There's very little chance Persona 4 is gonna get a remake, Golden still holds up really well. It's on all modern consoles and PC, so I'd just move right on when you're done with 3.
If a remake is in the cards, it’s likely after P1-2.
Atlus know people would love a Persona 4 Remake so best to not immediately dismiss it

@@violetkagexpI mean even if 1 and 2 need it more a 4 remake would make a lot of money. But that being said, golden holds up well so I think you’d enjoy it.
@@Miunim of course, but it’ll be way after 1-2. In the polls, 4 had the least amount of desire for a remake compared to every other game in the series (besides the one that had just came out).

Romances and choices were already in FFVII (1997) and Baldure's Gate 1 (1998) and 2 (2000).
@@dencheq right but we're talking 'popularized' though I'd give you the FF7 example, the original Baldur's Gate games are a bit more of a niche pick
@@dencheq I never said they invented it. They just popularized it, bonding events that incorporate gameplay perks started showing up in tons of Japanese games after modern persona became popular. Danganronpa is one of those franchises
@@kl0764on that case, Star Ocean came out in 1996 and Thousand Arms came out in 1998. Merging social event into the gameplay.

I’m sure it will be longer than original p3, but I dunno how it could be 120 hours. OG game averaged about 60-70 then every new one was longer than the last
They added some new things and slight changes but yeah it probably will be the same average time

@@violetkagexp I'd assume it's probably a 100% playthrough length, if you're just playing casually it probably won't be nearly as long

If they ever remade P4 it'd probably be a maybe in like 10 years but golden still holds up really well. Also people really exaggerate persona playthrough times itll probably take you 80 hours if you really take your time

100%. In all the polls Atlus made in the past few years, people wanted P2 and P3 remakes the most, pretty much tied.
P4 remake is about as needed as Persona 5 Karting

And also, I think you're doing the perfect order with P3 P4 P5. Most people come into this franchise P5 P3 P4, but I'm pretty sure Reload is going to be less "advanced" in terms of gameplay than 5

Also the personas/shadows are practically the same, but they are more gameplay mechanics so it's no wonder they return
I would play persona 4 golden right after as there won’t be a persona 4 remake since it already had one. It was originally on the ps2 and then a better version with new content and graphics was released on the psvita which is now on pc.

I wouldn't wait for a P4 Remake. On the popularity scale for a remake on the poll, 3 and 2 were tied. So 2 is probs next.

Yeah persona has meh sound design. Songs are fine (tho the remixes for Reload are hit or miss), but they’ve got sound design issues here and there.

@@violetkagexp voices won’t be drowned out too much, as the most egregious example of this in the games were the ones voiced during COVID. Considering how they’re re-recording everything for this game, should be fine
if you wanted to avoid spoilers the trailers arent the best thing to watch as it shows some stuff

If P3 Reload will be succes I am 100% sure they will do P4 Reload. But it will be out only in two years least.

It would take at LEAST 5 years, and that’s not even including the fact they’re going to be remaking 1 and 2 first.
@@ma.2089 It wasn't 5 years. Start is the hardest. When you already have organized process, development goes much faster.

@@dencheq Now knowing about the poll for p2 it does seem likely that older games will come before p4 (and that's without say about the rumors of p6) could take longer
@@violetkagexp The thing is P2 was re-released on PSP and it was a flop. It's not as popular. While people are buying everything from P3 and P4.
Another thing P2 is mostly a bad game, it needs more work than Final Fantasy VII Remake. While P4 just needs a P5 graphics and it's good to go.
@@dencheq production for P3RE started around P3D. That’s when they said they started, and I’m pretty sure that came out in 2018. And was made from scratch in Unreal Engine. Making P1-2 will be as difficult as it was to make this one.
Also, we got P3 remade cuz of the audience polls. In the polls P3 and P2 were voted as equally the most requested remake, with 2nd place falling to P1. In 3rd, it’s P4. P4 is the least desired in the franchise by fans, so why would it be more economically successful? And P4 is already available, they’ll make LESS money. The sheer fact they ported it to modern consoles and NOT P3 FES and P1-2 PSP proves it’s got a higher chance of being remade.
Also, according to insiders/leaks P1-2 remakes are something ATLUS wants to do at some point. They’re not thinking of P4 at all.
