The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace P400 R-Dynamic S Is A More Focused Sports SUV

  • The #JaguarFPace was the brand's first-ever SUV when it came to market a little over 5 years ago. Last year, #Jaguar gave the best-selling #FPace a refresh and for 2022, it stays mostly the same, but the #FPaceP400 benefits from a new turbo/supercharged & electrified I-6 cylinder engine that makes nearly 400 HP and gets up to 26 MPG. The interior also gets the new #PiviPro 11.6" touch-screen infotainment system that makes the inside a bit more modern and easier to use.

    Happy Monday everyone! We're starting off our week of videos with the sharper and more efficient new Jaguar F-Pace. How do you feel about JLR's plans to go completely electric in the next few years? This new inline-6 is certainly a nice addition, but we kinda missed the raspy character of the old supercharged V6.

      Sofyan, multi-colored 3 zone ambient lighting is standard on the 2021 F-Pace. The extra option is an advanced ambient lighting package with even more color and named color modes (like Red Moon in Mercedes). The ambient lighting is accessible through the settings. Additionally, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto is now available through OTA update.

    Now that Jag has announced they are going up market in 2024 vs. Porsche on the low end and Bentley on the high end, this is probably the last Jag I'll ever be able to buy new. I will just go all out and get the SVR because by 2025 the cheapest Jag EV will probably be $200K to start.

    The F Pace, in my opinion, is kind of underrated. I feel like it doesn’t get the hype it deserves. Specs are decent. Real world performance isn’t all that bad either.

    • @ChristianRunsNY
      @ChristianRunsNY 2 года назад +3

      My opinion is because it is slow at its base model (like 7 seconds 0-60), you have to pay 15 grand more to get to this performance and then people lean on other popular models with more performance or a lower price.

    You can spec this 400HP trim very nicely for an MSRP in the low $70’s. Just cutting out the performance seats and upgraded interior package alone ( leather dash, etc) will save $5k.
    Also note the exterior dimensions of the F-Pace are somewhere between an X3/X5, Q5/Q7 and Macan/Cayenne which contributes to its large cargo space of 70 cu ft. and makes it feel more like a mid-size SUV versus a compact.

    What is with brands throwing massive fake vents on cars with no foglights. This thing looks so bland.

    Way overpriced for what you get. So many better choices out there. These modern Jags font have the character they used to. Hard pass

    Nice car but grotesquely expensive considering what it still doesn't have at that price.

    It's a crossover, not a SUV. It's built on a car platform. Ordinarily, a SUV is heavier and uses a truck chassis.

    I feel like JAG has lost its way. They are extremely boring. When I was Kid tit was Benz BMW and JAG that would turn heads. Now JAg seems to fade away among so many cars many who are lower ranked car but look way better .

    Very outdated Hybrid system. Nothing "Impressive" here - very disappointing drivetrain. Jaguar signifies performance and they put out this low-performance hybrid when they could have, and should have, designed a 450hp plug-in Hybrid where the electric motor is at least 125hp and able to go up to 30 miles on its own. Missed opportunity for sure. ICE = slow, electric = fast.
