- Join us as we make our way to Europa Park located in Rust, Germany. In this travel vlog we use public transport to travel from Basel Airport through to the town of Ringsheim, home to the nearest train station to Europa Park. We share the exact details of our journey that involves the use of 2 busses and a train along with giving you a tour of our accommodation located in the town of Rust.
As many people have asked us what the best way to get to the park was by public transport, we hope this video helps those of you that are planning a visit to Europa Park in the future.

I adore Europa park, went there last year and fell in love with it.
It's a gorgeous park, so many lovely areas
When I went in April, I flew into Baden Airpak and then got an airport shuttle to Rastatt. From here we got a train to offenburg, where we got on another train that went to Ringsheim. Then we got to Europa Park by one of EP's buses to the park entrance.
The journey was painless, easy and required minimal planning!
ThankYou brother, I am hoping to go here with my mum in august as a post birthday treat. Good to have visuals with extra info like Swiss direction at airport, bus fare in chf/card etc.

Just this weekend my parents surprised me and my sister with a short trip to Europa Park as part of our holiday in Austria (considering this will be our last holiday as a family of four). I'm already doing some preparations because we have only been there once before in 2011. I'm very much looking forward to your vlog(s) and seeing the changes the park has undergone over the last few years!

Me and my best friend Chloe will use this to help us when we go to Europa park in 2019 but we may even film our own travel Vlog as she lives in Cologne and I'm in the uk

You can also take a bus to Freiburg and then change in Freiburg to take a other bus/train to the park. Greetings from Freiburg

It really is a pain to get to from the UK. Iv never been and always wanted to go but the thought of a plane journey, a bus ride and then a 2 HR train journey for a themepark puts me off.
It is alot however very easy to do and worth it
Loved the video. There is another travel option which is even easier. You can take the Flixbus right from Basel Airport to Freiburg (Breisgau) and get on another Flixbus there that takes you directly to the Park. I think there is only one or two connections per day though, so you'd have to plan your flight accordingly. But it's 2 to 2.5 hours from the Airport to the Park, so it's the fastest option and probably the easiest as well.

Just been to Blackpool pleasure beach and if your on steeple chase you can see a skull with water coloured red coming out of it for Icon
Very interesting. I used the public transport to go to Europa Park two times now. Normally I drive by car. It is a 4,5 hour drive for us. But it is good and easy with DB, too. We can take the ICE to Offenburg (3h) then the Regional Bahn to Ringsheim and then the Bus to Rust. Btw. Did you know that Basel Airport isn't located in Switzerland? It is in France! So you visited three Countrys on one trip.

Theme Park Worldwide addicted to these blog great entertainment only found them a couple of months back watched everyone in 2017 . At 46 maybe I am too old for Theme parks but enjoy watching and learning about them? Wondered are there any decent theme parks in Switzerland and have you been to any of them!
I was a bit confused watching this because Basel airport is actually in France 🇫🇷 not Switzerland but operated by the French & Swiss( probably why you can use Euros in the ticket machine)

Sorry ya, im from asia country, so could not really know exactly.
You taking bus to Basel SBB station to Ringsheim and bus to the Park.
As i knew we either use franc currency or credit card to buy ticket to Basel SBB,
online ticket from DB for train, how about bus to the park?
you bought from the driver?
Another question, do all this services allows us to board our big luggage?
i use go to other europe country, no problem.
Besides, i do read others about alternative taking via Freiburg thru Flixbus too. it say Frequent.
Do you know during December period will all this services requent?
what you spend for 5nights beside to the park? i think 2days sufficient.

I hope you have a great time! They are both the same airports, you can buy the bus ticket from the driver! I like to spend plenty of time at the park for a relaxing visit and also to film plenty of videos!

Was the train connection you said you've made before easy to do? There's no direct trains anymore.
It was indeed, very easy to work out
Or you can do it the insanely complicated way me and my brother are doing it in 2 weeks; a train from Derby to London, then a train from London to Paris, then a train from Paris to Strasbourg, then a train from Strasbourg to Orschweier, then taxi to our accommodation in Kappel-Grafenhausen.
That sounds like fun, I'm sure you'll have plenty of stories to tell from that one
I hope so! It'll make the 11 hour journey worth while.
I dont like flying either, it takes longer to travel by train but it's enjoyable :)

How long did the whole journey take? how much were the flights& accommodation?
It took around 2 hours 30 minutes in total. Flights around £40 return and accommodation £200 each for 5 nights
