One of my favorite places is Down town. Regardless of all the homeless and trash/piss spots there is a lot to do and it makes me feel alive. Great food, nice lighting, pretty tall buildings and it keeps growing today. I don't really like other parts of San Antonio, I'd like to move up north.
At the light where you're stopping at Drexel. To the right, that building with the black tile and red front. That used to be a Sommers Drug Store. Like 50s, to maybe even early 70s. Sure was a wonderful part of the world back then. When McCreless was built we felt like we were the center of the Universe. So many great memories!!
I have a question. If the city wanted to demolish all the old buildings, houses, and to make the streets nicer. Would you be ok with that. Because that’s one thing I would fix if I were rich
I grew up on the streets this is an old area of town not necessarily a rough area. I lived off of East Southcross Boulevard couple years ago if you don't mess with the bad it don't mess with you. For me I was afraid does north of this area kids when you cross Highway 90. The total area of South and Southeast of downtown was my stomping grounds Brock Wheatley High School class of 1981
They cleaned up allot of how the stuff looks but not the shit that's here we still gotta hella gang shit going on and hella people still dying robbing and shit
