Azem's story

Azem is a Macedonian Australian Muslim. At the heart of Azem's story is family, community and iman (faith). He emphasises that one of the core principle of Islam is treating others with kindness and respect, which begins at home with how we treat our own families.
Azem's story is part of the Muslims of Victoria Project- A collective community project funded by Public Record Office of Victoria. This project was led by Dr. Lutfiye Ali on behalf of North Cyprus Turkish Community Centre in partnership with Cyprus Turkish Islamic Community of Victoria and Community, Identity, Displacement and Research Network (CIDRN).
