Oh god, thank you Michael! Los Angeles isn't as bad as people think or how the news portrays it. You really do a great service to your city. I have been to LA many times and I love it. I lived in Palm Springs for awhile and took the two hour trip there many times. Love you Michael!
Damn, I could spend hours and hours watching your helicopter flights above the beach ! And that's what I do, I keep watching them years after you posted them haha !
I saved this video to watch later on a special occasion (New Year's weekend) as I knew it would be fantastic. And it was! I love when you point out a place because I then pause the video and Google it to learn more, such as Moonshadows, Duke's and Neptune's Net, as well as HRL Laboratories, and Pepperdine University. Great stuff. The mansions and estates were incredible, especially the 'mind-blowing estate'. At 10:45, I'm not sure if it was just an optical illusion, but it looks as if part of the lawn takes a 90 degree turn heading straight down the hill. It was especially nice to see the warm, dry conditions ...at least compared to the cold and snow where I live. Thank you once again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I live in Malibu and drive PCH all the time. Usually on an exciting trip to Ralph’s and back. I never see the homes I pass every day because they are hidden from the road. How cool to see what they look like them from the air. Thank you!
Ahh the birds!! I was doing my final checkride prep today for my IFR exam tomorrow and my God were the birds bad today. Huge flocks of hawks and vultures up there. We were dodging them left and right. I am at 190 hours now flight time and I have never seen them so packed up in the sky. Love these flights buddy! Love using my Flying Eyes as well that of course I used code "Micah" with lol.
I Live right on the water in Oxnard, its great. But every 5-6 years with a storm and king tide at the same time it can get sketchy. At least theres plenty of sand for sand bags ( but cali law says we arent suppose to use it )
Micah, A million thanks for all the wonderful flyover. I love Cali but can't get out that way for a while. I definitely would prefer the view high on a hill.
Yes yes yes, as a tourist i have indeed rented Mustang convertibles in California. It was excellent to be able to experience the California views with the top down. I also owned a Mustang convertible at home in Canada.
It feels cliche but a convertible Mustang is honestly the best way for tourists to experience California. I fully approve!!! And thanks for confirming that folks do indeed buy drop top Stangs. 🤘
I used to live in Santa Monica. I would love to miss it, and I do, but it was a costly and crowded place to live. I wish the people all the best in fighting the fires.
Encinal to Mulholland including the Snake and past Topanga. Up Piuma or Stunt. Decker or Encinal as alts to Kanan. Everytime I got new summer tires for my RSX-S I would go carve it up here. Sticky tires especially needed on the snake.
"Fancy house" at 14:48 is the home of Bill and Maria Bell, it's likely the largest home in Malibu at apprx 40,000 sq ft, it was designed by famous architect Tadao Ando.
I've really missed these Micah. Glad the bird is all spruced up and back in the air. These are very relaxing to watch and I just sit back to enjoy the view.

Hey Micah! As an Australian who loves traveling to California, thank you. I can’t wait for international travel to reopen then I’ll be back! 😀 love your videos and seeing LA especially from the sky. It’s an incredible city.
What a great video, Micah! It's been years since I've traveled the coast and really appreciated this trip down memory lane...Or shall we say, the PCH! Such a change from the flatlands here in Ohio! You're the best! Take care.

Rented a 2018 ford mustang convertible a couple years ago and drove it to Ventura from LA on the PCH. It was great! Wish I had gone on more scenic roads nearby! I did do Mulholland Drive though!
You say the Ford Mustang convertible is the tourist car in L A . Once my motorcycle riding days are over, the Ford Mustang convertible will be a top contender on my list, :-). Thank You for the flight. Cheers. 🙂🏍🇨🇦
First of all, your Fly Over Videos are amazing. I just recently got a 4K Computer Monitor and now I can enjoy the full potential of your videos. Now viewing them is even more Amazing!
Nice. You flew straight over the house of my favourite guitarist, Mike Einziger, from my favourite band, Incubus. And you also twice flew over the Morning View Studio Mansion where Incubus recorded their 2001 Album, Morning View.
My fraternity, Theta Xi, at UCLA had a yearly outing to Point Dume (Du-May (spanish)). I do remember the drives up but not back (think kegger!) Once, I saw a body that had fallen off the cliff on the north side of the hill.
Ha! The first time I went to LA in like 2003 with my dad on a business trip, we stayed at the Renaissance (now Loews) at Hollywood and Highland, and drove a rented Mustang convertible along the PCH! Then we went awol and hit up City Walk 🤪.
Love seeing u up there so happy and funny!! My hometowns from the skyview is just the best, so many land adventures, like taking the Rolls-Royce to Zuma beach, all us kids in the backseat and onlookers thinking we were famous but we weren't 😄 Your flights show just how beautiful those hills are, and for the record....Thank You!!!
Back in the summer of 2004 my roommate and I ate some mushrooms and drove his 1998 Chrysler Sebring down Kanan Dume road. We took a right on PCH and ended up at El Matador beach. To be 20 years old again!
I was a lifeguard there then. Its a satellite beach for us but we still went down there for the busy part of the day. Glad to see you had a great time.

Keep Texas roads in perspective.... there are a ton of good driving roads around Austin. Since you brought up convertible Mustangs, back in the late 90s I was working at a Ford dealership in Austin and a sales manager gave the keys to an Expedition and an address west of Bee Caves. It sucked driving out in the Expedition but it turned out I was picking up a convertible Cobra. The drive back was a lot more fun.
You're right. I haven't given Texas roads a proper shot. The good news is that I'll be back in Austin before too long. Can't wait to do some driving and get more BBQ!
