Soda stereo no solo es la mejor banda de latinoametica si no es una de las mejores bandas a nivel mundial por su alta calidad musical. Fui muy afortunado de verlos en vivo en Rosario mi ciudad. Me da mucho orgullo que aubque la banda en si ya no este y Gustavo tampico muchos descubran su musica y la disfruten . Su musica vivira por siempre. Gracias Soda Stereo por ser la banda de sonido de mi vida.
Até hoje não me conformo como brasileiro não termos recebido essa grandiosa banda de rock em nosso pais, eu conheci o Soda Stereo em 1994 e desde lá me tornei fã dessa maravilhosa banda!

Soy Chileno y sin lugar a dudas Soda Stereo es la mejor banda de Rock Latino, marco toda una época en los 80 y parte de los 90's tremenda calidad musical, pero por sobre todo en sus letras. Sería muy raro encontrar alguna persona que no los conozca por este lado del mundo.
HOLA pequeño.....tego 66 años y 30 cuando estaban en sus comienzos.....cada dia los escucho y siempre descubro nuevas cosas....Gustavo se fue pero nos dejo su energia para siempre....era un genio en todo la extension de la palabra....bello carismatico.cuidadoso y no pasa un dia sin rendirle los honores escuchando algo de su creacion......como solista escuacha y ve el video de LAGO EN EL CIELO en Monterrey.

Well done, in Argentina "La Ciudad de la Furia" is Buenos Aires - the capital.... the crowd is insane. This concert is part of the tour "Me veras volver", reunion tour after 10 years out of the stages. Before that, they perform "El ultimo concierto", it was that, the last perform as a band - You can enjoy both - are insane. Every single song is amazing, including the versions from MTV unplugged special. I've been listening Soda for 30 years. Coldplay did a tribute of them playing "Musica Ligera", in Argentina - in Spanish.

No es un festival, es una de las 6 noches en q Soda actuo en el estadio River Plate (ac/dc live in River) en Buenos Aires para festejar su reencuentro despues de 10 años de la separacion de la banda. No debe haber concierto en vivo que suene mejor en la historia Siempre Seremos Soda!!!!

Cirque de Soleil solo hizo 4 espectaculos homenaje, a The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson y a Soda Stereo. Tan grandes fueron y son q Coldplay hizo en vivo un cover de De misica ligera. Chris Martin dijo q eso fue su momento mas mistico en la musica. Ademas Gustavo toco con varios musicos internacionales. Uno de ellos fue Andy Summer de The Police, banda q los inspiro, y fue invitado por este a ser la voz de la banda en una serie de conciertos homenaje donde no iba a estar Sting pero lo rechazo xq estaba oanzando su primer disco solista. Si revisas la carrera de Soda y de Gustavo solista veras lo enormes que fueron y xq siguen tan vigentes para nosotros. Me gusta, particularmente, la referencia al vuelo de Ícaro. Ese "hombre alado" que vuela tan cerca del sol (sol como símbolo de conocimiento o como la vanidad, según diversas interpretaciones del mito) que sus alas se derriten y la noche lo abriga. La oscuridad lo abriga. También representa esa vuelta dolorosa a la realidad luego de sentir plenitud.

Wow, THIS REALLY MADE MY DAY! I told you they are amazing. The same vibe was felt in each one of their concerts. They are an absolute icon of our culture. There is not a single Latin American who doesn't know Soda Stereo. I also recommend you to follow the career as a solist of its lead singer, Gustavo Cerati, one of the most respected singers here. In fact, he won a Latin Grammy. Unfortunately, he died in 2014, but he left a legacy that will remain in every Argentinian heart forever. When he sings he transmits something that you can't explain. Actually it wasn't a festival, it was a Soda Stereo show. Soda Stereo didn't revolutionize or reinvent music like the Beatles, but something they are alike is in terms of the massive impact in hispanic pop culture. Like the Beatles, Queen or ABBA, Soda Stereo is the kind of band everyone in hispanic latin america knows every song, even if you're not a fan of them or even if you hate them, their music is massively known in everywhere here.

Por fin la verdadera buena música de Argentina. Tenemos una larga tradición de rock, que era el genero más popular entre los jóvenes hasta no hace mucho. Lamentablemente veo que lo que te llega de mi pais en este momento es esa moda de los géneros urbanos, que no tienen nada que ver con nuestra cultura, son sonidos de Centroamérica, prefabricados, chatos y burdos como el reggaeton y el trap. Nuestra música era el rock, el tango y el folklore. Bueno, espero que sigas por este camino, más de Soda Stereo please!!!!! "La Ciudad de la Furia" is a metaphore for Buenos Aires City. For me, this song describes the city of BA as if it were a woman, mostly in the night. In a way he refers to himself and the fact of practically living at night as if he were a vampire.

En muchas letras Gustavo buscaba esas metáforas eróticas, era un tipo muy sensual, lo verás en otros videos y canciones, y en este caso, si bien compara a Bs As con una mujer cuando dice: "Me dejarás dormir al amanecer entre tus piernas", en referencia a que en ese momento vivía intensamente la excitante vida nocturna de Buenos Aires ("la ciudad que nunca duerme", como se la conoce, con bares y hasta librerías abiertas toda la noche), también es el centro de la vida económica y política del país, donde la gente vive acelerada, enojada, y donde suceden los hechos más convulsionantes, las protestas más significativas o visibles cuando hay alguna crisis de las tantas que hemos tenido. Pero básicamente, sí, Cerati hablaba de la libertad ("un hombre alado"), de su predilección por la vida nocturna y todo lo que podía experimentar en una gran ciudad cosmopolita, y que también, de vez en cuando, deseaba bajar a la realidad, volver a poner sus pies en la tierra o recuperar algo de la tranquilidad escapando de la turbulencia de una gran ciudad. Hola Matt se escucha muy bajo el tema musical. Me gusta tu reacción. Soda stereo es un grupo increíble que por su nivel musical debería ser conocido en el mundo entero. Tenes que tener en cuenta que esta música es de los '80 y fueron reversionadas en el 2007. La obra de Soda fue cambiando y mejorado con el paso del tiempo pero te puedo asegurar que los temas en vivo son mucho mejores que los de estudio. El rock Argentino tiene depende del grupo influencias no sólo del tango y el folclórica sino de otros estilos musicales. Te aseguro que has iniciado un viaje maravilloso. Charli Garcia, Spinetta, Fito paez, Mollo, Calamaro y tantos musicos y grupos han hecho del Rock Argentino una experiencia inigualable que debe ser vivida por todo aquel que ame la música.

I love that you found Soda Stereo, welcome to Argentina, you are going to love it and hate it ;) Let me begin by telling you this was not a festival, this was just them on the Me veras volver tour, they had broke up the band before and reunited to this amazing tour, the songs are actually way older and all previous to autotune. I would love for you to listen more of them because is amazing but you can also check out Los Redondos, Divididos o los piojos. Beside that i would recomend to watch the documentary " the best crowd in the world" is about the crows in Argentina

The lead singer of Soda, Gustavo Cerati (unfortunately pass away after four years of coma in 2014) is an icon of the Argentine rock and Internationally recognized idol, who has been friends with many rock musicians from the US and the United Kingdom such as Roger Waters from Pink Floyd for example.
It was not a festival my friend, it was their concert! That's how big Soda Sereo were and *still* are here. If you wanna listen more from them I would recommend "No existes" and "En Remolinos" (both also from this concert) and "Te para tres" from their MTV Unplugged for a different chill vibe. Also, you should check out Gustavo Cerati's solo career (the singer and guitarrist), it's just as good (if not better) as his work with Soda. Well, that concert was only 70 thousand people, it was the last of the bunch of concerts of the reunion of Soda Stereo. In all shows, all over America, there was a million people in all shows.

Soy argentino (rosarino) 56 años y vivo en España hace 25. Viejo roquero, vi grupos de casi todo el mundo pero Soda tiene un no se que que esta vigente hoy, mañana y siempre. Los vi en Mar del Plata (en el viejo campo de deportes) hace pufff ni recuerdo cuando y de telonero fue, nada más y nada menos, que el gran flaco Espineta. Una maravilla de grupo, lastima que Gustavo ya partió a cantarle a Dios.
Soda stereo no solo es la mejor banda de latinoametica si no es una de las mejores bandas a nivel mundial por su alta calidad musical. Fui muy afortunado de verlos en vivo en Rosario mi ciudad. Me da mucho orgullo que aubque la banda en si ya no este y Gustavo tampico muchos descubran su musica y la disfruten . Su musica vivira por siempre. Soy Chileno y sin lugar a dudas Soda Stereo es la mejor banda de Rock Latino, marco toda una época en los 80 y parte de los 90's tremenda calidad musical, pero por sobre todo en sus letras. Sería muy raro encontrar alguna persona que no los conozca por este lado del mundo.

sí es una metáfora y si se refiere a la argentina de mediados de los 70s del golpe de estado y la dictadura, empezando la época del terror, miles de personas desaparecidas, una excelente cancion como todas las de soda estéreo.

This concert is part of the tour "Me veras volver", reunion tour after 10 years out of the stages. Before that, they perform "El ultimo concierto", it was that, the last perform as a band - You can enjoy both - are insane. Every single song is amazing, including the versions from MTV unplugged special. I've been listening Soda for 30 years. Cirque de Soleil solo hizo 4 espectaculos homenaje, a The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson y a Soda Stereo. Tan grandes fueron y son q Coldplay hizo en vivo un cover de De misica ligera. Chris Martin dijo q eso fue su momento mas mistico en la musica. Ademas Gustavo toco con varios musicos internacionales. Uno de ellos fue Andy Summer de The Police, banda q los inspiro, y fue invitado por este a ser la voz de la banda en una serie de conciertos homenaje donde no iba a estar Sting pero lo rechazo xq estaba oanzando su primer disco solista. Si revisas la carrera de Soda y de Gustavo solista veras lo enormes que fueron y xq siguen tan vigentes para nosotros. Te sugiero ver del mismo recital el tema 'Profugos', 'No Existes' con Rocjard Coleman como invitado y el video de 'Traeme la Noche' con Andy Summer. SALUDOS!!!!

Me gusta, particularmente, la referencia al vuelo de Ícaro. Ese "hombre alado" que vuela tan cerca del sol (sol como símbolo de conocimiento o como la vanidad, según diversas interpretaciones del mito) que sus alas se derriten y la noche lo abriga. La oscuridad lo abriga. También representa esa vuelta dolorosa a la realidad luego de sentir plenitud.

Wow, THIS REALLY MADE MY DAY! I told you they are amazing. The same vibe was felt in each one of their concerts. They are an absolute icon of our culture. There is not a single Latin American who doesn't know Soda Stereo.
I also recommend you to follow the career as a solist of its lead singer, Gustavo Cerati, one of the most respected singers here. In fact, he won a Latin Grammy. Unfortunately, he died in 2014, but he left a legacy that will remain in every Argentinian heart forever. When he sings he transmits something that you can't explain.
Two other songs that really drive me crazy from Soda are "Un Millón de Años Luz" and "Estoy Azulado". But you have te listen to the original studio version of them. AMO TUS REACCIONES ❤

Actually it wasn't a festival, it was a Soda Stereo show. Soda Stereo didn't revolutionize or reinvent music like the Beatles, but something they are alike is in terms of the massive impact in hispanic pop culture. Like the Beatles, Queen or ABBA, Soda Stereo is the kind of band everyone in hispanic latin america knows every song, even if you're not a fan of them or even if you hate them, their music is massively known in everywhere here.

Por fin la verdadera buena música de Argentina. Tenemos una larga tradición de rock, que era el genero más popular entre los jóvenes hasta no hace mucho. Lamentablemente veo que lo que te llega de mi pais en este momento es esa moda de los géneros urbanos, que no tienen nada que ver con nuestra cultura, son sonidos de Centroamérica, prefabricados, chatos y burdos como el reggaeton y el trap. Nuestra música era el rock, el tango y el folklore. Bueno, espero que sigas por este camino, más de Soda Stereo please!!!!! Que placer es ver a alguien descubriendo a Soda. Apenas has visto una mínima parte de la que es seguramente la mejor banda de rock en español. Disfruta el viaje. Te recomiendo seguir con "Prófugos" y "No existes" de este mismo concierto y "Génesis" del MTV unplugged. Like y sub.

"La Ciudad de la Furia" is a metaphore for Buenos Aires City. For me, this song describes the city of BA as if it were a woman, mostly in the night. In a way he refers to himself and the fact of practically living at night as if he were a vampire.

En muchas letras Gustavo buscaba esas metáforas eróticas, era un tipo muy sensual, lo verás en otros videos y canciones, y en este caso, si bien compara a Bs As con una mujer cuando dice: "Me dejarás dormir al amanecer entre tus piernas", en referencia a que en ese momento vivía intensamente la excitante vida nocturna de Buenos Aires ("la ciudad que nunca duerme", como se la conoce, con bares y hasta librerías abiertas toda la noche), también es el centro de la vida económica y política del país, donde la gente vive acelerada, enojada, y donde suceden los hechos más convulsionantes, las protestas más significativas o visibles cuando hay alguna crisis de las tantas que hemos tenido. Pero básicamente, sí, Cerati hablaba de la libertad ("un hombre alado"), de su predilección por la vida nocturna y todo lo que podía experimentar en una gran ciudad cosmopolita, y que también, de vez en cuando, deseaba bajar a la realidad, volver a poner sus pies en la tierra o recuperar algo de la tranquilidad escapando de la turbulencia de una gran ciudad. Hola Matt se escucha muy bajo el tema musical. Me gusta tu reacción. Soda stereo es un grupo increíble que por su nivel musical debería ser conocido en el mundo entero. Tenes que tener en cuenta que esta música es de los '80 y fueron reversionadas en el 2007. La obra de Soda fue cambiando y mejorado con el paso del tiempo pero te puedo asegurar que los temas en vivo son mucho mejores que los de estudio. El rock Argentino tiene depende del grupo influencias no sólo del tango y el folclórica sino de otros estilos musicales. Te aseguro que has iniciado un viaje maravilloso. Charli Garcia, Spinetta, Fito paez, Mollo, Calamaro y tantos musicos y grupos han hecho del Rock Argentino una experiencia inigualable que debe ser vivida por todo aquel que ame la música.

A great band, you have to react to "No existes" "Corazon Delator", "Profugos". It was not a festival, that was a concert only for them, as people said that was a great band. I think that was when thet reunion again. "Gracias Totales". Unfortinatelly the singer Gustavo Cerati past away many years ago.

I love that you found Soda Stereo, welcome to Argentina, you are going to love it and hate it ;) Let me begin by telling you this was not a festival, this was just them on the Me veras volver tour, they had broke up the band before and reunited to this amazing tour, the songs are actually way older and all previous to autotune. I would love for you to listen more of them because is amazing but you can also check out Los Redondos, Divididos o los piojos. Beside that i would recomend to watch the documentary " the best crowd in the world" is about the crows in Argentina

Es un honor y un gran placer que un joven como vos y extranjero de tan lejos te guste Soda Stereo. La mejor banda de Rock de habla Hispana de la Historia. Eran buenos en todo. Voz, instrumentos composición. Calidad muy alta. Te recomiendo que escuches a La Ley una banda Chilena. Casi contemporánea con Soda. Extraordinaria casi al mismo nivel. Beto Cuevas es su cantante. The lead singer of Soda, Gustavo Cerati (unfortunately pass away after four years of coma in 2014) is an icon of the Argentine rock and Internationally recognized idol, who has been friends with many rock musicians from the US and the United Kingdom such as Roger Waters from Pink Floyd for example.

I was there, and it was magical. 70,000 souls singing and jumping in unison, it felt like a musical mass.
It was not a festival my friend, it was their concert! That's how big Soda Sereo were and *still* are here. If you wanna listen more from them I would recommend "No existes" and "En Remolinos" (both also from this concert) and "Te para tres" from their MTV Unplugged for a different chill vibe. Also, you should check out Gustavo Cerati's solo career (the singer and guitarrist), it's just as good (if not better) as his work with Soda. From him I suggest to listen to "Medium", "Vivo" and "Puente".

The name of the tour "Me veras volver" means "You'll see me come back". On the studio version of this song, the last part says exactly that... You'll see me come back. 😊

Well, that concert was only 70 thousand people, it was the last of the bunch of concerts of the reunion of Soda Stereo. In all shows, all over America, there was a million people in all shows.

I was lucky enough to be in a small pub in Buenos Aires, called "Zero Bar" just by chance, the very first day they played before an audience. It must have been in the early 80s. I was BLOWN AWAY and I knew immediately they would make it to big crowds. Incredible!

Soy argentino (rosarino) 56 años y vivo en España hace 25. Viejo roquero, vi grupos de casi todo el mundo pero Soda tiene un no se que que esta vigente hoy, mañana y siempre. Los vi en Mar del Plata (en el viejo campo de deportes) hace pufff ni recuerdo cuando y de telonero fue, nada más y nada menos, que el gran flaco Espineta. Una maravilla de grupo, lastima que Gustavo ya partió a cantarle a Dios.
