Chris always has the best little embellishment harmonies when he does collabs like this. His rasp just always sounds so awesome behind a lead vocal. And his feel for it is incredible as well.
You can tell Chris is holding back slightly vocally (to allow both great vocals to shine) Both are incredibly talented and just wish they would record this in the studio.

I thought Chris’ performance with Justin Timberlake years ago was an unbeatable, never-to-be-replicated event in music history……I was so wrong. This was my first time hearing/seeing this and I am beyond words. Chris is the first country star whose songs, voice and guitar playing gives me legit goosebumps. I’ve been a guitar player for over 30 years and while I have seen/heard the most amazing music, he is a diamond in the rough. And what can I say about H.E.R.? She is a blues/soul angel descended from the heavens who can reach inside our soul and touch us with such an incredible amount of feeling.
