i just injured myself deadlifting today wish i had seen you’re video beforehand
@Hassan Alim ?
This was awesome and inspiring. Teaches us to keep working and keep grinding. Stay Buff everybody💪
Damm... You look bigger than ever on this video! 💪
How do you guys come up with such amazing content?
"we'll start light and feel it out"

Damn these dudes are strong. I can never lift what they lift
HoKage_888 never say never i used to say the same thing.
@@samkurosaki9151 I'm Asian. I am cursed with the worst genetics 😭😭 but I will always train hard and try to self improve.
@@2hot4u68 Plenty of asians in the olympics weightlifting
@@atdyeam1605 Olympic weight lifting is different than the guys competing in world's strongest man competition.
Im.glad that he is able to lift like this given his bad ankle injury. Those can be tough to come back from
That's relative. I had a really bad elbow break, doctor said I'd never be the same, yet I'm already stronger compared to before my elbow break. Doctor did a good job and should give himself more credit! 😄
I was thinking the same thing
That's what I was thinking about. Was worried for him.
@@WhateverNameIsStillAvailable What'd you do to strengthen your elbow? I didn't have a break but I did have surgery on it and arm doing research on how to strengthen it healthily.
@@nonsensemancer Ice baths or cyro would be best for healing quick and helping inflammation also.
Who else stops what they're doing when a Buff Dudes notification pops up on their phone?
Thanks Jeff we really appreciate hearing that 💪😎
Me! I almost got fired
Jk
Heck ya these guys are great. I think they will have a great time bulking and kind of getting back to what they used to do.
Me. Put that freeway to a screeching halt.
Every time buddy
Very good that you guys put up failed lifts as well. As a powerlifter I fail a lot of lifts, always trying to push harder. Obviously you can program properly and reduce the amount of fails but the nerves can get you and your system may be more tired then you feel. It's a good representation to people to know that failing a lift isn't a massive crisis, it's a necessary part of the journey to be a better you.
I completely agree. Without failing you can't really improve in anything. Of course if you fail a lift that's way out of your league of feasibility and break your back, well that's obviously not the type of failure we are talking about here.
If you fail a lot of lifts you should work on your programming man
@DarkRising47 tell that to any successful powerlifter lmao...you have absolutely zero understanding of programming then. If you’re failing lifts regularly. your programming is bad.
“Requires you to do more than you can so your body is always at the limit” is so unbelievably off. If your body is always at the limit. You’re far from optimal lmao. The maximum recoverable volumes and intensities are not the most optimal. And beyond that (ie “more than you can”) is by definition negatively impacting progress
@DarkRising47 well then that explains why you have no understanding yourself. And he obviously isn’t doing a good job getting feedback and an understanding of your performance if you’re constantly failing lifts....care to name this so called professional?
You should never fail a lift you should have a program and if you follow it you will never fail a lift
Background music:
Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
Black Sabbath - The Wizard
Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain
Judas Priest - Heading Out To The Highway
Danzig - Mother
Solid freaking playlist, boys.
And a fraction of Rainbow - Man on the silver mountain at 3:25
@@SjaakBonestaak great catch, I'll edit.
fuck man you beat me to it :(. xdxd great taste
HOLY CRAP THANK U I HAD TO REMEMBER THE SABBATH SONG!
You know what I enjoy the most about these video's? It the chemistry and "funistry" between these two brothers. They clearly enjoy each others company, and that is not always the case between siblings
I have two daughters at 11 and 9 years old, and they are very good friends. I hope that they remain like that for their whole lives, and watching the Buff Brothers interact with each other gives me hope for the future.

“Yeah grip is an issue”
Straps tho
@@dougieboxell6505 not on the 405
Obviously he felt that it was starting to slip, so yes, his grip was an issue.
@@baconfromhell666 double over handing 405 is pretty solid as far as grip goes
@@stanselraven no matter how much you can take, if your grip is slipping, then it's an issue. I'm not saying his grip is bad and neither is he saying that, im just saying grip was an issue because the bar was starting to slip. Doesn't matter if it slips at 10 pounds or 1000, if it slips then grip is an issue.
Music was really, really on point. Kudos to the DJ.
“I’m gonna go up a little bit”
Adds 300 lbs…
I want to see strict curl and overhead press!
And weighted chin-ups !
Have these guys done strongman training yet?
@@trtdshash1138 Dips too
Ooh. I'm too chicken to test my max on a single joint exercise. I have a elbow that is prone to having issues. OHP is legit tho.
Hell yeah, I came to comment exactly on that! I want to see some OHP!
And the weighted chins and dips are a great idea, too! Also curious about the curls, but the other ones much more, starting with OHP!
405 double overhand deadlifts with Stranglehold playing. That’s pretty good
Tik tok danieljroy that dude built different
Thanks for putting the weight both in lbs and kgs btw! :)
You're welcome
Agreed!
Yep, helps a 1,000kg or 2,204.6lbs 👍🏾
Amazing🤞
@@UCHTT clever
I just compared these numbers with their previous 1RM testing video of 2017 :
Hudson :
- SQ : 13kg improvement : 180kg --> 193kg
- BP : 22kg improvement : 130kg --> 152kg
- DL : 10kg decrease : 235kg --> 225kg
Brandon :
- SQ : 6kg improvement : 200kg --> 206kg
- BP : 12kg improvement : 140kg --> 152kg
- DL : 10kg decrease : 235kg --> 225kg
Lots of respect to you guys, just gotta get back into deadlifting, and then that number will skyrocket as well! ^^
At least you understand the basics. My god. SBD. Two leg movements, back to back? Crazy ness.
I just love how they hype each other up constantly. I mean it must be a tremendous help to know that your bro (literally in this case) has your back at all times.
Just a side note, anybody reading this comment above, don't ever think that if ye can't reach yer goals, yer lack of bro is an acceptable reason. Either ye don't set yer targets bad/inappropriately, or yer willpower and power is weak, I mean, ye arr a weak dipsh...
We just ganna skip over the fact that Hudson deadlifted 495 with no belt 👀
I never use a belt when I'm deadlifting. If you suddenly can't deadlift your max, just because you don't have a belt on, you are doing something wrong.
@@MAGAMAN that’s BS. There is nothing wrong with wearing a belt. If being the arbiter of acceptable lifting is your thing - fine, but don’t go spreading it around.
@The Fallen To be fair, some people have higher confidence in their form. It would be humiliating for Eddie Hall on the world stage to end up with a broken spine, and that's exactly why the organisers of strongman events have safety guidelines. Wearing a belt is purely an option.
@@MAGAMAN that is patently false and that’s coming from someone who never wears a belt either. Please don’t try to advise if you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yea man, the belt doesn’t add much to EVERY lift, but a tight belt keeping your core in check always helps on a pull
The Buff Dudes were one of the first channels I watched when I started lifting, and I have continued since then. I remember seeing the 1rm test back then and thinking wow theyre strong as shit, and now Im stronger than them. Crazy journey, puts things into perspective.
Yeah same I started watching them when I started lifting and now I can lift more than them
Same
They’re one of the best entry level channels for info on lifting and nutrition, but they’re so entertaining that even if you already know the stuff in a video it’s usually still worth watching.
“These are our adult toys” 😂
Black Sabbath during the DL!
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by.
I think the wizard cast a spell on the buff dudes to make them as strong as they are. =)
@@RealRuler2112 the wizard’s gotta watch out for the figure in black lol

Mother too. First few Danzig records are great in the gym 💪

That's pretty Awesome....STAY BUFF!
And this is their first time in a while, def can see them reach 1400+, hopefully they don’t get injured on the way
This great, I like to see how much you guys can max as it motivates me.
Guys y’all always have a fan here with me and the family and it’s good to watch people fail because I always do, but as y’all said it’s a learning point and a goal to work on, as always appreciate your honesty
The best part about this video is that they a clip with Judas Priest playing in the background. Awesome 🤘

Buff Dudes is one of the best channels on RUclips.
Great video! Perfect decision not to add music or fancy editing. It's like being right there with you - watching it feels heavy :-)
Just hit 305 in my sqaut 285 bench and this gives me motivation. Great vidoe
Same bench but my max squat and deadlift without belt 365 , 395
And i feel my body is unbalanced, i wonder how it is for you
Usually the ratio is 3/4/5
So 285 bench , 380 squat , 475 deadlift
@@khalidx1450 well I never really worked out my legs go figure.. 😃 so last year my squat was actually really low . I had a hard time with like 135 yes I know laughable.. I think it was more of a balance thing .. because I never had a sqaut bar ..I still can't get my arms to bend and hold the bar normally I have to put my hands were the weights go .. working on it almost can hold the bar right.. but yes I feel unbalanced I know my legs should be stronger the they are .. dead lift I just started that two months ago .. max on that is 305 for 3 .. well tomorrow I have of from work so I will go for a pb.. and get back
@@khalidx1450 so girl bought me more weight for Xmas. So I have a total of 355 pounds. Just did a deadlift work out and worked up to 355 x 2 ... so my numbers are getting line up little by little .. ever wanna chat of youtube. Hit me up .
u gotta become that guy that benches more than they squat
Awesome video as usualemente!
I was doing the same thing last weekend. Hit a single on DL for 525, unbelted, which was a first for me. You guys actually got me started on deadlifts many years ago. I was a habitual leg day skipper and I fell love with DLs and slowly, slowly built up my strength. Still looking to go higher before I call it a career.
Damn you guys a swole! I haven't been to gym in over a year and I literally wanna cry 😭😭😭
You guys are my hero's and encourage me to strive for more plates :)
Haha the epic music start on that 365 fail made me laugh.

Love the T-Shirts !
Your deadlift strength is incredible
Dang you fellas are gettin BIG!
You are an inspiration.
That "NOOO!" @8:49... I felt that
This is a good, humble, realistic example of strength standards for people. Social media is flooded with videos of 17 year olds hitting 500lv deadlifts for reps and such. These guys have been training for a very long time and are now hitting these weights. If you’re ever feeling weak just remember that you’re not and that most people are not genetic freaks and that these are still huge lifts
To be fair, the lifts displayed in the video are just raw strength. If they specifically trained each lift for a while they would be putting up much higher numbers
Love the wizard playing in the background seems appropriate!!
