They finally showed how strong Rex really is. Not only did he kill Komodo, something that was completely out of reach for the other 2, but he oneshot Salamander, survived getting shot to the head, and finished the job with Lizard King.
They are living in world where superhumans exist, and elite soldiers should reasonably know the possibilities of an adrenaline rush anyways, so they should not be too shocked about this.

You know, Rex surviving that gunshot to the head really isn't that surprising when you consider it missed the brain stem, went cleanly through the skull, and doesn't seem to have destroyed anything that a human couldn't feasibly live without. There's been a few cases of irl humans surviving injuries like that, so Rex being a superhuman probably makes it a bit easier for him as well

Those are smear frames to make movements look smoother in real time, its a trick employed in most 2d animations as they are individual frames which move along, not a fluid motion.

Rex was sold by his family to a shadow organisation who were making superheros. When he escaped he found out his family had another child and they moved on so he did too. He became a superhero to save others. 😢😢😢
The amount of respect I have for Rex is incalculable. This man has done a lot of crap in his life, but you know how he spent his possible last moments? The thing I really like is how the show puts off Rex being shot in the last episode as a cliffhanger, but then in the next episode just has him be shot. You expect something to save him because that’s how cliffhangers are designed but no he just gets shot in the head.
