Glad I found you and this as I’m having similar problems with my monitor not seeing output on startup. You have given me how to at least find what graphics card is in use. I’m new to LM and command line in Terminal. You make it look easy. I’ve got to identify my AMD gpu and find right driver. Thank you for pointing the way.
No problem but remember the amdgpu driver is not perfect. You can switch back anytime by deleting that line in /etc/default/grub and running sudo update-grub but I'm going to research if there is an easier method to switching drivers without having to go through all that. It would be nice to incorporate it into a boot menu. If I have any luck I'm going to make a new video.
