I am working as ALP. I am trying hard to change job. I have to work avg 12-15 hrs a day. Then after 16 hrs again go to duty. Sometimes I return home after 50-60 hours. Even after all this railway is not willing to give us at least 40hrs/week rest, rather they give 30 hr weekly rest after 8-9 days. Even after all these if any issue happens , they'll put it over LP and ALP. I never hated any job so much as this railway job.

I worked as SSE,trs,and retired after 38 years ,the rly job is worst ,no promotion ,no OT,bat bat per punishment , ACCEDENT ENQUIRY BY CBI OR CRS MAKE THE STAFF HELPLESS AND NERVOUS ,Only tention ,hi tention,very bad and exploitation by officers,a running chain of exploitation from ministry to lower staff,unsufficient m edical facility,no leave ,no dussehra ,no holi no diwali,always duty,very bad rly quarter, Signal, TRD and p way ,electrical ki job me,,DANGER HI DANGER,BUT RLY IS NO 1 IN ECONOMY, IN CORONA ALL THE TRAIN STOPPED BUT RLY REFUNDED ALL THE TICKETS AND SERVIVE HIMSELF O N ONLY HARD WORKING,AND DISCIPLINE, NOW DAYS RLY SPENDING LOT OF MONEY FOR REBUILDING OF STATIONS,,

Frm bank to private to any sector...India main Work Life Balance woh gehna hai jo Locker main rakha jaata hain.. Jeb main jab paise na ho..zindagi main usse bura kuch nahi... Dont get mentally involved in a job...its a part of life not ur entire life...

Pl do not compare corporate and govt sector because both missions are 180 degree opposite ,corporate is a mechanism for earning note by exploitation ,but govt sector is meant for the walfare of the country

I am retired ssE,pl note ,no OT,for supervisors,as your duty is almost ,24x7,no promotion throuout the,life, this JE,is not explained well about exploitation in railway ,rly is worst for the supervisors ,but best among all govt deptt in economy,this is the reasion ,during corona ,all train service stopped but railway servived on its own,s capacity ,by carrying goods and oxygen in corona,Rly employee always work in danger but all time they are badly exploited,chargesheets punishment,harrasment are normal routine,every one should thinkk hundread time before joining railways,after 2004. There is no pention,most of the running staff are sick medically,in 40,or 45 age group, suffering,sugar,depression, bp,,day by day staff strength ,downing,day by day ,accedent ,CRS enquiry ,CBI enquiry,very painful for supervisor,but public are very happy saying PM.bahut acha kar raha hai
