Hi.A little tip. When you are getting down to the back washing.Hold your pan a hair off level.By tapping hard and fast, the black sand will move towards the center of the pan and the gold will stay at the outside.Takes some playing but once you see it working will save you hours of cleanup.Luck Mcbain.

Gotta be a long term solution to fighting the current coming and going? Beginning of season drive an anchor stake above the section you wanna work then swing into your work area and same setup for the float back to shore? I know, I know, if you wanna find an easier way to do something give the task to a lazy person cause they will definitely figure it out 😆
Good for you, I'm glad you boys are doing well. I need to find some of that.

Hi ,if you were to put the gold and the black sand into a crucibul ,and melt it you add some flux, you will be able to remove the slag, and you will be left with 99.9 GOLD,
no moor wishe washe around, moor time to dig.
Evelyn Woodcock NVR
No. You would get rid of the black sand. But you would make the gold less pure by melting any lead and other metals into the gold button.
hmmm magnetite?? should a person save that stuff too ?? it might have a valuable market . what is the value of that commodity??
Wow this is AMAZING finds where is this river, and do you need a helper
Use your magnet UNDER the PAN to separate the black sand and repeat your process.
Seeing his water bottle with gold got me thinking it might be worth picking up water bottles on the river. If he would have dropped that it would be gone. Could you imagine finding a few small nuggets in a discarded water bottle?
Rest In Peace man hope wherever you are your picking inch nuggets like crazy thank you for this knowledge
