She still looks absolutely stunning! I just can't get over the fact she is in her 70s when she still looks as beautiful as she did in the 1970s. She also still rocks with the best of them! ❤

Gorgeous gal. She puts James East at ease in this interview and acknowledges other artists. I love that about her. It is not just a desperate look at me vibe. You just can't take your eyes off her. Her face is so interesting
I had a pair of platform shoes with the Pepsi logo on them in the 70s. They were as thick as hers and impossible to run or do anything in them. I miss the the 70s and Blondie! Cheers.
I read her book and she just has a curiosity about life, culture, art, and experience that she’s maintained from childhood through to old age. She is just interested in everything.
This is a very intelligent well spoken women.......so many others can not keep this level of conversation without being self promoting..... Hence stevie nicks......who is always promoting and not necessarily intelectualizzing their career like Debra is capable of. I love both artist and certainly have an individual respect for ms harry.
I'm VERY dissapointed in you Debbie ! I sent you a birthday card to your home in Jersey with a couple photos of me and my little girl, telling you what a big fan I have been since the 70's. I searched all over South Street in Philly to find a Blondie t-shirt for my daughter, bought several of your CD's and albums over the years. Saw your concerts many, many times. I really love Union City Blue. It gives me chills and goose bumps. All I ever wanted was an autographed photo. I never received one. 💔😭 I hope you see this and reply. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💯💘😍 You are just as Beautiful now as you were in the 70's ! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝SAVE THE BEES ! 🤩😘

I have followed Blondie and Debbie since they played at CBGBs.The one word I always think about since the beginning when watching and hearing Debbie is the word “cool”. It’s a word a I use rarely to describe someone. Debbie was cool way back and continues to be cool to this day. I wish I had the opportunity to meet her.
How can she be so down-to-earth when she's Debbie-fucking-Harry? Her biography is amazing. It is so beautifully written. The most surprising thing about Debbie is just how sociable she is. She went to New York, as a young woman, and spoke to EVERYONE. What a rare and super-sociable human being she truly is.
@@leahflower9924 I saw Robert, walking through Birmingham, about eight years ago. He walked right past me. It was him. Of course, I didn't say anything. Leah, you wouldn't have said anything either😂

i really wish you brought in someone else to interview her. it's a missed opportunity. it could've been something much more special. it's not without its moments though but some of them spawned from the interviewer's ineptitude or lack of knowledge about debbie and blondie. i'm not saying i would've done a better job since i'd probably end up just passed out or completely nervous but i would've certainly tried. a 10 year old madonna though.............. like seriously.........
people use the term icon way to much ,Debra harry is the real deal ,she was there at the beginning and lived it, and is as valid today as she was then ,apart from her talent she still has one of the most amazing faces in music, my 3 fave iconic faces of music are david bowie grace jones and debra harry
One of the most boring interviews ever. How this guy has missed an in depth chat with this real original and fascinating major star - he see, to be too full of himself and when not he gravels - the lady deserves more - she seems to almost falling asleep but she must do this book tour I guess - I for one stopped in the middle, in fact it sent me to sleep .
In earlier interviews they stated that "heart of glass" was in part inspired by Kraftwerk, but I would imagine Moroder had a lot to do with it. Debbie thought he was talking about the Roland drum synth but I think he meant the keyboard arp but he didn't want to belabor the point which was class. I love you Debbie! I hope I get to meet you someday :)
That smile and those eyes. Those trainers 😍 still making fashion statements. Why growing older, should you feel older and need to start dressing at M&S, Debbie says no!
@@michaelmckenna7109 I think in the interview should atleast asked her. "Are you a child killing Luciferian?" Because that is what they are being accused of in case you don't know. What is your next comment MM? Yeah and...
He means well and has a pleasant , conversational manner but he may have been better to ask (shorter) questions (and a little less obvious ones) and leave his understandable adulation out of it. Debbie Harry does look fairly bored ("it was cold") and I can only watch 5 mins of it before being bored myself! Suggest, Debbie (likely) would have enjoyed a sharper approach / attack. The interviewee / interview lacks energy so she hasn't much to be engaged about.
Know your subject if you’re going to interview someone! Debbie Harry is already pretty blasé, but leaping around timelines is just off-putting. From French Kissing to Maria? Blondie and Talking Heads? Annie Lennox? A ten year-old Madonna?! Uggg.
I love Debbie and Blondie and the fact that she is still so relevant today, but she has clearly had so much done to her face that I prefer to listen rather than watch.
This interviewer needs to let people finish a thought. There were times it seemed Debbie was about to tell a good tale and he interrupts and redirects to a lame question.
It was all about the money. David Bowie had to cast off Mick Ronson and his spiders 🕷 the same way Blondie had to move forward. Session guys who have am image and become part of the overall success but aren't really songwriters....get testy when they can't participate in the money.....
I sensed something unique and unusual about Blondie, and I LOVED her (I mean the band🙃 I still love her!) Strange is a subjective adjective and can mean a lot of things. Blondie may have been "strange", but the very best kind!
Some awkward long-winded questions man. Relate the short questions more back to Debbie's experiences. You seem to be feeding her your responses and sound a bit like a fanboy with all due respect. I read the book and I would ask her about lyric writing, the impact of the environment in NYC in the '70s. It was quite a rough place. How did get by living, trying to find work, and playing in a band in the mid-70s in a place that was considered violent. What is her secret to staying fit enough to perform rock music? etc..
She actually is just so cool: non-judgemental, open, and, insightful. Blows me away every time.
She's still got that smile that melts my heart.
She has a great attitude to age. Why stop doing something you enjoy just because you're older? She's an inspiration.
yes, at 74!
She's old, she's not dead.
Blondie are so special to me ❤ thank you Debbie, Chris, Jimmy, Clem and the rest of you. You made my teenage years livable x

Deborah Harry is so naturally cool. What a legend and trailblazer for women in all music.
