I know you probably get messages like this every day but I have to say thank you so much and keep doing what you are doing!! You have changed so many peoples lifes and LITERALLY saved mine. The worst part about failing a max squat is that you have to unload a bunch of the weight to re-rack it. The more weight you were going for, the longer you have to contemplate your failure.
I was thinking the same thing. Oh man that's a lot of plates to pull.

Amazing. I weighed in at 170 pounds after doing a bit of bulking myself so seeing you guys lift more than twice my heaviest weight is surreal. 170 doesnt sound impressive to probably 99% of guys out there but I bulked up from 125 circa 2015 up to 170 recently so I feel pretty proud of that.

I got ill and went from 165 pounds down to 120 I’m now back on my way up again I’m at 135 rn
170 is good weight man! I'm a smaller guy (only 5'3) and I've bulked up to 125 from 100 in the last 2 years, its sucks having to eat a lot all the time, but the strength and mass are going up so it working.

Def something to be proud of! Similar story here. Was about 125lbs, average height, when I started lifting in college. Typically maintain somewhere between 165 and 180 depending on how life is going. Keep it up!

I've been doing your warmup routines for my full body training sesh's. And was able to perfect my squat and deadlift form(current 8 rep max is 155) by watching all of your informational/educational videos. Keep it up buff bro's 💪yeah

Hell yeah. Best friend and I are both 6'1 as well and both just PRed 300LB Bench on Monday. Squats were today and I PRed 315 and he broke at 300. We got deadlifts on Friday. Happy for you guys. Keep crushing it

I suggest a more potent smelling salt for the next squat PR, perhaps Taco Bell washed down with a protein shake, but put a bucket under you before your attempt. Just in case.

Hey Buff Dudes, thanks for doing what you do, I enjoy the videos and motivation! Since you guys are going on a cutting plan next a suggestion for a video is Can the Buff Dudes survive a “Strong by Zumba” workout. It’s a mix of plyometrics, kickboxing and bootcamp exercises where all the moves go along with music. It’s a great workout but definitely tough, it kicks my butt so I’d love to see how you guys do, it might make for some great content!

Try taking up the slack in the bar instead of jerking it as you begin. Get your grip, feet and back right, the lift your chest to take the slack out of the bar. I’ve found that really helps getting the bar to break off the floor.

At the 7:18 attempt ... do you ever feel your back start to give out *before* your hams/quads fail? That's what happens for me ... a doc suggested it could be early degenerative disc disease, but haven't followed up on it since ...

I just got a new PB on deadlifts a few weeks ago, finally cracked 500lbs. Which is weird, because my squat and bench is waaaay less than you guys.
Love the content! Question for you guys: what knee straps are you using at 5:30? I use to be very overweight and, due to this, I have a lot of excess fat/skin near my knees, which causes knee straps/wraps to never fit right. I've been looking for a good pair for a long time. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!
You could have gone squat bench deadlift on that and probably get better results on that squat but awesome job on your bulk and strength gains!!!!

BTW, I did some thinking on the whole "If a tree falls in the woods & nobody's around, does it still make a noise?" question. The answer may surprise you - no, it does not. The reason being that a tree by definition is alive. When a tree is falling, it is no longer alive & more accurately wood. (And yes, I do over-think pretty much everything. ;-) )

Where’s the best place to find a good plan, looking for a new one. I just use barbells, dumbbells and my bench a rack which has a pulley on it. My last was a push pull legs which I’ve liked but means it’s 6 days a week and long ones. Any advice would be great
I know this is an older video. But I want to put my words of wisdom into your ears. One rep max is not necessary. You two are buff! It shows. So what does it matter what a one rep max is? One rep max is not worth the joint injury much less the set back when you tear something up. And trust me, it will always get you at some point. And then you turn 60 and you can’t lift hardly anything except light weight high reps. The ego is just not worth it. Stay Buff my friends!
