- Persona has been a series loved by many to the point where the fans love this game so much that developers have gone and remade the games due to its overwhelming popularity. Hype for Persona continues to rise, and many people tell me to check it out more and more every day. As a JRPG fan I feel I must check out what makes persona such a gem. Enjoy me reacting to Persona for the first time. I have no idea what's happening in the past games but watching the openings will be awesome & I'll make some predictions about what I think based on my JRPG experience.

Fun fact: The reason Mitsuru speaks French in the English Dub is because, in the Japanese Dub, she speaks English, and they wanted to keep her bilingual nature, but couldn’t really have her speak Japanese because she already IS Japanese.

The fact that the Walter White mod got you that good is hilarious!! Also, I think you have a misconception about the character Personas. They are not transformations, they are beings that the characters summon to fight alongside them. Think stands from JoJo, for instance.

This character trailer is so hype and I love the insights on the personalities on all of them. Each one brings a unique perspective and different vibe to the team along with versatility of their abilities. If I had to choose my favorite Yukari has to be it I love her personality type, she wears pink, she’s an archer I love range shooters and snipers, and she had me sold on Takoyaki. A girl with taste in class, fashion, and food I have to vouch for and she’s super Cute too. I would love to get to know more about her for sure and the others as well. I’m enjoying these trailers a lot and learning more than I thought I would which is fun. Thank you for hyping us all up EZ with these Persona videos and the community bringing others together to be hype along side with. Awesome work and quality content as always and that Mr Walter White lol gotta love some trolling and humor from time to time I would have been confused too but laughing way more lol. So ever since the original Persona 3, in it and onwards in 4 and 5, you've only been able to have a party of four. And the playable MC is always mandatory so out of all the characters, you can only bring three. Everyone has their own magic element and main job (stuff like magic damage, healing, critical attack focus, physical damage, one shot kills, ect.) so you need to choose wisely depending on the kinda fights you're experiencing or just for team comp in general. But there is one outer party member who's technically always a part of the team once they join and is your technical "fifth" shadow party member. And thats the navigator, or just the 'nav' for short. Fuuka is P3's but 4 and 5 have theirs of course. They can't attack, but what they can do is give random buffs to the party at any given turn start. Stuff like revealing dungeon maps anmt the start of floors, attack, defense or speed buffs, an HP boost, a physical or magic charge, or even protecting the entire party from devistating or fatal AOEs (though that usually only happens once per fight). And you get to unlock these chances by doing their social links, so when you get your nav, it's pretty smart to prioritize their social link because the support they give is super important. Plus, they're all generally good characters. Persona 4 is my and a lot of other's personal favorite of the three navs we have. Not just because she's a great character in herself but is also unironically the most useful and important party member and the best at her job as nav. But Fuuka is a close second. P5's is fine, I'm just not huge on her and P5 isn't a particularly hard game so her buffs aren't as needed as the others. A lot of people would have called Fuuka a bland character in the original because her voice lines weren't entirely well acted and was extremely repetitive and not that useful as a nav. But it seems like they definitely have revamped her personality, voice and usefulness, so I'm excited to see her get a much needed second go.
Non-spoilers.
Hero aka Makoto Yuki - he has traveled to port island for his second year of highschool, on his way he first encounters the Dark Hour ( an hour between days, in which Shadows attack humans not in coffins. Only Persona users and those that have potential can be awake during the Dark Hour ) . He arrives at the dorm and signs a contract.
Yukari - A second year whom at first has trouble summoning her Persona, she joined SEES to save humanity while learning about her dad ( not going into details on that end ). In the base 3 / fes and portable the community joked about how often her bow attacks missed. But now she wont miss as much in Reload. She uses Garu ( wind attacks ) / healing.
Junpei - A second year that recently awoke to his Persona and wants to be a hero / ladies man, a major gamer / loves baseball. He uses physical attacks / Agi (fire attacks).
Aki ( boxer guy ) - He had his Persona before Reload started, he boxes and is a third year. He , Shinji , and Mitsuru go way back. Aki uses physical attacks and Zio ( aka electric attacks ) while also de buffing the enemies.
Mitsuru - She is a rich third year, knows Fench and uses Ice ( Bufu ) while also using ( MARIN KAREN! ) a normally useless charm attack that the community made jokes on.
Fuuka - A soft spoken second year, she loves to fix machines but is very bad at cooking. She is a navi ( someone that gives battle support and info without fighting ).
Aigis - aka the robot waifu and one of the two that is often shipped with Makoto ( MC ). She was built to fight shadows a long time ago and wakes up later in the story. She has a special mode that increases her damage, and she really only uses physical moves / buffs for the team. Too bad her and Yukari are weak to Zio in the old games.
Koro - He is a dog that uses his special collar to summon his Persona, he lost his master and the team find him fighting a shadow without his Persona! He is such a good boy and Aigis can talk to him. He uses Fire / Darkness attacks.
Ken - He uses a spear as well as Light attacks with light healing, his mom died during the Dark Hour and he saw it. He ends up joining the team.
Shinji - The cook and the bad boy school skipper, he uses physical attacks mostly and is very cool.
The party is the protag and 3 others and Fuuka who's a special support character thats always in the party but doesn't fight. Also in the original the optimal party was Akihiko, Yukari and Aigis

I assure you a majority of the community is very friendly and loves seeing new people join the series
What I can admit is they are very quick to critique. Like in the case of P3Rs new cast being shat on to a religious disagree because they aren't the original VAs, you just have to accept that there's always THAT part of the community.

Your mistaken my friend whenever they show the characters own persona it's their base form which still look sick but just you wait till you see there evolutions all of them are amazing looking. Wonderful reaction tho can't wait till you more trailers also 9 more days dude!

You can have a party of four participating in combat. However, you also always get one character who acts as your "navigator". That characters doesn't fight, so they don't take up one of your four spots, but they do things to assist you regardless. Fuuka is the navigator for Persona 3. And, no, Walter White is not in the game.
Also, the figure that it shows that you kept referring to as a transformation is their persona, which isn't a transformation, rather a summon.
Honestly the characters are all amazing. I'm old and played the original when it first came out in 2006/2007 and it's literally never left my top 3 favorite games. I even got an HDMI converter to play it on my PS2 lol. It's just so insanely good

P3 has the most interesting cast and more real, I love P4 and P5 but they are just to happy lol, Well P3 is my fav game in the series so i'm so excited to play again with upgraded graphics :)

This is absolutely true! Many games have good animal characters, but Ghost Trick has THE BEST animal characters, no contest.
Persona 3 has my favorite cast:
Makoto: My favorite protagonist.
Yukari: My favorite female character and waifu in the franchise.
Junpei: My favorite clown in the franchise.
Akihiko: Everyone loves him.
Mitsuru: The Execution Empress.
Fuuka: She is so kind, but in the main story is completely irrelevant, I hope Reload gives her more time to shine.
Koromaru: The best dog in the world.
Aigis: The best toaster and everyone loves her.
Ken: He is really underrated, but I like him.
Shinjiro: My favorite male character in the franchise.
Fuuka is a character that is a Navigator, meaning... she doesn't directly partake in battle, but acts as rear guard support. She doesn't even have HP. That I'm aware of. The others though... yeah, there's a limit. I haven't played it myself yet though. I know Persona 5 was limited to four in the team, but I don't know if that's the same for Persona 3 or not. It's likely either 3 or 4 teammates at any one time, with Fuuka not counting towards that number.
Navi always have HP and SP. HP not being relevant at all, and in this game for the first time SP being used for skills in the overworld and one Oracle theurgy skill.
And yes, you have up to 4 in the party (mc and 3 friends) and the navi
@@BelBelle468 HP for your navigator was relevant in P5S, as there were sections when you had to defend her while she did her thing. But that's a spin-off so a lot of people wouldn't really count it.
All character in P3 are well written and have their own mini story arcs.

Ken uses either a Glaive or a Naginata. Either way its some kind of Polearm.
My favourite is Yukari, generally for the same reasons why people hate her.
