Job is a job, whether it’s Govt or Private, you sell your time and you get paid. Hence this gentleman is sharing a vital experience that rather than “Govt job attraction” also consider your “work life balance”. Based on the avenues today, there is hardly any shortage of jobs. The real shortage is that of skills and hence, pls skill yourself and work where you feel happy. Money alone, or Govt job security alone cannot give happiness. Look for jobs where you have new things to learn, apply, grow and keeping you abreast of new technology so that you don’t find yourself irrelevant as what the previous generation felt with computerisation and the baby-boomer feeling with AI-ML.
Thank you for making this video and sharing what you did not found good in Govt-job and your plan to move ahead and take a job with better work-life balance and growth. Good thing is RailwayRailway’s minister Mr Vaishnav, who himself is an engineer is creating a new environment and making the workforce more easy for new technologies adaptation. Surely, in the coming time, railways shall have better work environment and “ethics” and less people shall leave the service.
Agreed with everything though I think railway’s state is going to deteriorate further as the officials in railways misuse their power to make themselves look like a genius by torturing hardworking, innovative and creative people. For example I had built the antitheft device to prevent thefts at SP/SSP’s of railway I don’t know why next day I got transferred even after receiving the DRM award. In my tenure I was very proactive, used to come up with creative solutions after some time I realised I was digging my own grave. My officers used to torture me by sending to very far places. I was also learning Data Science & Generative AI to upskill myself being so good at computers they never gave me work related to tech instead they wanted me to do field job and in some way or other discouraged me. I left railways I joined an AI startup , they really value my work, I work really hard here to prove myself. Hadn’t insecure railway officials tortured me I would have really developed some good products for railway with my experience and technical expertise,

@@sudeepsaxena8023 He had more than 5 years experience in pvt company before joining railways. He was post graduate too. Applied PR. Got it. Initially worked under somebody in car tyre franchise for one and a half years. Then started his own work.
My one year experience in Railway-
1) posted far away from home, chutti dete nhi hai,
2) officers bohod currupt hai, apni man marzi se karte hai sab
3) transfer manto to direct mana kar denge,
4) basic facilities like Hra milta nhi hai, bohod jhamela karne ke bad Mila... Quarter milta nhi hai, milta vi hai to condition bohod kharap milta hai

One of my relative got Group A job in ralways through UPSC ESE. Worked there for 2 years but fed up of being away from home so he left that job for state government AE post through MPPSC and is happy now being just 30km from his home.

Kuch faltu comment karne se pehle let me tell you I have 5yrs of experience in IT before joining Railways. Even if there was no job security, the salary was unmatched and atleast Saturday Sunday mil jata tha after the pressure of the whole week. Yaha everything is '0'

Earlier government job was enjoying life. No responsibility and no accounting for work. Now government is asking accountability and output which is difficult. People have wrong impression that government job is just fun and guaranteed salary. Now it's end what government is doing is good basically accountability.
What about accountability of big corporates and those who don't pay income taxes despite being rich?

भाई सरकारी बैंकों का हाल और भी बुरा है, मेरा भाई ब्रांच मैनेजर है, सुबह 9 बजे निकलता है और रात साढ़े दस के पहले घर नहीं आ पाता। Auditing जब होती है तब कभी कभी रात का dinner भी नहीं कर पाता। 2nd Saturday और 4th Saturday की छुट्टी दिखावा भर है उन दिनों कभी meeting रख दी जाती है, या लोक अदालत। ऊपर से regional और zonal managers बहुत ही बुरा बर्ताव करते हैं, सो अलग।

One of my friends was into Group D as a trackman. A hell of a job it is. Luckily after 4-5 months, he got job in the armed police department of the state police. He resigned from railway, and joined AP. I had not found (even now, after 6 months of this incident) a single person who had not called him 'chutiya', 'foolish' for leaving the central govt job. He just replied, "why don't you join the railways if you think so high of it?".
Not only him, but there are people as well who are into JE, SSE, Goods Guard, TTE, and even a Deputy Secretary to GM (I won't name the zone for his privacy), shared the same experience. For e.g., the Deputy Secretary to GM, who is my family uncle, earns great salary. But work-life balance just sucks. There's nothing in the name of balance; it's only work. He has everything in his house, from three house helps to most automatic machines to a couple of cars. But when it comes to family time, trips, staying at home for 7-8 hours, it's ZERO.

Learn Python , statistics, EDA & FE, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, CV, Generative AI also you should have idea about Cloud , frontend and API’s. You can follow krish Naik RUclips channel and get a mentor to learn fast. If possible enrol yourself in a course
I'm medically unfit according tp railway job rule , thank god i came to know this in very early age of 22, now I'm in VLSI/electronic field and satisfied a bit and mentally ok

@@birendrakumar5087 I know only about traction it is the technology given by French, a robust system, hard to fail that’s why you see trains running seamlessly changing tracks and at high speed. It’s old system which is still working with least maintenance. We have not done anything afterwards railway is in the hands of wrong people. The officers are corrupt and lack technical as well as business acumen. There have been so many railway incidents because of railway officials and staff expertise. I feel railway is running on RAM BHAROSE though We don’t have any choice I also have to use it but try to avoid it as much as possible.

Bhai IT ya Police mein aur pressure hota hai. Every job is different and has different problem. Doctor bhi bade hospital mein 24 hours busy hote hain.
Government job employees specially the experienced ones has been doing the repeative tasks for like 30 years, and if you do repeatative tasks for a long time then you lack the energy of critical thinking.
Due to which decision-making becomes difficult by government employees

Why bro, is RRB JE job critical? I was planned to crack RRB JE, due to high starting salary. but from response of working JE 's I think it's not like other govt jobs. Actually I am a Electrical Engineer Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Automation, So I decided to become RRB JE or Industrial Automation Engineer, By salary wise & as a govt job RRB JE was my main intention because private jobs has less initial salary. Brother let me tell you, if you are in BRO you are sacrificing a lot by staying away from your family. Not now but later in life when ur kids grow up it would be difficult to stay close to them as they would move to big cities for education and jobs.
RRB JE is tougher than Army/Airforce job as many ex servicemen joined with us they told ,only good thing is you can stay in one division under 200 km.
My advice would be to find a job which is in big city other than RRB JE.

I'm also a railway employee working as a helper in mechanical department.... High workload...no tools no facilities..full of pollution in roh shed ...same as a gas chamber...😢😢
Even though i m not railway employee but my experience with personal department is worst.. From jr clerk to senior officer(APO,CPO,DPO)all are corrupt... They demanded bribe to start pension of my mother... After 5 months of heated argument with them finally they started pension..

Railways should make strict rules for office staffs....
Some clerks who are much junior than us in rank, misbehaves with new joinees.... Even working staffs feel humiliation.... You will have to rush to division For everything by spending our rest or leave... I feel HRMS is useless when you will always have to do anything physically, suppose you need a leave, you apply it online still you have to meet n request your superior personally... Or if you want any change in your SR like adding spouse or anything, you will have to visit division many time ....
Then whats the use of HRMS and HQ office staff...
