- After 7 months time the dark souls 3 pc servers have finally returned! I decided to bring out the old strength build and test out how the invasions activity was.

It felt great to pvp in dark souls 3 after such a long time period away! I hope everyone else has as much fun with the online as i have!

So now that DS3 is back and you have 6 months with ER, which PvP system is better in your opinion and how are you planning to move forwards after the resurrection of DS3 servers!

Oh, how I missed seeing covenants. Wish they still were in Elden Ring.

I really hope they expand on the player count (if that’s even possible) and covenant stuff in DLC
Elden Ring could literally fit 8-10 people if you ask me. The map is just that big. I’m tired of doing invasions on ER and it’s just 3 butt buddies waiting for you.

If we count how P2P server works, you have 4 player sync-in their connection to the host, can you imagine if you have 6?

15:50 if this were Elden Ring that weapon art would have taken like 60% of your hp and knocked you into Caelid lol. Awesome to see ds3 co-op and pvp back finally.

everyone in ds3 using katanas now 100% used katanas in elden and thought it would be the same lol i did too
Somehow this feels more physical, more visceral, more subtle, more like actual combat. I think it's the absence of constant AOE attacks and the quicker pace.

And 2 hit true combo in all weapons give the combat more consistency
Also passive poise is just a joy to play without. Every hit feels more impactful.
No L2 4 the win or dual bleeding thrust weapons
I really liked the flashy combat. I did get an excuse to do the dlcs tho. also me and my friend can't see our summon signs. any idea why?
Seeing you play this again is bringing feelings back that Elden Ring just can't replicate. Seeing you backstab and hardswap and everything is just amazing.

Such a fun day playing PvP in DS3, everyone was constantly doing the joy emote! I love how you can communicate the hype of online returning without any text or voice chat in this game :)
It's been so long I completely forgot how fast DS3 is. It felt like I was watching the vid in 1.25x speed
Which makes it the worse game to spectate. It looks too random and chaotic compared to Elden Ring.
@@1IGG ahh yes the game with a more fluid combat looks worse to spectate than the game with more flashy moves, broken weapons , spells, getting one-two shot because of ridiculous damage and the constantly spam of sorceries and AOW.
Yeah wtf… Why tf in elden ring did they slow down combat for the player character while turning every enemy into a spastic crackhead with never ending combos… such a stupid design choice. Combat was so fun and fluid in ds3, in elden ring it’s just frustrating. Miyazaki got too caught up with making the game annoying instead of fun. What a waste. What could’ve been the greatest game ever made soiled by stupid, bizarre design decisions. Such a damn shame

Oh man, how I missed this bonk combos, as I missed other weapons moves too. I have a suggestion, you could make a "Dark Souls 3 invader" cosplay in the Elden Ring invasion series, using only weapons, itens and armors based on your DS3 main characters :v
Having a blast on DS3 since this afternoon. Fight Clubs, Duels, Invasions. Feels absolutely amazing ! Chad Souls 3 is back !
Look at how _fast_ everything is! I thought Elden ring's chunky feel was due to my PC but From really slowed it down compared to D3 for some reason.
It also really helps that half of the attacks don't involve slamming your weapon into the ground like in elden ring. Really helps make things feel lighter.

This doesn't make sense to me. I don't see how anyone could play this clunky old looking game. Can't even jump in this game. Compared to elden ring this game looks pretty bad...
it feels like chase became the soul of cinder here after spending so much time limiting himself to one weapon at a time during showcases. now he's just pulling out all of them and I'm like "oh oh oh, I remember that showcase!"
How I missed this! There is something in the simplicity of the movesets and how it all interacts to make invasions battles of poise, spacing and knowledge of each weapon... Time to get wex dust back on.
It’s crazy to see the length of duels again. Blowing someone out of a fight quickly is such a cool feeling in DS3. Seeing the same thing happen in Elden Ring feels lighter, less oomf.
I missed ds3 pvp so much Elden ring pvp feels like who has better cheese even ultras have their crouch poke spam, it feels so good to be back
I nearly thought I left a comment on this video and it freaked me out
I made the mistake of making my first build get to level 150. All pvp is either bleed builds or magic spammers, so i wont touch pvp unless from changes alot. 150 in ds3 at the very least had build variety.
@@hunterhudson4577 Or, you could just learn how to roll. Stars of ruin got nerfed and is completely dodgeable, rivers of blood got nerfed severely, etc etc. Imagine being mad at tons of customisation options in armor and weapons as well as abilities. Imagine.

I love all souls games, but this one I had to force myself to finish it and every subsequent playthrough I've attempted I got bored as fuck by the time i was past stormveil so just ended up stopping.

Bleed is still op you don't need rivers
There is little to no customisation available as you need veterans armour for poise and any semi optimised build can one shot you
It's crazy that two days ago I finished a DS3 playthrough, I hadn't played the game in years and decided to give it a go, I created some kind of melee pyromancer, it was really fun.
This summer I've re-played Bloodborne, Demon's Souls Remake and Sekiro after some years of not touching those and when I was playing DS3 I was thinking "This is the only game where I actually spent time on PvP" so the last 2 days I've been watching a ton of your old DS3 invasion videos. Nice stuff.
I simply adore your enthusiasm for this catalogue man. From the start of the video I could hear the smile on your face from finally being able to play DS3 online again. Been followin' ya for half a decade and you still keep the same enthusiasm you had then. Always a pleasure watchin' your uploads dood!
Finally, it’s been a while. I can continue to enjoy this games pvp, definitely gotta get use to the controls and no jumping tho.

DS3 has something that Elden Ring will never be able to replicate. I don't know how to describe it but I guess it's like a warm feeling inside. Booting up the game and hearing the music will never get old.
DS3 feels handmade in regards of ER.

thousands of hours i poured into DS3. it was almost a compulsive need to play each day when i got hooked. i was really impressed with elden ring for a week or so before the polish wore off. that first week of pvp was okayish but even then it only felt like who could cheese who. i wish elden ring hit like this.

Just started playing through this again on console. Hard to get invasions but I do get a decent amount of spears of the church summons, which is pretty fun. Hopefully the recent events give some more life on console too.
Nice, so glad it's back up! I never got to play DS3 PVP cause I played it offline on PS4 back in the day and got it on PC right when they shut it down.

I got on immediately with a build I made during downtime. Had it on aldritch and I immediately got 2 invasions back to back. Fun stuff.

In Elden Ring I try to use the stone club, which is the closest thing to the bonk, but it's no where near as satisfacting.

Most players don't care about ER anymore, so now they don't need a DS3 closed server. And they want to need copies of DS3 as ER is dead. This move of from Softwre is not surprising me, because it's just marketing.
@@threeDeeBeginner now that elden is tapering off, it’s logical to bring ds3 back, as you said. It’s also important because a lot of interest in soulsbourne in general is spiking again, bringing new players to older titles, their first being elden ring.
Like hell it is. Everything heavier than a greatsword is trash and greatswords get dominated by lighter weapons as it is. There are so many more things you can use in ER this wank is absurd.

I agree that it felt great to get back in. Jumped on a Pyro with the Demon's Scar and had a blast, blazing my way into other worlds and leaving behind ash and cinders. Truly the most fun cancer. After that, I just made a level 45 sorcery using the Cleric Candle. Still have no clue why people hate on it. So, I'm gonna have to upload some invasions here to give it some love. Glad to see Chase back in DS3, too. More Baemore!

I've missed this. I miss getting invaded, there is just a certain charm to the danger of getting invaded of you decide to ember. They need to fix ER and bring this back. I ember for that touch of extra health, but it's a gamble, ER needs that. I don't mind getting bonked, I relish the chase.
Easy fix is to just apply the ember system to rune arcs, no idea why they didn't do that
