I definitely want to see you do a build in this case to see how well all that cable management stuff actually performs when put to use.
Yea I remember Jay use to do builds in all the cases as a review. Most of the time custom loop builds aswell. I miss that Jay...
@@D1craigRob GGF Events did a build in this case
@@D1craigRob I didn't get into most of the TechTube stuff until about a year or so ago, I guess at least that means I have tons of old videos I can watch. I hope he starts doing more builds...he did say he might do one for Phil in this case so hopefully we get to see that.
same i wanna see how it would look to build in it, because i wanna get this case. I really love the look of it.
@@D1craigRob I wana see build with no trash custom loop...
Always props to Phanteks for coming up with stuff that just works well. My first case from them for my first custom build was a P300A and some of my friends still use their P400S.
My first case was the Phanteks Evolve X.
My first case was also the p300a, was decent, but pretty snug fit for internal components
@@TheBlueBunnyKen This is unfortunately the lesson that all SFF will learn the hard way. I always try to warn people who choose SFF because they are "cute" and unintimidating. Ever gamer who chooses a SFF case will eventually revert back to a proper case. SFF is only for office computers.
@Social Justice Warrior the P300A is a midtower case not a sff case
I'm still using an Enthoo pro for a build I made in May 2022. Swapped out the stock fans and replaced them with 2x 140mm front intakes, 3x 120mm top exhausts and a 140mm rear exhaust. It's not the most stylish case, but it's roomy enough for my 3070, ATX motherboard and the four HDDs I've got in there as bulk storage.
That intro was surprisingly relatable. I could feel my son rolling his eyes at me, "it's N7 dad, god!" Leaving me looking at him the same way Jay stared at the camera.
😅 lolololololololol 😆 🤣 😂 Your son is BASED.
I loved that series just started playing the legendary edition
I look forward to creating these moments with my son in a few years.
Funny I know it was N7 the day I saw this announced and Mass Effect was still the first thing that popped into my head
Phanteks is that case maker that is silently killing it each time they release something new.
I have their big P600s and it’s a joy to build in. Looks pretty slick for a monolith too.
@@blze0018 I built in the p500a for my girlfriends sister. Was a treat because everything was so well built and planned out.
I've have the Evolv X mid Tower for years now. One of the most perfect mid Tower in terms of aesthetics, build quality and performance.
Can’t disagree with my P300A
👀
I love it, it's so clean. I've been waiting for a LONG time for case manufacturers to care about back panel cable management and I hope this case starts the trend in commercial cases. I'm still ideally looking for something smaller, as this case is just massive in all dimensions.
Looking forward to the build video for this case. There’s so much room for possibilities
Side note, it does have a built in RBG controller to connect all your fans and motherboard, and then you can control the lighting options for it all from the buttons on top of the case. Great case! I think this will be the case I use for my next build.
Love Phanteks
Don't love brands, praise the designers and engineers if you like
Got the p500a drgb. First Phanteks product. Amazing tbh.
@@glmchn That's pretty much what the OP was doing. They weren't saying they love Phanteks' accounting department.
Phanteks make the best and highest quality cases. Yes I'm a fanboy.
I love my phanteks psu
Phanteks has been rocking it lately, love those fans so much, and really like the layout of this new case.
Gotta say it looks to me like a 30mm fan would absolutely fit in the rear of the case. As the rear door design actually allows the fan to stick out a little . . . give it a try Jay and let me know... I'm interested in this case
The back door is actually removable with no tools. A video on gear seekers nick shows it will lift off f you swing it to just b4 it closes it lifts right off.
30m does fit exactly due to what you said with the door
There is 35mm of space with the door for fans.
Massively happy with my P500A. Phanteks is one of those case manufacturers I check out first when it is time to either build a new PC or drool over the stuff I would like to build.
Same here. I did my first custom loop in the white P500A and it turned out so nice and was relatively easy to build in. Cable management was super easy.
I saw a video on gear seekers and that back door is removable if you almost close it it lifts off the hinges. This thing is cool in many ways
I have the slightly older P400A and it has been great no issues keep everything cool.
That case has a surprising amount of clever engineering. There's lots of little tweaks to the setup that could turn out great.
Please do a build video in it Jay. I'm tempted to buy this one.
The back door is actually removable. Just b4 closing it lifts off the hinges with no toils.
I’ll probably have my Phanteks Evolv X forever, it is by far my favorite case, stunning apple-esque design, brilliant cable management and lighting design, great expandability and build quality.
I had that case in my last PC with a 3080 12gb and ryzen 9 5950x.
I´ve went for a gunmetal grey Evolve-X for my build last year and don´t regret it at all. It´s well build and has sooo much well thought details and brilliant lighting. Only downsides are the limited air flow out of the top and the limited spacing to the door when using the vertical GPU mount with a air cooled card. But I´ve solved this with the Cablemod vertical mount from my previous build to install the EVGA RTX3080Ti FTW3 Ultra.
Just bought one for my next watercooling build. Am excited.
Recheck that 30mm rear exhaust fan fitment again. Looks like it might actually fit with the way the back swing panel is recessed.
That's what I was thinking, why not just close that panel on it, it does look like it fits
My thought as well. Perhaps it fits in the recess, but it hits the fan edge anyway because of the raised part on the door. It all depends on where Phanteks hinged it.
Ok the glass breaking and the cat meow when the fan cover fell killed me. The editing team owes me a new drink. Thanks for all great content guys!
Really fresh case. Would do this over the 7000D for my next build for sure! The new fans look great as well, even better if they do 140mm of it soon!
If you put intake on the bottom and exhaust on the top honestly the side vent you can use it as a theme can put a thin strip of wood paint it whatever and put spiderman legos n stuff even batman, if i ever get that case imma do that
I just got the g500a ARGB from Phanteks, first Phanteks case in years and I love it! It's too bad that there's no 420mm radiator support on this case, I just added one to my rig for my 13700k just to keep it under control.
I'll be damned, there's support on the bottom up to 440m, could probably fit a 420mm with some finagling.
It can *technically* fit a 420mm AIO under the front panel, but it's a royal pain in the ass to wiggle it in there, and you have to put the hoses in the top, so you lose a fan. Source - I tried and failed with an Arctic LF2.
I like Arctic, cooler master, and Phanteks, because they are all very easy to carry out cable management. There’s always plenty of room inside the case for a high end graphics card. And fantastic airflow. There’s a go to brands for me.
All my cases have been Phanteks and I won’t change that. Affordable and high quality
i remember seeing this at ces (i think), they showed that you can take of the bottom fan bracket, turn in 180° and then have it a flat mount instead of that slight angle, making it easier to fit thicker radiators.
I am happy to see more manufacturers are embracing cable-free daisy chaining on the fans. This case is going on my wishlist for sure!
Nice, love the back door to cover and control all the cables.
14:35
looks to me like the 30mm fan would fit because the door has some space, but might be noisy so close
I was going to say the say thing.
Looks like the perfect case. Please do a build with it.
Awesome! This looks like the start of those awesome cases Paul covered at CES. Can't wait to see what Jay does with these awesome looking "differently " fitted new cases!
Jay I'm new to the channel and wanted to say thank you for providing all the insight I needed to complete my build! Please continue to do your thing brother!!!
"I kind of want to build a new rig in this. I think we're going to build in this." - Jay every week
"Okay guys, here's the finished build." - Not Jay
🤣
1:21 I'm glad to see Jay has perfected his french
That's either an awesome case or a nightmare. I'm not sure. I would definitely like to see a build done in that case.
Not a nightmare at all it’s a awesome case
Hey Jay, got an idea 💡
What if you make a test setup with a stationary fan and a piece of light paper or a piece of cloth.
In-between that a bracket where you can place side panels and / or dust filters.
The greater the angle that the flap blows the more flow.
Maybe a great way to visualize and compare it!
This case looks really cool. I'm considering getting another Phanteks case as I currently have a 1st gen P400 case and am building a new PC soon.
Kind of wished you guys would've done a build in this video as you really leave a lot to the imagination only showing / talking about the features although this is done impressively thorough.
The sound edit at 13:32 is amazing.
I just ordered one today in white. I just built a 5950X/3090 system a year and a half ago. I am really tempted to transfer it into this case and redo my custom loop. What a gorgeous case!
Chalk up another great video. I needed a case for my ASUS Blu-Ray drive bay-size CD player and my two-bay size system monitor with a 7-inch screen. PHANTEKS had just what I wanted. It's the ENTHOO PRO PH-ES614PTG_BK02. It allowed me to mount both on the front of my case just below the case-control panel. Sometimes old school is better than new school.
i really like the idea of the rear where all your cable would go hopefully more manufactures pick up on the idea
Is this the first EKWB sponsorship? Haven't seen it on the channel before, so happy to see my favorite watercooling guy get sponsored by EKWB. :D
I got a full tower version from them for my first build ..... im kinda excited even doing the cable management cause of all the potential
Used to love Phanteks but I accidentally spilled some acetone on the plastic window of my old Enthoo Pro case years ago, which sadly damaged the hell out of it. When I contacted them to purchase a replacement they told me they don't ship parts that large to Australia. I don't get it- they'll ship the enormous case in the first place, but the side window panel was "too large". I was then left with a scuffed ass Phanteks case with no way whatsoever to replace the window panel, no matter the money I was willing to spend. I can imagine they're amazing if you live in the USA and can actually replace parts that get damaged, but if you're Australian (or anywhere outside of the US I imagine), better off with something else for peace of mind. Unless of course you're 1000% confident you will never accidentally damage your case.
I got an enthoo pro 2 about 6 months ago and Phanteks is now my fav case maker
loved my P600s for years so glad to see something new and fresh!
I agree on exhaust larger holes on bottom and all exhaust allows more heat out. Jayz way would be to add a LCD screen above the motherboard.
I just finished my NV7 custom loop recently. I'm generally satisfied, especially with the looking and the accessibility during the installation of the radiators.
The only downside is that the cable channel on the back is insufficient to stuff all the cables.---and that's the result with two sets of D30x3 fans, 8 cables less than the conventional ARGB build. And be careful during your wiring. You don't want to rip off the connector and the socket out of the tiny PCB that connects to the MB border LED stripe.
This case is gorgeous. I love my Phanteks P500A and have no real reason to change but I want to build in this case bad.
Build it! Still love my Phanteks 719, but this case checks all the boxes if I wanted a smaller version, they did an amazing job. Also great video exploring the case, very thorough!
I'd love to see a full build in this case. Very nice design!
I had the P400s and now have the Enthoo EvolvX ATX and I love it, all the small things they add in their cases is great.
A stat screen mounted on that top wall area that houses the PSU would be awesome looking!
Just bought mines and on the way already. Can't wait to transfer from 719 to this. Beautiful build.
ekwb is so relevant right now, these air coolers are huge
14:50 I'm pretty sure you could even fit a 30mm fan in the back as the cover has a thick frame
Just built my first ever pc in one of these, had a hell of a time with cable management bc it didn’t feel like it had a lot of room for the thicker cables but it looks stellar
thanks to your channel i learned so much the past few years im on my 2nd pc build everything running great
Omg, it's a rectangular case with tempered glass panels and sharp angles! The sheer *innovation* !
I like the idea of a mesh behind your connectors, but 2cm is way too short to bend your cables...
Phanteks make really excellent cases for water loops and wire management. I'm currently running an Enthoo 719 with a triple and quad rad, it works really well!
ha i just saw their ad for it and LOVED it but definitely needed you to take an in-depth look at it! Thanks Jay!!
I can not wait to see you build in this. After seeing hand on with this case, this is going to be the case i get for my new build and I want to do a full custom loop in it, so i need some ideas on how to run it all lol
As others have said would really love to see a build in this case
I've always loved the look of Phanteks cases, ended up switching from my old Corsair 450D to the Evolv X when I upgraded my build about a year or so ago.
Would love to see you do a build in this one, the images I've seen on it so far look beautiful!
If i ever change from the 011D XL, i think this will be the case, i like the design and ability to actually put radiators everywhere
The case you have is just as good
@@jondonnelly3 true
This is a REALLY cool case. A lot of design work went into this even if they copied some features from other companies. I'm impressed.
Other than a fan controller, it would be really nice if there were blanking plates for the glass attachment points in case you want to run it as an open air case with no glass. Though, they should probably be an option since most people wouldn't want them. Definitely easy to 3D print something.
What great looking case... Even a pure air cooled build would look good... Especially with the daisy chained fans..
Always love being reminded that Phil is a Mass Effect fan!
Please do a build and max out the radiators, maybe do a horizontal distroblock above the mobo where that empty space is? That would be original.
My go to case brand, im more then happy with my evolv x, dont see myself changing it for at least another decade.
After so many years with O11 Dynamic, this is becoming my new favorite case
Can't wait for the mini itx version of this case !
This case looks pretty cool, I also want to see you guys build in it
13:38 you can put your 240 radiator behind there insteaed of inside of the case so it looks hidden and more dope =D
That’s exactly what I did with my AIO GPU, keeps it clean and hidden!
Phanteks is the BEST case brand!! I only use Phanteks for builds and have never been disappointed. They also have great customer support. Or at least for me they have great support.
I have a P600s, and I love the quality of life improvements they build into their designs
Make an awesome watercool build in this Jay!!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease do a water cooled build on this! Water blocks, large distro plates, rigid tubing, the works! It would look incredible!
I recently build in a Thermaltake tower 500 (which I could love to see jay build in) but I had a Phanteks case nafor and it was really good and they have really good customer support
We want to see a build in this case!!! Pleeeease!!!
ECLIPSE P600S here, love it 👍
The Evolve had been my dream case for years and then the evolve x dropped and I had to pick it up, I love Phanteks case and this case looks just as nice!
the 5/7/9 thing probably comes from cars honestly. BMW M2, M3, M4. 5 series, 7 series, etc. Volvo S60/S90. this sort of naming convention works better for computer parts though. cars should have real names like Mustang and Viper and Interceptor and Skyline.
i bought a full size phantek case like 7-8 years ago best upgrade ever, has so much space will never get a midtower again
13:33 The added cat sound effect caught me off-guard and made me laugh so hard, lmao. GG Phil for that little comedic edit.
I've never done a water cooled build, AIOs don't count, but I really like that case and think it would be a lot of fun to build in. Very tempted to do it if I had the money.
Definitely want to see you do a water cooled build in one of these Jay
This case is really nice .. lot of options and space !!
That's a pretty nice in-betweener size for mid-tower and full tower!
I’ve been waiting for this case, and especially some water cooled builds in it. Please please please
You should 100% do a lc cpu and gpu or a full custom loop in this
I'm still using the Phantex Lux 2 (or 719), its gigantic, and I'm using all fan cooling, 9 fans, super clean, super cool, barely collects dust. Been my best case I've used since I started building PC's. Only downside is its gigantic, but I have it on the floor next to my desk.
I dont know what it is but I love case reviews. Thanks for this Jay!
I love that rear 240 mount...perfect for a watercooled AIO GPU.
going to need to see a water cooled build in this please ! !!
I like the pre cut fill and drain ports
please build in this case im so hyped to see how will it turn out, tysm
It would be nice for you to do a edited shoot-as-you-build video in this. I think Phantek is doing something a little different in terms of placements with this case, which is nice to see, but can throw up some unforeseen compatibility issues. See an experienced builder working with this case as they do their build helps to identify if there're hidden pitfalls with respect to the new placements.
I did a build with gen 12 I 9 on an Asus Z690 Tuff board with an Asus 240 AIO top mounted in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case . There was a Cd disk drive installed without removing the two drive cages ( pc is casual use ) plenty of space lots of options . And it is big and heavy . Great case good choice .
Just bought the white one for my new pc build. Can’t wait!!
How about about doing a hard line liquid cooled build? 360 mm in the bottom, a 360 in the top and a Slim 240 rad on the back mounted between the door and mounts, with the fans on the inside of the case? Like a XSPC TX240 Crossflow Ultrathin Rad? So you could go from the 360 mm into the bottom of the 240 mm to the left of the PCIe knockouts and out the top of the 240 into the 360 rad? Would have to cut some hole for fittings/lines to pass through into the back cavity. Maybe go Crossflow on the bottom rad too for cleaner runs to the GPU block. Could look really cool and clean.
14:27 Sorry, maybe the 30mm fan will fit, because the back cover is flat by the outside, but concave by the inside. Perhaps those millimeters that protrude can be taken by the rear cover.
This is so cool and neat. Makes a lot of sense in building an ultimate rig! Thanks, Jay!
The rear panel should have larger mesh holes where the exhaust fan mounts. No need for a filter in the exhaust
