      I was up yesterday to Adams spot and the water was the highest I've ever seen it, almost couldn't work! Im getting sick of the high water real quick lol!

      I can't agree more, tired of finding flood gold. I'm going to check out my claim this weekend, I have a feeling I won't get very far because of high water!!!!

    What a great day on the river. I use clear plastic air line to clean out cracks. Add water into the crack and siphon just like a straw. Just don't drink the river water or the material. I have a piece of air line about 4 feet long.

    you ever think of a canvas bucket (no metal rigs) rolls up fits in the pack nice light you just fill the bucket and go back to the pan holds a couple pounds of dirt that you can do several pans mine was $9 on amazon they're water buckets but you can put all kinds of things in them I saw the picture of tools in it really well made just a thought even feed the sluice box

    I don't have experience on this but I do see gold Rush and other shows and they ALL say the same thing gold is heavier and as time passes by it just gets deeper and deeper,hey try it you might be surprised you might gain a little more specially around black sand

    Have you ever played around in the San Gabriel River looking for gold I was there a few months ago not to look for gold just to hike and fish met some interesting people one guy showed me his stash the biggest piece was a size up sunflower seed that's the same shape about the same height bus 7 grams very impressive are there any has a lot of small gold too but I'll Pickers it was very impressive them guys are crazy

    I just have a question doesn't sand get lighter with water,saying that when your digging for gold up on the rocks doesn't sand get lighter and gold heavier should you dig minimum 1/2 ft to 1ft down to see what's really in the sand??well better luck next time.god bless.

      Your not thinking old enough, Millions of years ago when the gold was deposited here, it may have been the bottom of the river or closer. the mountains are always pushing up over years so the bottom ends up higher up the bank.

      If you ever get a chance to make the to Washington, make a trip over Stevens pass. From Everett to Wenatchee. It's a trip you'll never forget. From city to cow town all the way to Leavenworth which is a barvarian town. Then drop into the Wenatchee / Cashmere Valley.

      Howdy Mark, Id say whatever feels the best and doesn't dig into your leg with the strap. I don't use them often though I should, I think Todd used Dewalt brand.
