Persona 3 is the reason i stopped trying to commit suicide back 2012... It tackles a lot of reasons why people should value their life... that's all i'm gonna say

@The-Anti Thanks... the one that affected me the most is The Sun Arcana cause I'm in a very similar position as him... I am permanently sick but not terminal I've been taking Maintenance medications for 15 years now and it's expensive my dad abandoned me all i have is my mom... i wanted to die cause i was being bullied and i don't want my mom to spend more money on my meds... but the game made me realize how disrespectful and ungrateful i would be to my mom if i kill myself leaving her alone when I'm her reason she works hard in the first place
All persona games tackle that themes of valuing life, it literally the theme of the franchise
@@john_7000 Persona 5's themes felt way more about social outcasts & fighting against injustice. It did not handle the themes of life, death and the meaning/value of life in quite the same way 3 did if you ask me. Can't speak on the others until I play them though.

I always love seeing people reacting to these reload trailers, seeing people react so positively to my favorite game OAT is always a W. Hope you play this game and enjoy it as much as I did (Oh and btw tartarus appears every night, not just the full moon so dont worry about the grinding part!)

This game means so much to me. Persona 3 left a huge impact on my life and the way that I try to view it, even in the most difficult times. Super excited for a whole new group of people to be introduced to this game's amazing story and characters

The dark hour takes place between midnight and 12:01 AM.
So anyone who is awake during the dark hour lives for 25 hours a day.
No, not everyone experiences the dark hour regardless of if they are awake or not.
The other world in this game (Tartarus), the Midnight Channel in P4, and Mementos in P5 are different places.
I believe that in the world of Persona, each story you play through is essentially a game being played between two gods, one is the final boss of the game, and Philemon, who recruits you through Igor, and monitors you in the form of the Butterfly.
He wouldn’t know who Philemon is since he didn’t play P1-2. But personally, I think Philemon allows personas to exist and monitors humanity alongside his rival. Basically like a game they play against each other with both using proxies. Nyarly doesn’t need to create problems when humans create them themselves, and Philemon simply offers the tools to combat those problems.

@@ChocolateKieranI started the game back around when the game first released on switch and the remake was shown shortly after. In a way I’m upset that I won’t get to experience reload blind but on the other hand the original game has managed to become my favorite persona game in the franchise and I’ll definitely be able to appreciate reload more for fixing the original problems.

P3’s “metaverse” isn’t like P4 or P5. For P5, you enter the other world. In P3, the other world comes to you.

I've been putting off playing any P3 game ever since i heard rumors about a potential remake of the game and i'm SO glad i did couse its gonna be epic for sure!
I hope they do a remake of P4G in the future as well couse its a great game and i'd love to see it look as good as this game does.

Hopefully after Persona 3 Reload we'll get a Persona Revelations, Persona 2 Innocent Sin and Persona 2 Eternal Punishment remake. They're arguably more darker, mature and occult themed than P3. They need a remake more than P4 honestly as P4G isn't too dated to play.
I just checked out all the openings and agreed I NEED the first three Persona titles to get a remake because I'm super curious!

Man I'm hoping you end up uploading the full vods of your playthrough of P3 also if you like it i suggest looking at Persona 2 it gets really good and very dark especially with the second P2 game that continues the story it holds alot Persona lore

@@ChocolateKieran Yeah P2 is extremely interesting and important lore wise abd it would be interesting to see your reaction to it especially considering the that people in P2 are closer to SMT than p3 and up P2 has a sequel that was really good
I'm so glad to see people hyped for this game. Persona 3 is tied with 5 for my second favorite in the series (Sorry but the Persona 2 duology will always be Number 1 for me). The characters and story just felt so real and impactful. I was so bummed when I saw people hating on Reload at first but I'm glad people have turned around
Edit: Since you said you were confused and idk if anyone else explained it, the Dark Hour happens every night at midnight and the player can go to Tartarus at any time. It's only on the full moon when extra strong Shadows appear and defeating them progresses the story
The moon is absolutely an important theme in P3. About as important as the seven deadly sins theme was to P5.

lol the Cdawg callout XD did NOT see that coming. I found out so recently that Cy Yu voices Akihiko, as well as Jing Yuen in Honkai Star Rail, I kinda flipped when I went down that rabbit hole, since he's in some other animes that I love like Horimiya too.
So, Persona 5 is like the odd one out of the Big 3 Persona games. In Persona 3 and 4, the Shadows you fight in the dungeons aren't Personas. Just monsters that range from vague blobs of tar with masks to psuedo-eldritch abominations. You can still get Personas from battle, but not by the negotiation system like in 5.
Persona 1 and the two Persona 2 games(Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment) also have the negotiation system. Persona 3 removed it for whatever reason, and revamped the structure of the games in general.
P3 was the first to introduce the day to day calendar, hanging out with people, and all that other stuff the series has come to be known for. P5 polished everything that came before, reintroduced the negotion system, and P5R even kinda brought back the tag team moves that were in P1&2 with the Showtime attacks.
I do genuinely hope the P1&2 games get full on modern remakes in the future. The plot of them isn't necessarily connected to the later games, but it does give a lot of cool background info. Like "what's the deal with the butterfly motif across the games" and "What are the origins of Igor and the Velvet Room".
Not the most important questions to have answers to, since it's not like these games really have greater overarching and connected narratives, but it's still cool to have all that info in your back pocket. Especially when certain bits can help you figure out the Fake Igor twist in P5 WELL before the game itself drops tangible hints to it.
The Male Party Members actually don't have True Social links
As that was Exclusive to the originals PSP release as the Female protag who doesn't exist as an option in Reload
Persona 3 is about Death
The Moon is used as an indicator of the coming death of everything
Each Full moon A Big Shadow based on the Reversed Arcana attacks during the Dark Hour
Tartarus is brought out everyday at the 12th hour
The Mythical 13th hour the Dark Hour
The Hour in which Dream and Reality fuse
There isnt an exact parallel with Morgana or Teddy in P3. It’ll make more sense when you play.

I feel like Metis was the Morgana & Teddy of P3. Since she's also a creature from the other side sent out to help the team accomplish their goal.
And technically speaking since Metis is a part of Aegis, it's a sound reasoning to believe that Aegis is to P3 what Teddy & Morgana is to P4 & P5.

He's moreso referring to the character shrouded in mystery, which yes Metis is to some extent. But that mystery isn't drawn out over the length of the game. Pharos was who I was referring to. He's linked to everything, presented at the start and has a mysterious past with the cliched amnesia plot device tied in as well, which Metis is missing (from memory).
@@bananabunch4590 Yes, she fills the role. I didn’t mention her since she’s in the epilogue but you are correct. P3 really makes it clear why Teddy and Mona were essential to P4-5.

Persona 3 is an amazing piece of our history. tho Persona 2 Duology was my favorite in the series and far darker. Persona 3 is a game that has its own place in my heart. what a banger. cannot wait for the Remake.

However, people who are Found who don't have a Persona and weren't turned into Coffins are Eaten by Shadows
This doesn't "kill" them but it makes them Hollow Husks without a will to live

@@ChocolateKieran Well, if someone didn't know Star Wars, and you told them Darth Vader was Luke's father, they wouldn't know what that meant. But the second they see Darth Vader on screen, they immediately know it's Luke's father, and the twist is ruined. You've just seen these scenes in the trailer, so when they show up they won't be a surprise (because you've already seen them).
See what I mean? Context doesn't matter. If you're given information prior to experiencing where you'd get that info in the first place, it's a spoiler.
