    Such a good video for an introduction to using Webhooks. I was able to use MacroDroid and IFTTT and make a similar macro/webhook implementation for an overheating issue I've had with my phone and a particular wireless charger. Just had to change the trigger to battery temp instead of battery level. Awesome job!

    Very clear, now understand what web hooks are how they work. All makes perfect sense thank you.

    Awesome video and clear instructions! I assume MacroDroid needs to always be running in the background on the phone then for this to work? Is there anything I need to do to prevent Android from putting the app into a deep sleep/disabled, etc...? Also when this runs it will turn off the smart switch, so do I need to add any additional actions to turn on the smart switch again automatically (for the next day)?

    Thank you. Your solution worked for me, using TP-Link model 100. Greatly appreciated!

    This is a great method to limit charging. I like it better than the notification method. Notifications at off at night with do not disturb. I thought that would be a problem but the author of the video assured me it would not. But it does depend on 2 apps running in the background. I like this solution as I always have Macrodroid running for tasks.
    Is limiting the charging to 90% of any value? 80 seems so low. Also I will occasionally charge to 100% because of the usage since last full charge function. I use this to look for apps draining power in the background.
    Thanks for a brilliant solution.

    Great tutorial. Used Hue Philips adapter and works perfectly. Thank you.

    On samsung phones, you can do the same with bixby routines ( you still need the smart plug)

    I don't have TP-Link Kasa, it work only with macrodroid and normal power plug?

    Hi! This is quite ingenious. Do you think you could reverse the process and turn the smart plug back on when the power drops to say 70%? This would ensure the phone would always have 70-80% battery after an overnight charge. Thank you for great video!

      Yeah... Alternatively you could have the plug turn on about 1.5 hrs before you wake up

    I need a solution that requires no internet connection. Is that possible?

    Will this work with TP-Link HS100 Wi-Fi Smart Plug
    It uses the Kasa app to configure

    Bro I can't connect tp link kasa saying password or email is invalid but email and password is correct

    Its better to use Connectivity Check action instead and set the local variable to True, this way it wont open any browsers you have installed on the Phone.

    Amazon video! I’ve followed and use this process for several months on my android device. Now I’m trying to implement it on my iPhone using workflow in conjunction with ifttt. Will let u know if it works somehow

    Starting today 2/15/24, IFTTT killed webhooks for free users, you need a PRO plan to use webhooks 😔. Anyone know any free alternatives to IFTTT webhooks?

    Great concept, will this work with phone charging on wireless charger?

    • @TechNotebook
      @TechNotebook  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! It will work the same but just make sure to enable the "wireless charging" option after you set the charging trigger. Also, make sure to set a time for the charger to turn on again in IFTTT, unless you want to do it manually.

    So what plug do you recommend? I for example don't have the same wall sockets as in the US.

    • @TechNotebook
      @TechNotebook  3 года назад +1

      You can use any smart plug that is compatible with IFTTT. I believe belkin and tp-link also offer alternative socket types.
