      Excellent work as usual. I agree with your assessment about Lebron being the most scrutinized all-timer ever. However, part of the heavy criticism by Jordan supporters probably isn't just about the 6-0 vs. 3-5 debate....but rather Lebron not taking full advantage of his Heat tenure or 1st year back in Cleveland. Bird had help...Magic had help...Jordan had help...Shaq and Kobe had help...LBJ eventually got help. When being considered the GOAT...context is the deciding factor. Bottom line....once Jordan had the opportunity to play in championships...his teams won more than LBJ'S did. Star players on teams have always had to bear the burden of accepting the consequences of being the GOAT in a positive way...or negative way. The real question is why are we attempting to change this "player based" way of thinking in attempts to diminish what Jordan has done and ignore LBJ's failures by what matters the most.....wins over stats.

      One thing Dom I will say you must up on is saying Kobe's team put him in position to stay and not leave like Lebron. But there was 4 years his team was absolutely horrible and another 4 years they were rebuilding and that leaves 8 years he went through trash BUT Lebron only didn't have talent in beginning years. Then they surrounded him with really good defensive player like the 01 76ers did to Ai and they did the same thing lost in the finals easily. Still good enough to go to the finals but he needed and kobe didn't have that those eight years. Then of course after that Lebron had 8 years of unbelievable talent. So to some up Kobe's worse team years versus Lebron's worse team years gives Lebron the lead in that category. Now Mj did have help his whole career and had no reason to leave to add to your argument. Just to put icing on cake is that Kobe requested a trade since the organzation didn't do anything. Other then that I liked the rest of your 5

    KD joined a 73 win team that he blew a 3-1 lead in the WCF against. If anybody’s legacy deserves to be judged and criticized its KD for joining 3 all stars and arguably the greatest shooter of all time.

    Logic of LeBron haters:
    Scenario 1) LeBron goes to Miami to win some rings.
    "LeBron sucks. He has to be surrounded by all stars to win a championship. Can't win a ring without help."
    Scenario 2) LeBron stays in Cleveland surrounded by a scrub team.

    "He's not clutch" was a manmade criticism that didn't exists until Skip Bayless put it into people's minds. By then, we already saw him be clutch against the Wizards and the Detroit Pistons when Bayless introduce that narrative. Since then, it has been fuel for Lebron haters and Skip who continues to benefit talking shit about Bron, even though he secretly enjoys him.

    • @BeingWokeTV

      Introduce? LeBron scores 8 points in a finals game lmfaoooo LeBron put that on himself and Skip won’t let him live it down. The series before he left for Miami his owner accused him of quitting on the team. Just because Skip places emphasis on more moments than others “manmade” nah it was pretty factual lol. But Skip be funny just trolling people sometimes but Stephen A says that if Skip says it he actually believes it and you can tell

      A few misconceptions here
      Durant played with Russ and Harden, however Harden was a 6th man he was not Hof caliber
      Clearly the Warriors are way better than anything the Thunder could ever offer not to mention that Steph>Russ, Klay>Harden(when he played for OKC, not the Houston version) and Draymond>Ibaka. Yes Durant was better off then Lebron, and Durant deserves all the hate he gets, however we all know the Thunder weren't winning anything with KD+Russ any time soon

      Ethan Jaeger bro they made it to the conference finals and were up 3-1 before KD choked. They were the better team at the time and LeBron would've made that team something special. They could've worked through a few things and came back next year to the finals but KD would rather piggyback off the already unstoppable Golden State Warriors.

KD hasnt done anything Lebron has done, his first ring came from joining a 70 win team. When Bron joined Miami they were 47 win 5 seed, that OG cavs team was trash it was just him. KD had westbrook, harden, ibaka and a good bench and couldnt win.

      Alexred94 It was SUPPOSED to be 2009 bc they were both the favorites to come out of their respective conferences hands down. Hands down meaning even the League knew it and capitalized on it with a million puppet commercials hyping up the matchup. In 2011 after the Lakers were coming off of a Repeat, they weren't HEAVY favorites to come out of the West. Also Kobe had sustained some injuries and everyone knew his body was breaking down. In '09 LeBron won MVP and Kobe finished 2nd, everything was set up so perfectly. Kobe was already on the decline at that point so that's y 2011 isnt brought up.

For example if KD said he's was chasing the "Ghost of Chicago" people would laugh. (Because of what he did of course). But if LeBron does it; It's a real conversation. But right around the time LeBron came back to Cleveland, I started to realize just how great a player he is. I no longer see him as inferior to Jordan. Hell, I don’t even rank players anymore, I put them in tiers. And that’s because LeBron is GREAT. He’s an equal to Jordan. Period.

      1995 ECF Jordan has two turnovers in final minute of game to give Orlando the win
      Not to mention the multiple times he was swept out of the first round
      Jordan plays for bulls 1993 they win 57 games, doesn’t play 1994 they win 55 games
      LeBron brings teams to finals than when he leaves they get the first pick
      In the 90s the NBA added 6 expansion teams, spreading out talent, watered down NBA
      1996 the NBA had the record for most teams with under 20 wins
      Jordan never had to face zone defenses, illegal defense was beneficial to Jordan’s scoring sucsess. Give Kobe those rules and he will average more points than Jordan.

      (i think kareem is the goat) when you talk about 1994 and the 55 win bulls you gotta realize that that team had little success in the playoffs and got dominated by the knicks without jordan plus jordan lost in the first round to some of the greatest teams of all time like the 80's celtics and bad boy pistons and the most underrated defensive team in the 80's bucks whereas the hardest team lebron had to face in the east was a washed up pistons with no ben wallace also hand checking made it undeniably harder to play iso ball which to some degree negates the lack of zone defense in the 90's also you mention the turnovers in 1995 that jordan got but what about how he averaged 34 points and locked up anyone he had to guard and calling. anyone's era weak is a excuse because you could find ways to make any era weak using bum ass excuses like calling players of the past plumbers and mailmen or calling players of today soft and afraid of contact both are dumb excuses

      Johnny Kilroy No they didn't. The difference is that Paxon and Kerr hit those shots in game 6. Let's assume that Kerr and Paxon MISSED those shots; what would be the result? The Bulls probably lose, hence a game 7. Jordan could still win both those series without those shots. Now let's look at Ray Allen's shot, shall we? If Ray Allen misses, what would be the result? With 4 secs. Remaining it isn't likely that the Heat get ANOTHER offensive board and kick it out to a teammate for 3; so let's assume that the Heat lose that game.... Meaning that the Heat lose the series. Meaning that Lebron would be 1-3 in the Finals at that point. LMAOOO

    The 3-6 argument is legit because it’s his fault that his teams were bad. He picked the players & put them in a system that took them out of their play styles so that he could be the focus. He didn’t make his team better, he actually made damn near every player that came to Cleveland worse. It’s not a coincidence that almost every single player that played with him got worse. I know that’s not 100% his fault, but at the same time, he’s the team leader & he’s an on court coach, so the 3-6 argument is completely legit.

Post game is also dying out now, when back then most bigs had a nice post game. But now, with advances in tech and such, players are better physically. Also, average players now have a much better 3pt shot and because in the nba now, thats what matters. Defense, post game, and mid range shot mattered more back then.

      D Thomas I think what he mean is Lebron is literally the most gifted Athlete we’ve ever seen. He’s Karl Malone but has Jordan speed and Vince Carter Athletic ability. Plus he’s lives in a society where technology allows him to treat his body well unlike any other player!
      Not saying that is isn’t amazing because it is! But we somewhat expected this With technology and his Athletic ability. You say most players but no one has ever been this blessed by GOD.
      Mike was 6’6 217
      Kobe was 6’6 205
      Bird was 6’9 but skinny
      Kareem 7’1 240 and slow
      Back in day either you was big and Slow or small and fast. Lebron is literally a mix of both so of course is decline will come later than those guys! Let me know when he’s 40 & doing this then I will be amazed!

    • @sareaper69
      @sareaper69 6 лет назад

      D Thomas it is impressive to most players that at age 33 he's still playing incredibly, but he's not like most players, right? Most players of his caliber (Kobe, Shaq, Michael, Wilt, Kareem, Tim Duncan) could put up beastly numbers in their early to mid 30s. Ofcourse LeBron is the second greatest player to ever live so what he's doing is a lot more impressive than what even some of those guys were doing in their respective times at a similar age, but it isn't inconceivable. I do remember Wilt putting up some incredible numbers while pushing 35 As Well as Kobe having a vintage season at 34 and even MJ winning an MVP at that age, so let's wait a couple years and see what's up with my boy LeBron.

    • @sareaper69
      @sareaper69 6 лет назад

      Dominique Carroll dude. MJ and Kobe's bodies were perfect for their position. They were both slithery (not so much MJ in his last championship run/wizards) and lethal players who flew by defenders or scored over them. LeBron as a small forward is supposed to be bigger, especially since he came into the league a poor shooter and was such for 6-8 years after entering and needed to be able to finish over people. His body is actually probably more prone to injury just because of how much bigger he is and how hard that is on his knees day in and day out but that's way besides the point. LeBron's body is uniquely fit to last forever (apparently) and is big and strong enough to hold his own against modern NBA athletes. No knock against the other guys you mentioned (besides bird who was too nasty for a nice bod)

    • @dominiquecarroll6921
      @dominiquecarroll6921 6 лет назад +1

      steven palmzie sim There’s a reason why certain guys get called Freaks.. like the Greek Freak, Lebron, Adrain Paterson etc... it’s because they are the exception compare to other players! Mike & Kobe sadly we’re not freaks in terms of size! There were many players built like them (Clade Drexler, Vince Carter, Penny Hardaway). They really never had an advantage bedsides working at their craft & get stronger in the weight room.
      And for your more prone to injury comment. That’s not true either.. its called Body Balance Ratio.. when I guy add too much weight that’s when your more injury prone, or when I guy loses too much weight for his natural size that’s when you become more injury prone.
      Lebron Body Balance Ratio is perfect. He’s like an action figure. Or a created player on a video game.
      & that’s what Kobe Jordan and those others guys I mentioned were never blessed with!

    I get it that some of the criticism that Lebron legacy or LeBron himself receives is unfair, but don't compare him to other all-time great. The real argument is about who's THE greatest of all time and when you're in that convo, everything is magnified. We don't hold some of those criticism against Magic, Bird or Kobe because they're not in that conversation.

    Jordan was being guarded mainly by point guards and unathletic shooting guards. His best competition at his position was Clyde drexler. That's it. Don't say Reggie he was just a good shooter. The skeeeup "he's not clutch argument is an example of chronic goal post moving: Each example anyone gave where he was clutch caused the goal posts to be moved further until it got backed into a corner. FIrst it was "he caves in the final minutes" - when examples of him dominating in the final minutes were shown, then it was "has to be the final seconds" - then that turned into "defensive plays dont count" when he had that run down block in the finals - nowdays its "has to be a walk off shot to win the game" - and now that he has two of those in the same post season, theres no where else to move the "he aint clutch" goal posts to.

  • @bx7306
    @bx7306 6 лет назад +17

    your missing the point of ppl who critique James more than the other top 10 superstars of All Time ( Magic, MJ, Duncan, Bird, Kobe, Shaq, etc..) it's not that he doesn't deserve to have teammates that do their jobs like everyone else teammates have done, but LeBron James has done LESS with the teammates he has had the LUXURY of having in his PRIME on those SuperTeams (2010-2017) than everyone else..promising 7-8 rings & barely winning 2 while Magic, Shaq, kobe, kareem, MJ etc. DOMINATED with their supporting cast & have better results than him..THEY DID WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THOSE SITUATIONS & IF THEY HADN'T THE NARRATIVE SURROUNDING THEIR LEGACIES WOULD BE DIFFERENT..imagine if kobe & shaq won 1 ring together, magic won 1 ring with the 🐐 Kareem, tim duncan only won 1 ring with Robinson etc...there would be a whole lot more A.i. & Charles Barkley like legacies & even less Mt.Rushmore legacies than the 5 we got now..the criticism he receives is fair game

      Junior Barton I like your argument, few problems I have though.
      1. Shaq dominated in the early 00s because the center position was severely lacking in talent. Why do you think the Magic got killed by the Rockets in 95?
      2. Kareem is not the GOAT. I can list some reasons for you, but I'm too lazy so I'll post a link for you to read.
      Nobodytouchesjordan.blogspot.com
      Scroll down and you will come across two sections:
      MJ (and Hakeem) vs Kareem
      Why Hakeem is the GOAT Center

      @bx7306 6 лет назад +1

      as far as i'm concerned kareem & jordan are 1a & 1b when it comes to the GOAT title...i actually edge MJ as the GOAT because of his 11 year body of work where he accumulated 95% of his accolades (trophies, mvps etc.) & 95% of his stats. his wizards seasons were jus icing on the cake but Kareem is only player top 5 in 3 major statistical categories & had the most unstoppable shot known to man with MJs fadeaway at a close 2nd..still MJ>kareem

    Long post here..... I think Lebron gets so much hate because of him and his fans saying he is the goat. Let me say I have live to watch Bird, Magic and Jordan, I have been watching the nba for 35 plus years. When Jordan played he was considered the best of all time not because of his stats but because of how many times he won the championship with the same team, those big in game dunks and last second shots were just the icing on top. If you bring up Bill Russel realize that there were only ten teams in the league when he played so there was not a lot of competition. When Lebron and his fans try to “prove” that he is the goat over Jordan they have to say look at this stat that is better than Jordan’s. When Jordan was in the league no one talked about his stats to say he was better than Bird or Magic, everyone just knew he was the greatest and there was not really a debate. Lebron did not compete in the dunk contest(in which he said he would), Lebron complained about playing so many games and back to backs(Jordan wanted to play even in the summer) Lebron gets mad when people criticize his game.(Jordan just showed them by winning) Honestly Lebron is nothing like Jordan their mentality is completely different. Lebron can pass Jordan in all of these stats because of longevity but if you look at the perspective of a gamer total wins are meaningless but the ratio at which you win means everything. I mean imagine if Jordan played for three more years in Chicago and did not retire, he would probably have 9 rings. (But obviously we will never know) This is the reason why Kobe got so much love is because he was honest and always gave credit to Jordan being the better player. Also I almost never heard Kobe fans say he was better that Jordan. Mostly they say he was the closest we have ever seen. If Lebron and his fans would just admit that Jordan is the goat I promise most of the hate would disappear. Lebron and his fans try so hard to prove that he is the goat it comes off as desperate, when Jordan played my family and relatives HATED him (I am from Utah so they were Stockton and Malone fans) but they would all admit we have never seen someone play like this even though they were rooting for utah. We can say Lebron is the greatest of this post Kobe era and give him respect that way because Kobe did not create a superteam every time he lost and imagine if Jordan went to play with the Celtics or the Pistons he might have won ten or more rings. Lebron is a fun player to watch on the court and one of the best people off the court. If we can be honest about his career I think most of the hate will go away and we can appreciate him in his last few years in the NBA and quit trying to make him better than he really is. If anyone comments please be respectful.

    You know the argument I use to counter the Ray Allen statement about his legacy. Yes, Ray Allen nailed the shot that saved the game, but Lebron did take his shot thinking it would be the last shot. 1. He's criticized for passing the ball rather than taking the shot himself and letting their win or lose be on his head 2. Had he not taken the shot Ray Allen wouldn't have been in position to get the ball in that corner. Don't they call that a...."Kobe assist"

      You're really underrating that Orlando Magic team. Dwight averaged 25 and 13 on 65 FG% and 70 FT% in that series. Rashard Lewis (who was an All-Star that season) had 18 ppg on 49 FG% and 48 3P%. The Magic shot 48% from the field and 40% from 3 that series as a team.
      Lebron did all he could (38 ppg, 8 rpg, 8 apg on 48 FG%) but you're not going to beat a team when they shoot that well and you can't keep up (the Cavs that series shot 45% fom the field and 32% from 3).

      It's a double edged sword. Yes Lebron has had the toughest Finals competition but he's also had the weakest playoff competition.
      Kobe is the exact opposite. His playoff competition was brutal but his Finals competition was a joke. Even Boston in 2010 was a shell of the team they were in 2008.
      And Jordan played some absolutely stiff competition. Remember all those Dream Team members? THOSE were they guys Jordan was competing against every year. Look at all the Hall of Famer the went ringless because of Jordan. Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, John Stockton. Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and Gary Payton could only win rings once Jordan retired. Don't EVER say Jordan didn't face real competition.

Do you know they had to give up 97% of their enriched uranium? 3/4ths of their centerfuges? Do you know they had to allow inspections into their country? Do you know that not only did the UN say that Iran is compliant AND Israel’s former defense minister say they’re compliant but also Trump’s own secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis also said they’re compliant. Were you aware of any of that? Or do you think Trump’s tweets are diplomatic gospel.
