Hi Razorsharpview9090! The system is not designed with building steel blocks for shipbuilding in mind. Main market are larger but geometrical relatively easy structural steel structures like parking garages and warehouses etc.

Great video but doesn't address most of the questions business owners will be considering to adopt the system. - estimated floor area required; - how many staff are required to operate?; - cost, both capital and recurring maintenance/service; - required consumables; - estimated through put; - delivery lead time. I'm sure I could go on. Videos like this are just there for a "taster" of what's possible but if firms like mine are to aspire to get a system like this firms need to be less close (embarrassed) about sharing the difficult information.
I have been a structural ironworker / welder for over 30 years I have probably put together over a million tons of structural steel through my career. In this day and age the way the crafts have been sold out working for shit employers for substandard wages having to compete with absolutely every man woman and child out of Mexico for a job.... I don't get one wet fuck about being replaced by a robot.
I'll admit that's pretty damn impressive.

how are they with down-time and maintenance-time? Do they need to be maintained often? Do they need to be calibrated?
