is an active and very good para pilot. I'd love to share this sport with him. Im reluctant, my nature. Don't want an injury.
Like an airplane, if done correctly with appropriate training in the right conditions, paragliding is quite safe. Of course, you're more at risk of an accident than if you stay at home, but also more at risk of having less fun memories. Many pilots in my club are over 60, I think you should at least try it (with a school) and see for yourself.
Great video. Thanks. My two cents. Ground handling is key. We stand on the shoulders of giants. Ask other pilots, fly with other pilots, learn always. You know what you know, you don't know what you don't know. Fly safe!!
You‘re completely right! We don’t want to create the impression that you should do it all alone. This is not a „how to start paragliding“ movie though. It is about his journey and fear, so we left out other people as much as we could ❤️
Great story my brother. I really enjoyed watching. I’m trying to learn too. But I love heights. 😊

Beautifully shot video. When I skydive I love when my canopy deploys and I just take in the views. I always wish I could stay up their longer.
Thanks man means a lot 🙏🏼 skydiving is one nice thing too but I’ll mess up my pants probably 😅✌🏻

Maybe you can still have some fun together with groundhandling. Otherwise I am sure you can share other beautiful things ✌🏻
