I hadn't considered how crucial sleep is for success. We often glorify overworking, but this video made me realize that proper rest is essential for peak performance. It's a timely reminder to prioritize my sleep schedule.

      Sleep is so important.
When you first start building a business or striving for an audacious goal, you may have limited sleep and it may take that but once you settle in getting rest is important it stimulates proper brain function and allows you to make sharper decisions .
You also feel great and then focus on getting your exercise, which is also important for your brain and body .

Active listening? Spot on. We're all so busy thinking about what to say next that we forget to actually hear people out. I need to work on that if I want to level up my relationships and career game.

Thank you for your comment. This is a tough one. We learn so much more by listening, and we become much more effective at helping others as a result. It’s really amazing how much more we learn and retain when we do this. We can retain as much as 20-30% more information as a result. Always remember, everyone wants to share their story and be heard, and if you are an active listener, you will gain the respect of your peers and go further.

Goal setting has always been a challenge for me. I just find myself overthinking way too much! Almost to the point of feeling like I'm just failing at even setting goals!

Thanks for your comment! Try the small goals process but keep a few stretch goals or larger goals on the calendar.
Maybe a professional and a personal one.
Sometimes meet ups or mastermind groups can help to keep you accountable and as a support system.
      Many on line available
There are also local meetups on gripes like meetup.com
      Good luck!!

The section on active listening was enlightening. I've always thought of communication primarily in terms of speaking, but it makes sense that understanding others is equally important. This is definitely an area where I need to improve, both professionally and personally.

The connection between daily habits and significant life changes is fascinating. I'm curious to see how incorporating mindfulness and structured goal-setting will affect my own journey. It's encouraging to think that small, consistent efforts can lead to substantial results.

While the advice is solid, some of it seems quite basic for those already on a path to success. Are there more advanced strategies for those looking to take the next step?

    • @chrisdroberts
      @chrisdroberts  4 месяца назад

Thank you for your comment. Yes, you’re right this is basic advice, but if I was to do more in depth, video would probably be a five hour long video. What specific things are trying to achieve to get to the next level?
      Are you starting a business?
Are you trying to get a promotion?
Are you trying to make $1 million?
Are you trying to write a book?
Are you trying to be a public speaker?
There’s so many ways to define success and it’s mostly an individual thing, but I’m happy to give some advice to the best of my ability if you give me a color .

How do you balance financial discipline with enjoying life's pleasures? It's a balance I find challenging to strike.

      @chrisdroberts  3 месяца назад

@@rajanaasperis3667 it’s not easy but most things worth chasing are not easy.
      Start small and build up.
Find away to make extra money like a side gig or a few extra hours of work and put that money away.
You will find when your reserves or savings and investments start to grow you will get excited and want more of it.
The hardest part is starting and building the habit not once you do it gets easier.

While the advice on communication is valuable, it seems to assume a certain level of social comfort. How can these skills be developed by those dealing with social anxiety or extreme introversion?

    • @chrisdroberts

Like anything in life, it takes work and commitment to overcome adversity.
I was a kid in school that was afraid to raise my hand because I always got the answers wrong .
Only to then beyond stages in front of thousands of people being paid to speak .
I did this by reading books and stumbling in front of people many times before I built up my confidence, but I .
There are good communication there, substitute for learning, subject, and speaking about it in group. This is how you overcome social anxiety.

How do you integrate mindfulness into your daily routine, especially during busy periods? I'm finding it challenging to maintain consistency.

A good way for me is a phone reminder a few times per day-something inspirational to get you on the right track. If there is no access to a phone, then taking a break at work can be a good reminder. The key here is to have a few things that shift you into a positive way of thinking. This could be a song, a quote, or a frame of reference like something you are grateful for or an experience that helped you overcome adversity before. If you can start your day this way, even better; but if you are busy, do everything you can to infuse moments of clarity throughout the day. This is especially helpful when you face challenges. Recenter and get back to your good headspace. I regularly have conversations with others about how good things are and how grateful I am to live in a time of such innovation and advancement. I reflect on how difficult things may have been for those who paved the way for all of us, and it inspires me to push harder. Just one example. Hope this helps!
Here is my personal mantra that helps me when I'm facing the biggest challenges:
"I am not a victim of my environment or my circumstances; I am the result of my actions and my attitude. I don't have time for fear in my life because I'm busy achieving my dreams." - Chris Roberts
