Ahhh, finally.I've been refreshing RUclips waiting for another gold video! Thank god you've come through with the goods! Bless you all! (Oh, and first!)
I always like to see gold. I start to quiver and wish I was about 40 years younger. That way I could be right there with you getting my own !!! You just don’t know how badly I would love to find a nugget of gold ! You guys are the best. Be careful out there and MAY YOU COME HOME WITH POCKETS OF NUGGETS !!!!😌😍
Great video good to see you guys out there at the beautiful River I went to Adams old spot last weekend and got some nice pieces to and a lot of flood gold
I wonder if up by that little waterfall there was more gold dropping. The place where you had the hooka was pretty wide area. It looked narrower where water water falling into the pool. Try there next time.
Thanks Della, think of the narrow spot like your finger on a hose, the pressure in the narrows blows material out and it settles in the fanned out area after the narrows usually. We found good gold on the shore there, this is why we chose this area, but you never know, gold if funny sometimes..
Extremely hard work without a weight belt in deep water. It's probably been sniped many times before. Stay light cover a lot of ground till you find a place. You're on the right path to finding nuggets.
NICE video! I am certain it would be a real drag to hike in enough lead, then hike it out. Maybe custom up some kind of thrift store backpack you could put 40-50 pounds of rocks in? Get you planted on the cracks, get some power in those whacks!
Are u able to use some of that air for a blowing device?..I had a friend he was on the American river. He and his crew where using air and blowing off all the overburden forcing it downstream working up. then they sluiced the bottom he had a clear palmsize bag of gold... But might be useful for sniping.
You need a divers weight belt. My partner and me were using @40 lbs of lead in a small stream. For the river your in prob. Need at least 50 if not 60lbs.
You make some good vids. I'm enjoying them. I know it's late but I wanted to mention something I saw in this vid. The little jacket like thing you were wearing over your wet suit was holding a big bubble over your back. I'm pretty sure you sorted that out, but maybe not. Anyway keep up the good work.
Fantastic video, thanks. A couple of questions: Is that bear (or other potentially dangerous animal) country? If so, do you have any concerns about being out in the stream basically defenseless if a bear confronted you?
There was a while town sitting across the river from us at one time, I'm sure they were looked at.. it's easy to pick apart something when you don't know what's what..
slim pikns , to bad some deep hole full of gold wasnt available , a weight belt surely needed. and i know that more weight to bring and haul out. maybe some empty containers that you can fill with sand like they do with lifting weights.
I’ve tried reaching out to every agency out there and they give one or two answers..they all over lap each other with their own rules but don’t have an answer.
You know why you were still floating with all that weight on you Jerry is because you are full of HOT AIR....lol JK Bro! That was a cool adventure, looking at the area I really would have thought you would have got a lot more gold to. You just never know where your going to find it. What is the hooka you were talking about, I’m not familiar with that and have not heard anyone say anything about it on the other channels I watch? Thanks for sharing, keep up the great job👍
This guy at 5:50 in is like damn man I spent hundreds or thousands on this gear cameras hoses stubs diving equipment generators the gas to drive the car the goggles and maybe some good googles to realize huh.

If you found a lot of gold and put it in your pouch, it would hold you down much better than rocks.................................................Thanks Captain Obvious!
So you forgot that you needed a belt of lead you guys are rather kind of humorous you both carry down a gas powered air compresser now a nice 6" triple sluice dredge or a bazooka they use those mainly for over burden.
Thanks guys, beautiful day, area, river and gold!
✌️
Great video. There is nothing like enjoying the outdoors with a friend and finding that beautiful gold.
Envy dosent even begain to discribe the emotions watching your show, jerry your living the dream..you see that crawlfish trying to guard the gold.

How much weight would be ideal to stay down in the water?

Just bypass the low oil cutoff. Super easy... never have that problem again
Great info!
Love your vlogs keep it up
Just imagine if we could legally dredge...... we all gotta do the liberty march with AMRA! Starts in oakhurst in fall
A dredge would turn that fun spot into a good payday.
Very good keep up the good work man👍👍

Another great video Jerry ✅

Where did you get the sucker tube you have at 2:50? I don't think I ever saw one before.
Yeah, Brother, That's what I was talking about, Hooka! On the right track, some shiny for ya, next time bro, you'll do even better. LBPA4Life!

I have one Terry just didn't want to carry it down there this time but will in the future!
Question.....if you’re separating the rocks under water, won’t the gold wash away in the current?
It all depends on how big the gold is and how much current, but generally no because the gold is so heavy it sticks to the bedrock.
Dude I want in..... the water haha looks like a blast!
Fun stuff , ya were gearin up to try our hooka one of theses days ! Need to get a few fittins lol! Well killer vid as always catch ya next one
Congrats that's not bad n for the time u were there that alot I think.god bless

HAHA yeah that was Erick I noticed all his exhaled air doing that as well good catch!
Thank you for posting. just curious, do you have to have a license for digging gold?
Don't need a license to prospect for gold in California at this time.
Now that or a floating dredge is the way I'd like to mine. Ever run across any big trout Jerry?
Fantastic video, thanks.
A couple of questions: Is that bear (or other potentially dangerous animal) country? If so, do you have any concerns about being out in the stream basically defenseless if a bear confronted you?
Yes it is bear and mountain lion country and it worries me a lot!
I didn't know it was legal to use a hooka in Cali. If so I'M ON MY WAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
At 7:10 fill your bag with gold!
Should take samples of those quartz veins and have them analyzed
There was a while town sitting across the river from us at one time, I'm sure they were looked at.. it's easy to pick apart something when you don't know what's what..
Where is the location? N. Cal?
NorCal
i like your great local videos , i like that hookah, where do you get one ?
I've been diving for 40 years and I well know the disappointment arriving at your destination and finding out you forgot your damn weight belt.
I swear that's Kevin Costner's voice!!
Thanks Paul!
Thanks for sharing. is mostly hard work….. and fun. We have our playgrund? Greetings Goldjunge Tom

What’s the Hoka rule? Does it have to be a certain feet away from the water? Cool video!
I’ve tried reaching out to every agency out there and they give one or two answers..they all over lap each other with their own rules but don’t have an answer.
Is that the Smith river?? Hmm?
You know why you were still floating with all that weight on you Jerry is because you are full of HOT AIR....lol JK Bro!

the gold was up at the waterfall
Break the dam and let some water out
This guy at 5:50 in is like damn man I spent hundreds or thousands on this gear cameras hoses stubs diving equipment generators the gas to drive the car the goggles and maybe some good googles to realize huh.
That's prospecting wrapped up in a nut shell, but honestly this gear was used many more times than this one day so it was worth it!
@@californiamotherlodeprospect and that lady’s and gentlemen is why it’s good to be the thing that makes us human beings so persistent. Never giver give up if you have a dream go get it. This is America
The fanny pack would weight twice as much if you filled it with small stones and sand instead of large rocks. fyi
that big oblong rock needs winching a few feet too the side ) gl hh
YES this is where the gold was!
I've got that type of hookah rig is it legal to use it in Cali?
Its not a dredge, it does not process material and is not mining gear its hookah diving gear and hookah diving is legal.
Were you at wut body of water
One of the yuba rivers
I was # 699 on the likes you know what that means ?
It means a good time with a 4:20 after ! Right ◇
If you don't find gold deep move up.
If you found a lot of gold and put it in your pouch, it would hold you down much better than rocks.................................................Thanks Captain Obvious!
Great info Jim, thanks!

What did you use to run the hooka? Could you have put it on an innertube?
Yes joe its a small Keene unit, I could see it on an inner tube with some simple fab work yes!
So you forgot that you needed a belt of lead you guys are rather kind of humorous you both carry down a gas powered air compresser now a nice 6" triple sluice dredge or a bazooka they use those mainly for over burden.
N.G. ?
HAHA yes sir!
lots of eyes in that area....be careful and stick it to the man!
