I thought metal block for $300+ was stupid until I jokingly showed some boards to my uncle who does some cnc stuff with metals and he said that those prices seem about right especially for limited run cases because metal stock of those sizes is both very expensive to source and difficult to machine.

No matter deep I go, I'll never understand artisans. I'm building my own damn PCB and plate for a heavy-9 case so I can have a programmable board with pcb-mount stabs. But $90 for a bad sounding, usually fragile, rough feeling keycap? Hell nah.

The worst main ever: lubing tactile switches and they all come out inconsistent even though you spent 10+ hours lubing and trying to get rid of ping.

The fact that I learned to touch type on an old IBM model M keyboard is the whole stupid reason I care about mkbd's. If only I had known I could have stayed with the MS ergonomic kb my mom had bought back when. And being a rational adult it's not a habit, really. I can control myself!
RGB improves your motivation and FPS by about 200% so it's indeed a necessity.

I got my first mech board about a year ago, a tofu, and I upgraded and tampered with it. I liked it, but I decided it was time to try something new, so I got an ikki68 aurora, which arrives in abotu a month. I put my tofu for sale, expecting it to sell later, and my cousin bought it off me in a day. I now got rid of my only custom. I was left with my corsair K70 from 2 years ago. It's not even the old one, it has the bad cyber font, cherry silvers, and actuates at like 1.2mm. I hate it. and the thumbnail reminded me of how I used to be happy with it, and now I'm here... ALSO I GOT A MODE65 WHICH IS HALF OF MY BANK ACCOUNT ARRIVING JANUARY!
Having moved from TKLs, to 65%, finally down to a few 60% group buys coming soon; I feel that layout comment hits too close to home.
