Since finishing this playthrough, I started over on Xbox and got all the achievements in roughly 2 playthroughs. What an absolutely amazing game!

Cheesing/Skipping Demon of Hatred is part of the Sekiro experience
Its a great game minus that fight lol
@@vizioax2Demon of Hatred fight is great, it's just entirely different from the rest of Sekiro's fights.
@@bingo5387yes for dark souls boss fine. In my sekirio game no thanks gravity gets him every time.
@@vizioax2 It's not really hard to beat it legitimately once you know what to do. Just constantly run in a circle a good distance away from him to force certain attack animations, run in and get few hits after, back off and repeat. Took maybe 1 or 2 tries doing this on all my new game+ playthroughs.
@bingo5387 that's called cheesing a boss fight.
Hey Ray! If you ever decide to perfect the game on xbox or go for a different ending, us frogs would love to watch it!
Maybe he can do a cheeky achievement guide for us 🤣
He's done, finished off stream
The Demon of Hatred took me 3 days to beat… it took almost 50 hours…. HELL YEAH RAY WOO!!!!!
I thought 4hrs was bad... Tbf I did spend 20hrs before even getting to Ogre. Well.. respect because 50 hrs is insane
Something I really appreciate about Sekiro is the sculpture placement. They're never too far from challenging fights. So the walks are usually quick and not enemy heavy. Very good quality of life
In my opinion Sekiro is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Long enough to feel like a journey, short enough to be easily replay able, every boss feels like it’s own song in a rhythm game, and it’s got an excellent aesthetic too.
47:30 Ray read my comment from the last video. I’m truly blessed 🐟
The conclusion of one of the greatest games ever made with one of the best sword combat systems ever made. The final boss is the cherry on top. He's absolutely phenomenal. The game's like "You remember everything you've learned? You better because you're gonna fuckin' need it." Personally, I over the Demon fight, but I feel like I'm in the minority.
The leadup to dueling with him was flawless storyboarding; to the opening narration of how Isshin’s unrivaled swordsmanship claimed Ashina & deterred the Ministry from invading in full force all the way to his death & rebirth just for you to square off with the legend.
Plus Isshin serving as a helpful side character, shaping Wolf’s mentality towards the severity of fighting to the death, as if he lowkey wished to have a scrap with him while in better health. Isshin may not have planned to be revived in prime form via Black Mortal Blade, but he definitely got his wish granted bc of it #AbsoluteCinema
Demon of Hatred cliff we LOVE TO SEE IT CHAT
CHEATING IS BASED
(I'm glad Ray enjoyed this FromSoft title, would like to see a DS3 playthrough (: )
he did say it could be a sub goal that or bloodbourne
Yknow I'm not a fromsoft guy but i gotta hand it to them, making it so that ray still gets the Silent Hill car crash ending somehow makes this a 10/10 because I can't imagine ray getting anything but the worst ending in any game
I didn’t know Owl (Father) and the juzuo repeat were locked behind doing the serpent viscera stuff, that’s really unfortunate. I wanted to see Ray get his ass handed to him by younger Owl.
They aren't. The second estate memory requires the eavesdrop on Kuro in his room when he's standing next to the incense burner by hugging the wall near the statue behind him. You then have to hear the "do what must be done" and then rest to get Emma upstairs and talk to her about an alternate path and then get her to the Old Grave and then to the Temple where you eavesdrop on her while she talks to the Sculptor so you can ask her what's shes hiding to get the charm. This is the purification ending.
The serpents are a part of the Divine Childs quest and is for the Dragon's Return ending.
While not necessarily locked until slaying the Divine Dragon, Ray didnt really have a need to listen to more unnecessary yapping from Kuro, Emma, or Divine Child to pursue those routes (although if the prerequisites weren’t locked by the Divine Dragon’s defeat, he probably woulda stumbled upon it)
I didn't use the umbrella throughout my whole playthrough except for Demon of Hatred.
If you think of Armored Core 6 as what Fromsoft think a mech game should be like, you might give it a look. Fast paced action, lots of explosions, incredibly cliche characters taking every line seriously.
Ray has stated he's not interested in AC6, he's never really been a mecha guy
Watching you play this had me go back Sekiro. I am now working on getting the platinum. Just need a total of 15 skill points to get the last trophy!
3:45:53 That call out was hilarious. Just the realization of having to do this over and over to get to the real fight could be heard in Ray's voice.
Didn't think we'd get to see DoH, I'm pleasantly surprised.
Glad you found a souls-like you enjoyed Ray!
As someone who also avoided Sekiro for 3 years because I thought I would hate the game; It warms my heart to see that Ray loved it. It's now easily my favorite of the modern Fromsoft games and such a blast to play. Here's hoping for more of these playthroughs in the future!
Well, this series has given me the motivation to go back and 100% the game.
Isshin was one hell of journey for me. Defeating him the first time took 4 hours. In Ng+ it took still 1 hour. And in NG++ I got him first try.
Your death count is fine Ray, I'm probably going to rack up that many deaths on just the final boss of the Elden Ring DLC alone.
The underwater headless actually don’t require the petals and will take normal damage.
Loved to see ya enjoy Sekiro! With the other games in the series Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are 10's in my book. Even if you don't continue after this with the other games, I'm glad ya enjoyed at least one of em
How insanely close Ray accidentally got to the Return ending is wild to me
Also, this was a really fun watch. Would love to see him go through any other SoulsBourne games
I hate to see Ray struggle but i love to watch him triumph.
Isshin Sword Saint is my favourite boss of all time. Even just watching this I still know each move he does
1:19:50 "There is nothing over here" (literally standing right next to the objective/important thing...we've all been there)
Seeing you love this game enough to play on Xbox (aka plan to get the achievements) brings me joy because I know the SoulsBorne genre isn't really your style. I was hoping this game was different enough for you and apparently it is. Isshin is one of my favorite (if not all time favorite) boss fights of all time.
Oh yeah! I'm excited to see the final part of this playthrough!
I hope ray eventually comes back and does a randomizer. That would be hella fun
Yeah I totally respect doing the Demon skip. Shit is rough, even with the phoenix shield that blocks all the fire damage easier, shit is super hard
Glock Saint is my favourite boss in any game. It's just so perfect
Ray: *mentions Scotty 2 Hotty*
Me: *literally just watching before this his WWE vod where Scotty started the Royal Rumble* ….huh
Hey Ray, you uploaded this days ago and I know it was just a quick joke at the end but you joked about playing The Surge and wanted to say The Surge 2 unironically slaps
Is it just me, or did Ray have everything he needed for the return ending and just barely missed it?
I think he missed dialogue triggers to go back to hirata V2 and "learn" what he needed to
POG!
I beat every boss in sekiro. That being said I sent that demon off the edge. Fuck fighting that one lol
I would love to see Ray play this as new game plus and get the other endings or even go back and redo bosses/ finish the bosses he missed.
If he was to do another souls game, I would love to see him Do Code Vein (Or Stellar blade for shits and giggles).
love the playthrough, now that you’ve beaten the game you should check out the blindfolded run of the game they did at GDQ a few years ago
The cheese is the best part
Charlie assist!
Im not sure why ray has so much trouble with the sweep counter. I remember it being very consistent for me but maybe Im remembering wrong
I bet Ray would enjoy Ghost of Tsushima
He doesn't do a poke 😂
Hey Ray, don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I’ve been a lurker on your streams for years ever since you parted from AH and recently I’ve had the courage and inspiration because of you to start streaming and uploading my own content. It’s starting out rough but I promise if it gains traction, I’ll be sending a big tip on stream your way. Stay amazing man ❤
Ray should revisit Lies of P now that he's beat sekiro🙏
Sekiro is definitely in the top 10 games I've ever played but if I ever have to fight another Demon of Hatred, I'm gonna krill myself then comit whale (in game)
Headless is in the game to remind you it could be as terrorizing as dark souls with this combat system. Its lretty dumb in a game like this to require TWO consumables to kill one boss, when theres 4 of them.
GG beating Sekiro , i started playing at the same time you did and got 100% done by the time this vod is up , fantastic game .
as for possible future souls , other than Bloodborne and Demon Souls you should definitly look more into Dark souls 3 as an option , for having 100% all 3 DS i can tell you Dark souls 2 is only loosely linked to 1 and 3 and as by far the most annoying and unfriendly mechanics ,enemies and bosses , there is so cool stuff here and there but it is not a great time , so can easly be skipped for Dark souls 3 witch is a lot better than 2 and 1 in comparaison , that's my 2 cents .
Glad to see that 5 years later people are still cheesing the demon of hatred😂 that dark souls ass boss has no business in sekiro lol
CHARLIE I WOULD DIE FOR YOU
bloodborne when?
Elden ring playthrourg gotta be coming soon copium
Well he played it as a one off when it released, so I’d say it’s kind of unlikely
Elden Ring is way too long and the backseating would be atrocious as it's much more mainstream than other Fromsoft titles.
Please actually play the Surge, I'm a fan of them! Would not recommend code vein, I don't think you'd like it. It feels a little too stiff
I know you don't particularly care for the Souls games (outside of this one) but I really hope you play Dark Souls 3 at some point.
Honestly you don't need to play 2, or even 1, before playing Dark Souls 3. Also DS3 gets some helpful refinement thanks to being made after Bloodborne and everything learned from that.
honestly just do elden ring or ds3, you really do not need to play ds2 at all.
Now do the other ending.
I would love for ray to play the for honor campaign now that this is done. Sort of similar vibes but a better combat system.
Second
First
um actually this is the last part, my guy.
Dark Souls 2 is NOT fine. It's a shit game with artificial difficulty. Do not listen to chat, they're 100000000% wrong.
yeah seriously, ray will never touch another soulsborne game again if he plays that
Chef's kiss 🤌. This is peak entertainment.
love the playthrough, now that you’ve beaten the game you should check out the blindfolded run of the game they did at GDQ a few years ago
