No I'm not. I don't have a reddit account anymore. I'm not sure why, but they deleted every single post I ever made. I wondered if it was because they had restaurant names, but I was only guessing. So I quit using reddit except for reading.

Are you using Vita3k to install the DLC files from a zip? First I tried the manual method but then switched to using Vita3k. When I installed the main DLC package, Vita3k put all of the folders into the "addcont" folder, but when installing the patch, it dropped all the folders into the pcse00383/DLC folder.

@@linuxmintguy430 I have the DLC and the 1.09 update in .pkg files and installed them through Vita3k. I only get the addcont folder, but the DLC one doesn't even get created. I've tried installing the DLC first and patch second and also tried it the other way around, but it seems to give the same result. Edit: I've managed to solve it in the end by installing the DLC on the PC version of Vita3k and copying the data over to Android from there. Thanks for the video!

Does it completely crash or just hang for a while? When I run this on Android with the files moved, it takes 3 or 4 times as long to get past the brown screen where it looks for the DLCs.

@ crashes fully on my RP4P, it doesn’t even finish the little 2k intro. So I just left it alone for now. I’m hoping the developers saw your post on GitHub n give the emulator an update at some point.

@@nwordfword8073 I'm sorry it did not work for you. I'm going to remember this in case I decide to try an RP4P. I looked up the specs and they sound good! I am hoping they will update the emulator as well, but if I do get one, I will try to get it working.

@@linuxmintguy430 i appreciate it brother!!! ima just wait it out and hope they update it. the game runs great at X2 resolution so i am surprised it crashed. This is a new emulator so with time it will be better

That is correct. But Freevpn and Vpnbook did work at the time I made this video, but Freevpn has been nonfunctional for a long time now (6 months at least). So far I am still looking for more free vpns. The name of the vpn service does not matter. The price does not matter. The ONLY things that matter are the location of the servers and the logging policy. Make sure you are crystal clear on this information before using. If the information is lacking, do NOT use. One thing generally lacking with these companies is honesty!

Partly, yes. As far as Linux is concerned, I have used some older games that require the radeon driver. But I became interested in switching to the amdgpu driver, because the radeon driver has 0% compatibility with vulkan. I reached the point of obsession in trying to get Veloren to work smoothly. I already had it working very fluid but reinstalled Linux Mint, and then it was choppy as hell. For a week I obsessed over it, because I knew it was a software issue preventing it from running properly. Unfortunately, I work on these things also while sleeping which is horrible when you already have severe insomnia. One more thing, if you are green to Linux at all, you may want to consider a dual-boot setup so you always have Windows as a fallback. In my experience, AMD graphics drivers always work better with the proprietary drivers available in Windows. The open-source Linux drivers have become better gradually over the years but still do not benchmark as well as the Windows ones do.

@@linuxmintguy430 Appreciate it. I most likely will use Linux for daily driving until I want to play a game and then just switch to Windows for that. Maybe in a few years further I can just ditch Windows as a whole. Cheers

No problem; I like the fact that it is offline. I notice my phone now has offline dictation, but it seems like it is a little less accurate than being connected to wifi. I feel the same about nerd-dictation. Although I do have to go back and spell correct, it still types much faster than I can, so I'm happy with the tradeoff.

That is my main complaint about the scoped file system in the newer android. I used to have everything right off the root folder, where the files were easy to manipulate and modify. Minetest, retroarch, epsxe, redream, etc. Certain apps like OpenTouch and ppsspp still let you use a regular folder off the root to modify the files. Makes it easier to add texture packs to the psp emulator.

I'm assuming you mean in Windows. I need to update my copy of Retroarch for Windows. I've actually got a bunch of old legacy emulators on there (some of them are still quite good but 32 bit). It makes me wonder how good Retroarch runs in directx 9, because I know it also uses opengl.

Ok I have just re-uploaded the file to mediafire. I found that someone uploaded the original copy to moddb.com last year, but then I remembered that I made a PAK file out of it, so I took the PAK file I made and 7zipped it. Its about 275 mb uncompressed so now its an easy 65 mb download. I fixed the link in the video description, so it should work now. One last thing is that I believe I was using Quakespasm Spiked in the video, but I just tried the dev version for android, and it keeps locking up on me. So I changed back to version .96.1, and it is working good so far.

I am running a dual-boot machine with both Windows 7 and Linux Mint v22. I definitely get better performance under Windows 7 with the proprietary AMD driver than with radeon driver or amdgpu driver in linux mint. The linux drivers have improved over the years but are still not quite as good as the Windows ones. I know this for a fact from testing. I also tend to get less lockups in Windows. I hate to admit that sometimes the Linux drivers just lockup on me, so I've had to move some games over to Windows just for stability.
