Agree, but young women do this for attention from very specific guys. They ignore all other guys, that's the irony. This example in the show is very similar to a lot of girls i remember back in school. They'd straight-up ignore the regular guys who wanted to hang out with them, or who treated them sweet etc, but would obsess over that 1 aloof, attractive fuckboy who never even said so much as a "hey" to her. They literally spent years of their school lives trying to get attention from these guys, or even just doing sexual things they werent really comfortable with just because they "thought it would make him happy" and perhaps give a chance at a relationship. Sad, but young women bring it upon themselves.

Euphoria is about every character and how they see the world, there wants desires, something as mundane as being noticed by a guy you like was Cassie’s high or “euphoria” which is super sad 😭 rue is obviously drugs, Maddie is fighting in season two she talks about how “she loves a good cat fight” Nate’s is also fighting, being overtly masculine is is high or euphoria, cats is attention and wanting to feel seen and noticed (similar to Cassie’s) Jules in season 1 was her getting high from being seen as hyper feminine, (but later on in season 2 she changes and now presents androgynous). Every time these characters get there “Highs” and feels euphoric from having been fulfilled it, the song at 1:33 plays. Amazing writing amazing representation of how not only drugs can get you high and give you a feeling of euphoria but anything, money, sex materialistic items, fame, being seen.
Poor girl has no idea how much of her life she’s loosing because of Nate. Girls word of advice: Rather you have daddy issues, think your hopelessly in love, or just plain lonely your life and energy is not worth waiting on someone who isn’t intrusive or worse uses you because you let them, and watch out for the Pygmalion’s, ones who will sculpt you into They’re ideal woman. Cassie on the first day was doing her beauty routine very calmly and gracefully, and as the days went by seeing that Nate didn't notice her, she starts to despair and do everything to looking pretty for him, then she starts to be more aggressive, everything seems so grotesque, this shows what dependence, desire for attention, and other feelings do to us.
There’s so many things I can add to this routine😆 When I’m planning to go out for an occasion, I start getting ready for it the night BEFORE, just before bed😁 If I had a daily regimen, it most definitely would not start at 4am every day, I need my sleep!😂

I’m 24 now so it was a long time ago. Ever since I became a mother I put a lot less effort into my appearance but this just oddly motivated me to get up a bit earlier and try. 😂😂 Ohh the nostalgia
My bus came at 6:00 so I had to wake up at 5:00 and the only reason I woke up at 4:00 was to do my hair (which takes forever) or to finish a movie I’m not able to watch at school.
Hm, I could see myself maybe getting up half an hour earlier than usual and already deciding what to wear the evening before. I think I'll try that :)
On work days, I've been a bit lazy with it and was always doing everything last minute, because I just love my sleep too much, but maybe I could benefit from getting up at least a quarter or half an hour earlier than usual, so I have more time for everything.

What makes this scene awesome is that every teenage girl and woman has/will have gone through this infatuation stage at least once in their lifetime. The butterflies feel so good until you take off the rose-tinted glasses and realize it’s just anxiety and unrequited love, and in this case even abuse.

Cassie on the first day was doing her beauty routine very calmly and gracefully, and as the days went by seeing that Nate didn't notice her, she starts to despair and do everything to looking pretty for him, then she starts to be more aggressive, everything seems so grotesque, this shows what dependence, desire for attention, and other feelings do to us.
There’s so many things I can add to this routine😆 When I’m planning to go out for an occasion, I start getting ready for it the night BEFORE, just before bed😁 If I had a daily regimen, it most definitely would not start at 4am every day, I need my sleep!😂
