Loved the fact you started as a janitor. Humble beginnings make the Joy's of life even greater. Where there is beauty there is hope. We need and will have it all together again! BEAUTIFUL CALIFORNIA, BEAUTIFUL WORLD.
Viewer from Australia chiming in - I watch primarily for the same reasons I watch all of your content; your personality and presentation, that's really the key. Certainly I have a big interest in the subject matter - I find the aerials fascinating for the perspective they provide and my own interest in the US, but I wouldn't watch a similar flyover with no commentary or presented by somebody who wasn't engaging and entertaining, it's your contribution that makes all the difference. That applies to your other content too, there's 100's of car channels I could chose to watch, but yours (and KBB, shoutout to Lyn too, she's fantastic) is one of the few I watch and support because the subject matter itself is only one ingredient, it's the presentation and personality that makes all of the difference. Keep up the great work Micah, I love all of it.
Australia is like a giant California, laid back and plenty of beaches, all our cities are close to the beaches. Weather is probably similar to Cali. Laguna Beach: from the show OC, that turned into the show: The Hills, which my wife and I use to watch back in our younger days, it gave us inspiration to visit USA/Cali twice in the last 5 years.
Washingtonian here wishing all you beautiful California people health & happiness throughout all this mess. Thanks for another epic flyover tour of some sweet spots!
16:16 Hey, Micah, I'm from England, too. I get quite emotional when you fly around Long Beach. I went there in 2016 and stayed at the Renaissance Hotel. My first time to America. I went to Vegas for a week and then to LB for another. Loved LB. I watch your videos just to catch a glimpse of Waterfront/North Pine. Thanks. 👍
Melbourne Australian watcher 🇦🇺 here, love the videos, have visited the US about 8 times, had flights booked for November 2020 but now postponed.. the videos are great, brings back memories of the beautiful LA weather, loved the theme park videos, been to them all many times. Keep the videos coming.. great entertainment 👍
Brisbane, Australia here 🇦🇺 It's great to see the aerial view compared to the hire car view. Have been to the USA a number of times and am super keen to get back. Your vids take the edge off the travel withdrawals, so a mighty big Aussie thankya for that 👍
L.A. native. South Orange County resident. Loved seeing images of my local beach, Salt Creek! Sending best wishes to all of your viewers from Australia, NZ, and the UK!
Thank you...I needed this SO much. I just canceled my week in Laguna Beach due to quarantine. This was my 68th birthday present and my son and I were going back to Blessing Cottage, dinner at Thai Brothers, drinks at Sapphire, Angels tickets, a full day in Galaxy’s Edge. I am from HERE...raised in SoCal in 1960’s. I love you for this gift!🖖🏼
To answer your question. We are from Australia and we have been watching all your flying videos because we usually go to California 3 or 4 times a year and now we can’t. We were last there at Christmas but now we have to live vicariously through you. Great footage and commentary make it a very pleasant experience. Thank you!
Harrison Ford will kill someone with his plane. Haha. We used to live there, but our business and family are in Australia so that’s where we live now. It will be interesting to see how long it is before we can come there again.
Micah, I don’t think you realize how relaxing and fun these fly alongs are for us in these unsettling times. It truly is amazing and relaxing to see the coastline from this perspective. Another awesome video. Thank you for doing this. ❤️🤘🙂
Hi Micah, I've been fortunate to have visited your beautiful country two years ago, where me and my son did 2200 mls in a Ford Expedition from San Fran through Yosemite and Death Valley to Vegas and LA and back to SF along the coast, and just can't wait to come back to see more of California one day :) Your videos are amazing and bring me to places I would never be able to see without you ! Many thanks from Northampton UK :)
Hey Micah from England, would love to visit LA at some point, loving your helicopter videos gives a whole new perspective on Los Angeles! Keep up the good work! :)
Brisbane, Australia here reporting for duty. Love helicopters and love your chilled out positive personality. Also, California looks very similar to where I live, and the Gold Coast which is 45 minutes down the road from me. The weather, land, and the mentality of people seem the same to me. So I can relate, without living there. Keep up the awesome content mate.
Well Micah i just happened across your videos tonight while browsing You Tube & i have to say i'm very impressed. You are very knowledgeable, personable & make it very interesting. And for me living in So. Calif & Orange County most of my life was like going back in time. I was lucky enough to have lived in Newport Beach as a young guy. So thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Thanks for keeping the cameras going so I could see Camp P. and O'side. I used to live there and miss it terribly. Loving the videos, and my beach choice would be Solano Beach. Not in your vid, but I liked it there. Stay safe, thank the wife and kiddo for letting you live your dream.
Hi,great videos, great memories of once home. My wife and I lived in SoCal for 30 years..retired now to Northern Eutope,Finland. Would like to request one day for a flight all over San FernandoValley..especially our homes streets in Studio City and where I grew up ,Sherman Oaks. We'd love to see these areas as we've been away for 25 years. Love your videos,I was once employed by LA Helicopter as a Station Manager, flew as crew many many trips to various parts of LA and SoCal back in the 80s. In the meantime we'll keep watching your beaut videos of our former home areas. Thanks and all best in these horrible corona- times, Jukka T. Kauppinen
Hey Micah, contacting you from Newcastle England, my wife and I have been coming to California since early 2000's, we have friends we visit in Lake Forest and Jamul San Diego. We mostly visit for vacation, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Newport Beach, Supercoss at Angel stadium and Petco Park. We go MTB riding at Aliso Canyon, Whiting Ranch etc, dirt bike riding, Fox Raceway, Perris, Glen Helen etc. Absolutely love the lifestyle, we loved your Disney and Angel stadium fly over's. Fantastic videos and commentary keep up the good work (maybe another Disney fly over from a different direction?) Thank so much for the videos we love watching them........................
Former HB/Costa Mesa/Mission Viejo dude now living in TX. Can't tell you how much I miss OC/SoCal... Thank you Micah - your videos really help to fill the void!
"That Place" is the Portobello Estate. My friend's father was the owners/builders business partner for many years. The owner had several local properties and some out of state too. Even had his own aircraft at KSNA. Good stuff. I knew you would fly over it. It had a theater, underground garage, bowling alley, the kitchen was a diner inside, and a jewelry store type of thing to hold his wife's treasures. Laguna Beach, my grandparents lived there. In fact my grandfather went down Laguna Canyon Highway (then road) in a horse and buggy in the early 1900s. Too bad you couldn't fly down low along the Camp Pendleton area. Rah!
Lived, worked, sailed, surfed and played there, back in the 80's. So it's great seeing your home from the air. Now retired in the UK and happy to catch your excellent HD footage via the internet. Great work. Thanks for uploading!
Adelaide, Australia. My wife and I feel at home in California. It's on the way back arriving in Australia where we experience the culture shock and feel home sick when we're away for too long. Your videos have alleviated much of it. Fantastic content. Car reviews too!
Hey Micah, I’m from NZ and love your flights. We were supposed to visit there but due to the lockdown this is the closet we get to being there. Keep the cool videos coming.
This video means something special to me. Our son lives in Huntington Beach and we miss him like crazy! Seeing Huntington, Newport Beach and The Wedge was really cool.
Micah I am a retired Boeing 767 commander and I have a son who lives in Torrance with a wife and three-year-old grandson. I know all these beaches and it makes me anxious to see everything stopped. I love your flights and I always accompany you. Continue with this beautiful work. thank you
Love your flyover! I'm in Anaheim. My point of reference for Laguna Beach would be where the 134 hits PCH right at the ocean. I love going to Laguna to visit Selanne's Steak House. It's DELICIOUS!! Best food EVER! It's owned by the Hall of Fame hockey player, Teemu Selanne.
Greetings from Germany. I've been to California for vacation the last three summers. This year I probably can't go. So it's nice to get some impressions on RUclips at least
Hi from Sydney Australia, AVGEEK here, you turned up in my suggested vid's - blame utube :). Gotta say, your "fly with Micah" vids a great, I'm amazed you can fly all over LA as you do. I have been to LA 5 times or so, interested to see the tourist traps I've been too. Love the different camer angles too. Thanks for sharing!
Growing up in Santa Ana, South Laguna, Victora state beach, and Treasure Island were my favorite hangouts. I noticed that they removed the historic Treasure Island trailer park, what a shame I had friends who lived there and it was a great place to chill, point of interest of the park was a trailer that was used in the Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz movie, The Long Long Trailer.
This is the BEST!I don’t know if I can fully express my appreciation for this video flight! This lockdown/shutdown has depressed me, even tho I’m a FedEx driver and get to be out. Seeing this gorgeous skyline confirms my 50 year passion for Southern California... too me 40 years to get here. This made me forget the politics for almost 26 minutes. Great job Micah! See ya instagram
Honestly, one of my favorite drives is the 5 freeway going south from Irvine to capo Beach in South OC, usually traffic just flows and on a bright sunny day with the windows down, its a beautiful drive.
Wolverhampton, UK checking in. Flying over L.A gives us a much more realistic view of the cities and landscapes you live in than Google can (and it does pretty well). You're also an engaging host and a bright spot in some pretty dismal times. Keep at it sir, and if you get the chance I quite like the Petersen Automotive Museum facade - might be nice to see it from up high.
Victoria, Australia here. this is the best opportunity to see different places from an angle we might never be able to see normally. Thanks for these posts
Thank you for being so cool! Seriously love the call outs and I'm planning on making a trip out to LA so this is kinda showing me some great places to visit. Love the houses you showed holy moly some crazy places in LA. Btw where those Harrier Jets at the end? Keep it up!
I'm gonna get this in before I watch the video and it gets lost in the comments: Would it be possible for you fly along the L.A. River? Maybe from Long Beach up as far as you can go. Lots of movie locations and varying neighbourhoods to pass through. Big fan from London!
I have lived here all my life, and been out on the oceans all my life in boats.. wow, the water looks BLUER than I am used to seeing.. really cool. its usually greener next to the shore and once I got out about 15 miles or so it would get blue... very cool dude !!!
This was a great one Micah. I am reading "Two years before the Mast" by Charles Dana and never really had much of an idea what Dana Point looked like from the air. Very Cool ! Yeh, don't turn your fun hobby into a job unless you want to wreck your hobby !
Hello from Gold Coast Australia, never miss your content, why? California fascinates me , though I have been there twice before , a land of Beauty and amazing people. Thanks 😊
Yep. I'm 75 & lived in the OC etc for 40 years & never heard that. It's either Pacific Coast Highway or PCH. Not to criticize just a personal observation.
@Harrison Ford will kill someone with his plane People have used the term Cali for decades. Rapper LL Cool J refers to California as "Cali" in "I'm going back to Cali" circa 1987. That being said, it's a term not really used by locals AFAIK
@Harrison Ford will kill someone with his plane Yes, but the term has been in use for decades. Thankfully, you don't hear it much locally but I've heard people in the UK, Germany, and Canada use it when I tell them I'm from California. Eech
Bub. What yoyu do is so good that you don't understand your audience is worldwide. So. Living in LA. OK. But I would say the rest of us are fascinated and have a much bigger picture. Rock it.
I was wondering when you were going to fly over Laguna Beach. I’m from NorCal and have some cousins that live close to Laguna so I’ve been there a few times
Cape Town, South Africa - Love the videos, keep em coming. Find them relaxing and you have a good balance between talking about the houses and beaches and the helicopter flying (being a student pilot I wouldn't mind more of the helicopter info/references when flying :)
CAME FROM GERMANY AT AGE FIVE RAISED IN SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA THE NEXT FIFTY-FOUR AND WOULD HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN PARTS OF MY STATE WITHOUT YOU SITE ..THANK YOU
@@freakout247 on the enstrom website, they estimate that this helicopter costs around $269 per hour to operate, that is for all the scheduled maintenance and fuel.. if you wana fly helicopters for cheaper maybe you can look into the mosquito XE helicopter, its $30k and cheap to operate
I'm from the UK and the reason I like these videos is because when I was growing up Baywatch was my favourite TV show. Also I like when you fly along the beach and the weather looks nice too.
Did you see all the morons out protesting yesterday in HB? Of course all bunched together without masks. Hope they aren't going home to elderly or otherwise compromised loved ones. But deep in my evil heart I'm hoping they do!
Thank you for the (quick) flyover of Balboa. That was a family vacation place in the '60s and I LOVE it. And - the beaches. I miss them a lot, but not enough to move back, and the Utah Rockies are pretty spectacular too. You give an old man a lot of pleasure, Micah.
its the helicopter thats the trespasser in their world , so keep in mind that your the uninvited guest , and all will be well .............. with luck.
I don’t know why RUclips recommended this video to me, but I watched the whole thing and loved it. So much so that I subscribed to your channel, thanks for sharing your video. I grew up in the Valley in the 60’s-70’s, but always felt like a foreigner when we visited/surfed the OC beaches, so we rarely went there. You asked about Laguna...I have two reference points. I worked with a guy in Vail, Robert, who used to own the Fahrenheit 451 bookstore there and I am a fan of author Don Winslow, who often features Laguna...most extensively in his novel “Savages”. Great book. I have owned a Cherokee for 36 years, based in Boulder, and feel the same way you do about flying for fun, not compensation. Although I wouldn’t mind getting a type rating if some rich person wanted me to pilot his G550. Yeah, right.
Of all the beaches in this video, where would you most like to live?
San Clemente Beach, becuase I already live there.
Whichever one I could afford.
lived at most of them in sol cal, prefer it here in the smokey mtns.
Fly over here to Catalina. Ill be outside and wave haha. love ur videos man
I hope you get paid for us watching to pay for that fuel. Lol
Man, I've lived in Southern California all my life, but I've never seen our coastline quite like this before.
Jelly. I hope you appreciate how amazing your home is
Loved the fact you started as a janitor. Humble beginnings make the Joy's of life even greater. Where there is beauty there is hope. We need and will have it all together again! BEAUTIFUL CALIFORNIA, BEAUTIFUL WORLD.
why they pay good

Do your taxes and governmental control prevent you from enjoying the land? Asking for a friend.
Western Australia [Perth] has a similar climate to Southern California
That's NOT GOOD!
I live in OC it really is pleasure everyday, beautiful weather.
Kelly Robson yeah except Australia has a fuck ton of dangerous animals from jellyfish, alligators, snakes, spiders, wild fucking dogs...
It just gets nicer the further south you go.
As far as scenery - for sure. Pendleton is a military base and as such all the land is pretty much left alone
Steven Strain beaches still gets nicer even tho it’s mexico
So true! Water is clearer and more turquoise
It depends if you prefer rugged beaches or sandy beaches.
All teary-eyed this morning from watching this. Made me REALLY homesick for south OC. Thank you for the wonderful videos.
Washingtonian here wishing all you beautiful California people health & happiness throughout all this mess. Thanks for another epic flyover tour of some sweet spots!
Same to you bud
As soon as you hit Newport, god it was like I was like mesmerized by the beauty....the ocean, the cliffs, the houses. The wedge, wow
Evening from Melbourne Australia, enjoying this content immensely.
I did a helicopter ride in Sydney once.
Agreed Raiders. I think it is the warmer, sunny conditions that I am partly jelly of!
@ He lives in La. I don't think a helicopter will complete the journey across the ocean.

Hi Micah ,
I'm watching from Dublin Ireland , jealous of your helicopter travel . wonderful commentary.
Looking forward one day to visit California 😊

Did you not watch the video? He's Flys over laguna in this video
Powerful I don’t think you understood what I was trying to say
Cape Town, South Africa - Love the videos, keep em coming. Find them relaxing and you have a good balance between talking about the houses and beaches and the helicopter flying (being a student pilot I wouldn't mind more of the helicopter info/references when flying :)
From Latrobe Valley in Australia. Looking to move to LA or Vegas in the next 3-5 years. Follow you on Instagram & RUclips! Love the videos!!
CAME FROM GERMANY AT AGE FIVE RAISED IN SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA THE NEXT FIFTY-FOUR AND WOULD HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN PARTS OF MY STATE WITHOUT YOU SITE ..THANK YOU
How much does a flight like this cost you in fuel?
The helicopter burns around 16gallons per hour of avgas.the average cost of avgas in the US is $4.50/gal.
Loving the footage. Melbourne Australia here and love seeing the coast and suburbs which are similar to ours here.
That house at 14:39 😧 I’d like to be friends with whoever owns that
I grew up in San Juan Capistrano, so seeing these flights over So Cal bring back great memories from my Childhood. Thanks!
Aussie helicopter pilot wanna be. Been to states twice and drove the pch. Love seeing it from this perspective
Had drinks at the rooftop lounge once in Laguna Beach
Huntington Beach is the Florida of California.

Did you see all the morons out protesting yesterday in HB? Of course all bunched together without masks. Hope they aren't going home to elderly or otherwise compromised loved ones. But deep in my evil heart I'm hoping they do!
UK viewer here , we enjoy these videos as we have vacationed a few times along that coast and its cool to see how things have changed.
lol ,,, whats that down there ,, I see something expensive ...says the man with a helicopter. lol
Thanks for these videos. I live in Sunnyvale, and it’s nice to see what is happening in socal.
100% always PCH, never "the PCH"
Thank you for the (quick) flyover of Balboa. That was a family vacation place in the '60s and I LOVE it. And - the beaches. I miss them a lot, but not enough to move back, and the Utah Rockies are pretty spectacular too. You give an old man a lot of pleasure, Micah.
Thanks for positive responses, i guess the trolls fell asleep
What a trip. It's funny how fast time flies when you can travel out of the lines and above the lights and signs.
Absolutely ZERO sign of "sea level rise". Huh. It's exactly as it was when I was born there 60 years ago. Balboa peninsula still unthreatened.
These fly overs are absolutely some of the best videos to watch. From New Zealand. Can't wait for the next one!
Uncomfortable relationship with birds? But the bird is the word
Avery the Cuban-American bird, bird, bird. Bird is the word.
its the helicopter thats the trespasser in their world , so keep in mind that your the uninvited guest , and all will be well ..............
