Not any single tafseer can be regarded as best. Only good. One should not restrict himself to any. Quoting ibn taimiyah that he didn't find any better is not a good idea. There have been numerous modern commentators whose work is grand and glorious. Commentary of Mohsin Khan is most regressive but he praises it.

His tafsir is best for younger and educated generation who doesn't have a lot of time to read through a lot of tafsirs but want to have basic knowledge of commentaries on Quran. But as a student of knowledge, this is not suitable for the people who wants to learn extensively and in a research based process. So I hope you understand.
