Nice design, the overall non-compactness of the mini on a desk was the reason I switched to i3MK3s. The only downside I see in this mod is that the underside spool holder will be specific only for some spool types and sizes, so I imagine that with a lot of spools you end up using the separate desk spool stand anyway.

@@PetrHosek of cause. We are Prusa and we have Prusament. if someone use something different then remix it for other brands of filament. I’m considering doing this upgrade, but has anyone done it? If so, have you noticed any less sound? Personally, I think the printer can get a bit loud and I am considering making some modifications to quiet it down, but I would rather do this instead.

How about a side mounted spool holder instead? I can’t seem to find one that isn’t overly complex

I Love that! Although I got a different power brick. Mine was one of the firsts mini+ shipped. I hope someone makes a version for older style power bricks as well!

Very ingenious! I have two questions. 1. Does the printer still fits under the Ikea Lack table with this combined new height? 2. Some filament reels are wider, in particular the 1Kg ones. Do they fit in this filament holder? Thank you and nice work

      1. No. Inch or so too short. 2. No also…….

very nice video, after this video I'm going to start saving for this printer, it looks compact, very good and most importantly the print looks very good, just the problem is that there is no money, so I'm going to save, good video ❤

I'm going to design something similar for my CR10 and Sidewinder X1 machines. Absolutely love it
