I always wanted to be a commentator since I wanted to call the moves with great enthusiasm and say the proper names unlike the botch names they've done for years
I mean it depends if you consider people like Chad Gable, Sami Zayn, LA Knight, Bron Breakker etc. mid carders because these guys are definitely way bigger names than any AEW main eventer right now
9:20 not every wwe hall of famer is memorable. I doubt if you tell someone antonino rocca is a wwe hall of famer. 90% of the people would even any idea about who he is.
I’d rather be good in the ring, we’ve had multiple world champions with minimal mic skills due to managers. IE Brock Lesnar, Yokozuna, The Great Khali, even Bobby Lashley.
Sure, but there are far more world champions that were superior on the mic. The Rock, Hogan, Steve Austin, Triple H, JBL, etc. While those guys weren’t bad by any means in the ring, they were where they were because of their mic abilities and charisma. World champions aside, great in ring workers like Cesaro, Ricochet, Apollo Crews, etc. are more often underutilized in WWE than mic guys.
i picked aew main eventer and i absolutely agree that people chose wwe midcarder just bc it’s aew. but yall, look at the paychecks. mjf, although he currently has a midcard title, makes 15 MILLION a year. i looked up santos escobar as a midcard example, and he makes around $400k yearly. people may think you get more fame from being a wwe midcarder than an aew main eventer, but i absolutely disagree with that. and like you said, when you’re an aew main eventer you can most likely move over to wwe if you wanted and immediately go to the top.
I said I would rather take a Bron Breakker spear ... my logic was that Gunther could probably kill me if he gave me a full force chop. Now multiply that by 10. I love Gunther ... I just don't want him to kill me.
To be fair, he didn’t clarify the type of person he was calling a mid carder in the original X poll - people probably thought he was including people in the IC title picture, for example 🤷♂️
Bret Hart is an example of a talented in-ring worker whose mic skills wasn’t his strength at all. By being paired with Jim Neidhart who was way better on the mic (and also being part of Jimmy Hart’s stable). He found workarounds to combat his shyness (hence the sunglasses) and, with time, became a decent mic worker. Now, for Liv or Rhea, I’ll pick Rhea because she and Dom heavily influenced each other in building their respectively successful gimmicks by reinterpreting Eddie and Chyna’s love story in their own way. Liv is reaping the rewards of a successful heel turn with the Dirtiest of all Doms.
Some people answered without thinking. For instance I went with MITB instead of Royal Rumble because the guaranteed chance to be on TV week in and week out at the chance of a cash in. Also I went with the Indy’s instead of NXT because you can travel and experience so much and wrestle people from all over the world
1 - Most Championship Wins. Let's face it, Cena is regarded as the GOAT by many people in large part due to his 16 world title reigns. Sure, Roman's insanely long title reign was absolutely legendary and gave the undisputed championship huge prestige, but it won't get talked about as much as Cena's 17th title win, if it does happen. Also, I don't see many people calling Bruno Sammartino the GOAT despite him having the longest reign of all time. 2 - Best in the mic. Like Santi said, you don't need to be one of the greatest in the ring to make it big in wrestling. Cena was not particularly a technical master, neither was The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin, but what they all had in common was insane mic work that brought them to the top and to the GOAT conversation. Great in-ring wrestlers like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and AJ Styles are also very celebrated, but their mic work was not bad. Put simply, if you had average mic work, you would have more trouble connecting with the audience, and even if you were a great wrestler, you would have a hard time getting over. A great example of this is Ricochet. 3 - Be an AEW main eventer. I don't even watch AEW, but being a main eventer there would mean being a well-known star that would be paid handsomely. Being a midcarder in WWE wouldn't be bad, but it wouldn't guarantee me long lasting success, as I could be taken off of TV for a while, possibly to never comeback. And like Santi said, being a midcard champion is not exactly the same, as in that position I would be able to be put in the main event quite often. Besides, being a top guy in AEW allows me to go to WWE and become a main eventer there whenever I wish. 4 - Be a beloved wrestler. It would allow me to get insane pops and would give me more confidence in my promos and in my in-ring skills. Being a heel would be fun, but if I was intensely booed like Dom is for example, I could struggle with my promos since I wouldn't even have a chance to speak and hence develop my promo work. That and due to personal preference makes me choose the second option. 5 - Be a WWE Hall of Famer. Sure, main eventing Wrestlemania is a dream come true for any wrestler, but being a Hall of Famer will immortalize me in the realm of WWE and wrestling in general. Besides, even if I don't main event mania, I can always main event Summerslam, which would be almost as prestigious. 6 - Be wrecked by Oba Femi. Less scary and honestly it would be less likely to get him legitimately pissed off to the point that he would actually hurt me. 7 - Go with Liv. Personal preference really. 8 - Take 3 Bron Breakker Spears. It would hurt a lot, but it's a move that actually doesn't hit the opponent with full force. Chops, as far as I know, are given as is in wrestling, without holding back. And after seeing what Tyler Breeze did to CVV when he chopped him, I think I wouldn't want to take my chances with Gunther of all people. 9 - Win the Royal Rumble. Sure, I would be less likely to actually win the Championship, but winning the Rumble is a much bigger accolade than winning MITB, and people would remember that with more ease than they would remember a MITB win. Besides, if I don't win the Championship after winning the Rumble, I still won the Rumble. As for MITB, a failed cash-in can be much more damaging to my career. Or even worse than a failed cash-in, just look at what happened to Otis. 10 - Be a manager. You would be remembered more fondly if you do well, and you get a more prominent role than a commentator. Sure, there are forgettable managers, but I just love the fact that being a manager allows you to have the full wrestler experience in every way except in-ring wrestling. You can even be the focal point of great storylines. 11 - Take a Rikishi stinkface. It wouldn't be pleasant at all, but it grosses me out less than eating Boogeyman's worms, and it doesn't last as long as the worms' taste. 12 - Start in the independent scene. The feeling of already being well-known by the time you arrive in WWE (or NXT) would be great. It could also make for one of the greatest debuts of all time. 13 - Be in a faction. Largely because of the current landscape of the WWE, but also because it would allow me to make it big with friends or family of mine by my side. When we were kids, a friend of mine and I thought about a tag team name and gimmick if we ever went to WWE, so a faction would allow me to do that and more. 14 - Being a supernatural character. I feel like the worst case scenario for a comedy gimmick is worse than the worst case scenario for a supernatural gimmick, and could damage your career more than a failed supernatural gimmick would. Besides, that conceptual tag team me and my friend made had some supernatural elements to it, so I'm on board here. 15 - Botch a move on TV. It's less noticeable than botching a promo, and can be forgotten quicker. There are bad situations, sure, like a botch resulting in an injury or it being a really embarassing botch. But like Santi said, botches that result in injuries are rare, and embarassing botches are also quite rare. The only one that is very memorable for me is Top Dolla's failed suicide dive, which might've been the biggest reason for his WWE release. But then again, he is a champion in TNA now, so he's not doing that bad for himself.

The reason for me is that I just feel that WWE is the far superior product right now (and I like both for the record). 6:30 I went with wwe mid carder because my health is more important to me than money. Aew is pretty dangerous and unsafe. They do a lot of piledrivers, canadian destroyers and a lot of other moves which can seriously injure you while wwe's ring style is pretty safe. I might make less money as a wwe mid carder but I don't care. My health and longetivity is more important than any amount of money can ever be.

When I voted I thought of would rather be MJF or LA Knight/Bron B so I that's why lot of people chose wwe...and we gotta take into consideration that talent wise and business wise WWE is arguably the best it's ever been so I'm Taking WWE mid carter all day
10:45 Oba would beat me up cause he's pissed; Brock would do it for shits and giggles 💀
Why did you leave the sticker on the hoodie santi lmao
He finally got titles lets go 🥳
6:30 NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE GREAT 💯💯💯
Video idea: number…I don’t have a clue. Every NXT superstars male and females chances of winning a world title on the main roster.
/Bet the house. All the way down to no chance In hell.
Easily going with Liv Morgan, don’t want that goth cheerleader Rhea
i chose WWE midcarder because i feel like consistency wins there. i feel like i could be a mid card guy better than a main event guy overall
