They didn't say glyphs were going any higher than 100 though so it seems that unlike D3 you won't be improving these all the way up to the top pit level.
At around 10:30 you talk about changing difficulties before turning in Whispers. I seem to remember that I tried that once with the old WT system, and it didn't work. After changing the WT, the Whisper progress was separate. Will that change with the new difficulty system? Or maybe I'm hallucinating and that wasn't actually the case, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it in S5.
All I want is to see the devs using different builds at the highest level of play. That shows them if the class works or not. I mean, tweaking numbers and all is cool sure, but some builds just aren’t useful and if they played those builds, they would know to fix that instead of funneling everyone into a few op builds
This is one of the biggest issues the game has right now. Builds/skills/aspects get buffed to OP levels, dominate the season, then get gutted only for a newly buffed build to take it's place... The flip-flopping of class/build balance is really really poor.
I don't think wudi mentioned it but highest rolled aspects will only drop from ancestrals now. Another reason for keep farming ancestrals or barter for aspects.
Unless they reverted it, you can only get scrolls of restoration reliably in the Dark Citadel now. They're also supposedly "world drops", but with an extremely small drop rate, so a needed crafted item is LOCKED for the most part behind forced co-op.

It's not quiet the same as the world bosses, because those bosses are on specific timers and you know people are going to show up. The Citadel on a timer like the world bosses?

Well...my all time favorite class in Diablo is Assassin, so I will settle with this.Martial arts classes with elemental attacks, weapon use and stealth is way to go for me.

okay I have to say I like a lot of those changes. I will def try out spiritborn. I hope I finally get my moneys worth of the 200€ I spent on D4 + Expansion. So far the game couldnt keep me interested enough to play to the actual end-endgame. Heck, I havent even finished renown past level 3 in any area, I have to run around picking up all the waypoints and then do dungeons with aspects I dont even need at all, then simple walk/get stuff/bring back stuff side quests and the best thing of all - look up a map on the internet to see where the stupid statues are and then ride there and click it. wow. very cool. Strongholds okay, but thats not enough points to complete the areas. So its just a farce and annoying to me. The fact the didnt remove it from the game and isntead added this boring "feature" to the expansion as well, is the only big critique I have. Everytime I start a new character at season start, it goes well, then I remember that I have to complete the renown and then I say to myself "yes, this season I will finally complete it and then be done with it". But before this happens, I lose interest in the whole game bc I absolutely feel forced to do the renown to get all paragon points, if it were only some gold and materials for completion, I wouldnt see it as a problem. But this way of progression just doesnt feel fun to me, at least not in D4. I dont know what it is. The game just cant keep me interest. yeah well, if renown and this whole renown progression tree would be completely removed with all the rewards just being added into normal gameplay, natural gameplay progression, it would instantly increase my motivation for the game. So lets see, how long I will be playing the expansion. Its also quite bad for me that it gets released on a Tuesday. So no REAL time to play until Friday. I think they do it, so they can react immediately with hotfixes (so theres not a weekend coming 1 day after release) but still.

Very worrying when the dev said "fun playing together" in the campfire stream. I don't want any raid content to be the main thing in a diablo game, let those stays to wow, and let diablo being enjoyable solo experience.
It certainly isn't a main thing. It is a weekly event with no progression, some cosmetics and a higher chance to get a scroll of retempering. Let people have some multiplayer fun if they wish. Since PvP didn't get fixed as it seems, this is the only multiplayer content that could be enjoyable.

when they tested the guantlet.. there was plenty of feedback on how to shape it in a way that the community would enjoy it.. but Blizz didn't really listen..and decided to prioritize "their philosophy".. so in the end the result wasn't the vision the playerbase wanted.. when Blizz makes changes that players want.. you see good feedback and players playing..
Only thing that we want is the fix spawning Shabbler Boss at Haunted Refuge. Other than that to see how the story goes and waiting for two remaining prime evil return.
On behalf of the entire playerbase I concur. This is the one and the only thing we want. Any bug or balance change, new content or innovation in general doesn't really matter to us.

World bosses would fry the servers, especially if there were 2 LS on screen. Nobody in my group enjoyed it cuz everything was dead. Just wasn't fun that broken. But the power in the palm of my hand was amazing for a couple weeks, I'll give you that. It's not dead, just won't be S tier God killer, light the game on fire and walk away, levels of broken
I don't like how they always nerf all the good builds after the season, all that does is make the new bugged builds become the next top builds. I get why they do it, these builds are most likely just broken due to a bug, The real problem though is that they ALWAYS let broken ass shit go live. Every season had new broken builds and most of the time they also are the builds that are most fun to play. Once they are nerfed they are just down in garbage tier with all the other builds. Often they arent just weaker numbers wise they also don't play as well as they did so they also feel bad to play on top of being weaker. If the ceiling each season is so increadibly high due to broken builds then the "intended" builds being 10-20 times weaker doesn't work. Spiritborn is either gonna be dogwater or have a few broken ass builds that make it pop off.
I hate when RUclipsrs say "you will be able to do this really really fast", so the devs will make the lives of normal players even more miserable by slowing the game even more , if i knew these massive changes were coming i wouldn't have expended a single penny in this game 😢

If you just constantly buff everything to keep everything balanced, you reach power creeps, and the games become too easy. You can’t just look at the strongest thing in the game and then bring everything to that level.
@@ZeZZoooyup ive been playing poe a long long time. I started just before the atlas existed and there was a cyclone build using cold to chaos via reflect conversion. Back then it nuked everything, now it is super weak. Nothing was nerfed, just new enemies that are immune to that mechanic or are much stronger. Its not power creep if everything else is raised alongside keeping the feeling of challenge

This should be offered for free, not only due to its limited content relative to the price, but also as a necessary update to make the base game playable.
@Tripleyou yeah I was glad to see they added some more pit tiers, but my primary concern is that all of this content is just going to become trivial with all these bumps in power now. I'm just hoping the revert to the main stat dmg increase and glyph nerfs will be enough cause in PTR there were players who were face rolling torment 4 with basic non tempered items while running no particular build and 0 paragon points used. All in all I WANT torment 4 to be that chase. I'm just really hoping the changes they made were enough. We will see come next week! 😁
@@codyeivers10 It's hard to conclude correctly before playtesting. We'll see where player power ends up landing a good bit after we get the update. I personally hope we will have the tools to put together builds that eventually overcome pit 150 and my main focus is on how complex it will be to gather those tools. The level of complexity can easily divide the player base, so it's hard to get right.

@@yulfine1688 It is in essence an entire new game. Gear changed, progression changed, new activities, new mechanics, new gameplay loop. Season 5 was just blasting Hordes and Tormented bosses. This will no longer be the case, you will want to level mercs, drop runes, push pits to do those progression systems.

Lighting Spear Sorc is dead. Fractured Winterglass got nerfed by removing conjuration Cooldown. Capped max lightning spears to 12. Thanks Blizzard!!

Pretty sure all the important renown rewards are moving to the first 3 tiers too starting with the expansion

If you haven't done it now, you'll definitely not going to do it in VoH, there's a 6th region to do and the grind is way slower up to max at least.
what are the limitations on a season for playing without the dlc?
20% of the map looks like… And 80% of the content.

@@rajko7394 I did read the patch. I mean even at 3 lightning spears floating around, I was nuking things rooms away. Tormented bosses died instantly. World bosses would fry the servers, especially if there were 2 LS on screen. Nobody in my group enjoyed it cuz everything was dead. Just wasn't fun that broken. But the power in the palm of my hand was amazing for a couple weeks, I'll give you that. It's not dead, just won't be S tier God killer, light the game on fire and walk away, levels of broken
I don't like how they always nerf all the good builds after the season, all that does is make the new bugged builds become the next top builds. I get why they do it, these builds are most likely just broken due to a bug, The real problem though is that they ALWAYS let broken ass shit go live. Every season had new broken builds and most of the time they also are the builds that are most fun to play. Once they are nerfed they are just down in garbage tier with all the other builds. Often they arent just weaker numbers wise they also don't play as well as they did so they also feel bad to play on top of being weaker.
If the ceiling each season is so increadibly high due to broken builds then the "intended" builds being 10-20 times weaker doesn't work.
Spiritborn is either gonna be dogwater or have a few broken ass builds that make it pop off.
Not even one waifu mercenary. Easy pass.
I hate when RUclipsrs say "you will be able to do this really really fast", so the devs will make the lives of normal players even more miserable by slowing the game even more , if i knew these massive changes were coming i wouldn't have expended a single penny in this game 😢
I really hope all is as nerfed as they say. I would make it even harder. Its absurd we were seeing numbers bigger than before after the stat squish, i heard even rumors about infinity symbol appearing instead of damage.

Does stuff needs to be nerfed so much? It's not like game has amazing pvp you need "balance" around..
If you just constantly buff everything to keep everything balanced, you reach power creeps, and the games become too easy. You can’t just look at the strongest thing in the game and then bring everything to that level.

@@ZeZZoooyup ive been playing poe a long long time. I started just before the atlas existed and there was a cyclone build using cold to chaos via reflect conversion. Back then it nuked everything, now it is super weak. Nothing was nerfed, just new enemies that are immune to that mechanic or are much stronger. Its not power creep if everything else is raised alongside keeping the feeling of challenge
@@Psywearebabylon Would you mind explaining how the build worked? None of the things you said made any sense, at least to a poe player with general knowledge. Reflect conversion? Immunity Monsters? Those are not normal poe mechanics.

enlightenment is exactly the same as it was on the PTR.
This should be offered for free, not only due to its limited content relative to the price, but also as a necessary update to make the base game playable.
Lol the key word is it's *supposed* to be difficult to get to Torment 4. I 100% expect players to hit Torment 4 within 24 hours
Even if they do they got 150 pit tiers to tackle afterwards. I wouldn't worry about lacking aspiration goals personally

@Tripleyou yeah I was glad to see they added some more pit tiers, but my primary concern is that all of this content is just going to become trivial with all these bumps in power now. I'm just hoping the revert to the main stat dmg increase and glyph nerfs will be enough cause in PTR there were players who were face rolling torment 4 with basic non tempered items while running no particular build and 0 paragon points used.
All in all I WANT torment 4 to be that chase. I'm just really hoping the changes they made were enough. We will see come next week! 😁

@@codyeivers10 It's hard to conclude correctly before playtesting. We'll see where player power ends up landing a good bit after we get the update.
I personally hope we will have the tools to put together builds that eventually overcome pit 150 and my main focus is on how complex it will be to gather those tools. The level of complexity can easily divide the player base, so it's hard to get right.
I want a fanaticism paladin type zeal build with phoenix or the armor ignoring light saber (forget the name). or Fist of Heavens paladin.

@@martynas5757 nothing surprises people anymore, they except an entire new game from an expansion.. that's not what an expansion is and actually in this case is almost like a new game with how much is changing and being added.
People cry about the price is even funnier d2 lod launched back in 2004 for 40$ if i recall.
@@yulfine1688 It is in essence an entire new game. Gear changed, progression changed, new activities, new mechanics, new gameplay loop.
Season 5 was just blasting Hordes and Tormented bosses. This will no longer be the case, you will want to level mercs, drop runes, push pits to do those progression systems.
