Was not the intention with that but my daughter was being upgraded to this one and this is perfect instead of letting her use one of my much more expensive cameras as she is still learning.

Hello, thanks for this video. I'm doing research as photography is a new hobby for me. Questions: Does the video also capture sound? And this camera is good for both video and still shots, correct?
I just started to play with this camera again this last weekend to work on an updated better video. It does record video and sound with it. I think the quality is pretty decent.
Is any way to turn off auto focus on this camera?
As long as it's better than my iPhone, I'll take it.
I bought it and I like it a lot, definitely more high quality than a phone. And can take high quality pictures at a much greater distance
Does this camera have a good portrait mode? I think I might get into street photography for starters and I am looking for a good budget camera roughly around $200.00 to $250.00 new or good pre-owned.
It does have a decent portrait mode for the price. Depending on what phone you use though you might be able to just use your phone for decent photos.
Can i link it to my computer and make it a facecam?

I do my videos with a Logitech c920s Cam, and as you may know, webcams arent really fullfilling the purpose they are created for, since there is no real use, other than streaming, there is no big evolution in the webcamspace etc. can you do a review on cams for streaming or something?

I am not sure if you can use this for that, I would have to test when I had some free time in the future. Some use their phone as a webcam as well and they work decent.
@@JakeTechReviews I just cant imagine how this should work tho. since a Phone is another Device, more like another tiny pc, not just a cam. so i cant imagine how my PC or OBS should catch my Phone as a "Cam".. Never heard of that tho.

I bought this camera last week. Great camera but it's really difficult trying to take a photo of the moon. Does anyone know what settings I should use?
Hii, you should used the SCN mode, and put "night at hand", then "exposure measure: point", and then zoom in until the moon comes out clear :) I hope it helps

It's a budget camera for all ages, it's still not super cheap but I would rather get and give this to my 10 year old instead of a $1500 Sony.

@@iljoe it should be fine, its fine in my 10 year old daughters hands. The weight is actually pretty light. I just weighed it and its 1.2 lbs. I also just had my 6 year old daughter hold it and tell me what she thought and she said it was light. If you order it from Amazon it can at least be returned if it does not work out for him.
I wanted to ask do you think it works as a webcam? I stream and I’m looking for a better face cam.
It should work as a webcam, I want to test that out soon as I get a chance.

There is a Kodak Pixpro app but I could not get it to work right when I just tried to see if this can be done. I am not sure if its an app issue or camera but it would not remain connected through wifi. One method that could work is using a dongle or reader that will plug into your phone that you can insert the SD card into. I plan to do an updated video on this camera soon but not sure when I will have the extra time yet.

Pixpro remote viewer is the app. Connect the camera to the WiFi and then go on in the app and it's really easy, just press download and you will have them on the phone

can this camera be used for live stream on facebook? would i need a micro hdmi cable for that?
im not sure if it would be able to live stream, I did not test that.

I am very disappointed with this camera. The zoom is extremely finicky. I have taken some beautiful photos but I have also had so many misses opportunities with it because it takes so long to get focused. Forget using the zoom without a tripod, I have had other zoom cameras that needed a tripod for full zoom as well but this camera needs it more often than not even when not in full zoom and even then it's still hard to get a clear focus.

In addition to giving it to your 10 year old who was interested in photography, how about a senior citizen who is anti-tech, anti-smart phone/cum digital camera/multiple lens, who is interested in easy to operate on auto setting and easy to pull out card to retrieve photos with computer transfer, ie. the person who used to buy and use camcorders and point and shoot small digital cameras? Is this the new state of the art for an easy to lug around and pull out for daily life adventure recording of history and people? How about broadening your frame of reference, Jake Tech?
It would work well for seniors and anyone needing something beginner friendly, it is pretty simple to operate.

Astro zoom isn't wrong. I have pics of craters on the moon.
You need to really set it up to be able to not get that blur

Its not, you just need the good settingd + the scene mode is pretty mid to take photos
What about when you need to zoom, Phones are good but unfortunately they are total crap for zooming in, Nothing beats optical zoom, even s24 ultra is only 5x optical, And dont mention digital zoom as that is only cropping the image.

Never said that, camera works great and I still have it and getting ready to do an updated video for it soon. My daughter used it for over a year.
These things sure have junk for batteries.
