Once i was scared because i couldn‘t feel my heart. I was afraid cuz like do i have light in my heart so i wake up in the night and prayed tahajjud. While i was praying i heard my heart beating like for real. And i couldn‘t hold back my tears and started crying while praying. It was happiness that made me cry subhanallah ❤ i will never forget this inshaallah ❤

Your jealousy means that you have desire to understand Quran so who stopped you from reading and understanding it. You just have to download the Quran with translation and tafseer of any firqa you believe in just read three verses everyday, and day by day you get to understand more and more. Just get started. I was feeling kinda down today and feeling empty and sad and just cried for some minutes then I took wudu and started reading the Quran and ELHAMDULILAH now I feel good, i read Quran and listened on youtube Quran recitations and I feel so good ALLAHU EKBER 🥹🤍 I think that that’s why I was feeling bad, I really think that I needed to read/listem Quran because I was sitting outside and I was thinking “I want to listen to Quran” it’s like my heart was asking for it, was needing it. La ilahe il Allah *guys pray, read Quran, listen to Quran, that’s the best cure that you can give to your body*

I don't know what feeling empty means but alhamdulillah whenever I recite Qur'an, the peace that I feel is very unique, the peace that can't be felt anywhere or with anyone in this world ..the peace that one can feel with Allah swt and with his word is something beyond words that can't be explain.. SubhanAllah, How amazing it is that quite recently it was discovered (around 1990s) that the heart also has around 40000 neurons that are alike neurons in the brain. It is called 'Intrinsic cardiac nervous system' or the 'heart brain'. And this works independently of the brain and also maintains connection with the brain, which means we have two different intelligence systems in our body, literally!!!!!

Increase the number of nafl prayers along with farl prayers , this will improve your relationship with Allah and see what happens to emptiness, read Quran frequently
A person said "الله أكبر(ALLAHOAKBAR)" later he said "سُـبْـحَـانَ ٱلله(SÜBHANALLAH)" and after that he said "لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إنى كنت من الظالمين(la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz zalimin)" in this he earned many many good deeds and that person is YOU!
I was in love with a person with whom I intended to marry..I already informed my parents too.. but I got to know that he has been committing sins like indulging in music and adultery. We separated..and now I've just lost my father...I ask everyone to please make dua for my deceased father, my family...I'm really struggling in studies and there's no one to take Care of the house financially...please make due for me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I was feeling really low since my last relapse last night and on top of that i cried the most in life last night too, but man after i saw this vid i went to read the quran and mashallah i felt my heart beating again in the spiritual manner

The spiritual connection to Allah no doubt plays a big role in fighting depression. It has been found that people with personality disorders who feel emptiness, when they get the emotional support they lacked, felt profoundly better. Not all emptiness is spiritual some is relational.
Not saying this is necessarily wrong. I'm still relatively new to Islamic psychology and most of my understanding of psychiatry and psychology is through Western education. However, to argue that sometimes mental illness is not due to a spiritual disconnect from Allah purely based on the fact that something other than fixing ones relationship with Allah improved it is like arguing that a bariatric patient's knee pain, isn't due to their weight, but a lack of painkillers, because once they took the painkillers they felt better. Of course the underlying problem is actually their weight. We can take all the walks we like, connect with people all we like, eat healthily, sleep well, and that may make us feel better for a period of time, but ultimately it may be that what we are doing is tackling a symptom, not the root of a problem. So just be careful not to come to a conclusion so quick about the causes of mental illness or personality disorder inshallah. Subhanallah this is a field I hope to go into and the more I study it, the more I realise how little understanding I really have (and how heavily influenced our understanding of mental illness is by the West).
@@Bittarig There is a reason why Western society is advanced. They have studied things. You cannot feed a hungry man through prayer. Emptiness is a symptom of depression. It needs treatment.
In that case, why is there so much depression? Should be easily fixed right? Depression is a choice. You choose to be happy or unhappy. You choose to give up or carry on. Muslims are able to fight depression because we have faith. That’s what gets us through. You won’t know the feeling or the see the results unless you have experienced it. What are the poor supposed to do? They could easily choose to cry themselves to death. But are they? No. There’s more depression in first world countries than third world. They are suffering more from illnesses and hunger. Not depression. Rich people, celebrities die of overdose. Why? They have money. They have luxury. They don’t have inner peace. Doesn’t matter how rich you are, if you have no connection with Allaah, your life is empty.
For quite some time now I have been "feeling" empty, no emotions like I'm dead inside. Sometimes anger, sometimes sadness, sometimes happiness but all sometimes. Not sure how long this has been going on for, part of me says almost 10 years but i noticed it a few years ago so part of me says only for the past 5 years or so. I'm a male adult, as men we tend to hide our emotions anyway but i think i hid it a lot more than others and so i just became accustomed to it, to the lack of emotions and feelings. I had a year where i never cried for any reason. I pray, fast, read the Quran, try to follow the sunnah as much as I can, listen to islamic videos such as this, i dont drink, smoke or do any of the harams Allhamdulilah but I still dont feel anything. I know my soul seeks something but what that is I dont know. However, i feel i am not meant to be sitting in an office all day and go home and repeat till the end of my days but i feel i should be out there doing something but what i dont know. I pray for guidance from Allah to show me the path I should take but I know it'll come with patience. It doesn't upset me cos I don't feel upset anyway except occasionally for very short time. But I just cant think of why i cant feel or have any emotions. I always say my shukran for eveything Allah has given to me no matter good or bad. No matter if its taken away or given. I am greatful for it all. I want to feel, I want to have emoitions, I want to have that spiritual connection that hushu when praying but I can't, don't know why. I used to be a very emotional child, sympathetic and empathetic you name it. I could read peoples emotions by looking them. Still can slightly but it just feels well doesnt feel of anything, empty. Maybe this is a good thing for me but I don't know, maybe Allah has given this to me so I could seek that following the righteous path. Maybe I'm like this so it prepares me for a devastating event or for an event or something thats uplifting. But what ever it is, its from Allah and Allhamdulilah for that. May Allah help our brothers and sisters in Palastine, Burma, Mayanmar, China, Turkmenistan everywhere. May Allah help the Ummah and may Allah allow me, allow us to be a part of the help. Once i was scared because i couldn‘t feel my heart. I was afraid cuz like do i have light in my heart so i wake up in the night and prayed tahajjud. While i was praying i heard my heart beating like for real. And i couldn‘t hold back my tears and started crying while praying. It was happiness that made me cry subhanallah ❤ i will never forget this inshaallah ❤

Your mouths are full of words of deceit and evil words, betrayal and pride. You have never spoken faithfully to Me, no holy words, no words of submission to Me when experiencing My word. What, in the end, is this faith of yours? Your hearts are full of desires and treasures; your thoughts are full of material things. Every day, you calculate how to get from Me, checking how much wealth and how many material things you have obtained from Me. Every day, you wait more and more for more grace to descend upon you so that you can enjoy more and more pleasant things.
That is what is in your mind at every moment and not Me or the truth that comes from Me, rather your husband (wife), sons, daughters, or what you eat and wear, and how you can enjoy more and more pleasant things. Even if you punch your stomach until it overflows, aren't you little more than a corpse?
Even if you adorn your appearance lavishly, aren't you still a walking corpse without life? ☀️
You work hard for the sake of your stomach until you grow white hair, but no one is ready to sacrifice even a strand of his hair for My work. ☀️
You are always in a hurry, tiring your body, and torturing your brain, for the sake of your flesh, and your sons and daughters, yet not one of you shows any concern for My will. What else do you want from Me?

Surah baqrah deffinelty brings blessings and peace in to your life , I was once reciting it daily and I stopped feeling depressed and negative, then life got busy I stopped and I find myself feeling sad , anxious, negative and hopeless again .

I was feeling kinda down today and feeling empty and sad and just cried for some minutes then I took wudu and started reading the Quran and ELHAMDULILAH now I feel good, i read Quran and listened on youtube Quran recitations and I feel so good

The spiritual connection to Allah no doubt plays a big role in fighting depression. It has been found that people with personality disorders who feel emptiness, when they get the emotional support they lacked, felt profoundly better. Not all emptiness is spiritual some is relational.
Not saying this is necessarily wrong. I'm still relatively new to Islamic psychology and most of my understanding of psychiatry and psychology is through Western education.
However, to argue that sometimes mental illness is not due to a spiritual disconnect from Allah purely based on the fact that something other than fixing ones relationship with Allah improved it is like arguing that a bariatric patient's knee pain, isn't due to their weight, but a lack of painkillers, because once they took the painkillers they felt better. Of course the underlying problem is actually their weight.
We can take all the walks we like, connect with people all we like, eat healthily, sleep well, and that may make us feel better for a period of time, but ultimately it may be that what we are doing is tackling a symptom, not the root of a problem.
So just be careful not to come to a conclusion so quick about the causes of mental illness or personality disorder inshallah.
Subhanallah this is a field I hope to go into and the more I study it, the more I realise how little understanding I really have (and how heavily influenced our understanding of mental illness is by the West).

What are the poor supposed to do? They could easily choose to cry themselves to death. But are they? No. There’s more depression in first world countries than third world. They are suffering more from illnesses and hunger. Not depression. Rich people, celebrities die of overdose. Why? They have money. They have luxury. They don’t have inner peace. Doesn’t matter how rich you are, if you have no connection with Allaah, your life is empty.

When people said aim by hearts also not mean you heart to aim bow. But use your feeling
For quite some time now I have been "feeling" empty, no emotions like I'm dead inside. Sometimes anger, sometimes sadness, sometimes happiness but all sometimes. Not sure how long this has been going on for, part of me says almost 10 years but i noticed it a few years ago so part of me says only for the past 5 years or so. I'm a male adult, as men we tend to hide our emotions anyway but i think i hid it a lot more than others and so i just became accustomed to it, to the lack of emotions and feelings. I had a year where i never cried for any reason. I pray, fast, read the Quran, try to follow the sunnah as much as I can, listen to islamic videos such as this, i dont drink, smoke or do any of the harams Allhamdulilah but I still dont feel anything. I know my soul seeks something but what that is I dont know. However, i feel i am not meant to be sitting in an office all day and go home and repeat till the end of my days but i feel i should be out there doing something but what i dont know. I pray for guidance from Allah to show me the path I should take but I know it'll come with patience. It doesn't upset me cos I don't feel upset anyway except occasionally for very short time. But I just cant think of why i cant feel or have any emotions. I always say my shukran for eveything Allah has given to me no matter good or bad. No matter if its taken away or given. I am greatful for it all. I want to feel, I want to have emoitions, I want to have that spiritual connection that hushu when praying but I can't, don't know why. I used to be a very emotional child, sympathetic and empathetic you name it. I could read peoples emotions by looking them. Still can slightly but it just feels well doesnt feel of anything, empty. Maybe this is a good thing for me but I don't know, maybe Allah has given this to me so I could seek that following the righteous path. Maybe I'm like this so it prepares me for a devastating event or for an event or something thats uplifting. But what ever it is, its from Allah and Allhamdulilah for that. May Allah help our brothers and sisters in Palastine, Burma, Mayanmar, China, Turkmenistan everywhere. May Allah help the Ummah and may Allah allow me, allow us to be a part of the help. May Allah grant as Jannah, who ever read this may we meet in Jannah inşallah

But this Ayah is biologically correct too, Heart has its own memory cells, 40,000 neurons like that of the brain. It is called the Intrinsic cardiac nervous system.

Yes heart and gut both have neuronal plexus that can think , store memories and the gut feelings are real . Heart ache from emotions is also real. Biologically and spiritualy.
As far as I know, those plexus have many functions but not of memory!!! And thinking like brain does!

I was reading a book "Joined-up thinking" by Hannah Critchlow and it says that we store information in our hearts and stomachs which is why we have gut feeling or think with our hearts, so we do actually think with our hearts it's not just metaphorical
As some with BPD I can confirm emptiness inside is a real and scary thing after years of struggling I found my peace I joined a tafseer group as well

Void is the state of conciousness between awareness and divine grace and love. In truth, science has recently shown that the heart possesses a complex network of neurons, known as the intrinsic cardiac nervous system or the "heart brain." This network contains approximately 40,000 neurons and can perform certain tasks autonomously, such as regulating heart rhythm, as well as managing emotions and energy. The heart is the primary command center, even before the brain. In fact, 80% of the information flows from the heart to the brain, while only 20% flows from the brain to the heart. This aligns perfectly with what the Quran says about the importance of the heart in thinking, as it is scientifically proven to be the true priority command center among all human organs.
So, even from a physical organ perspective, the heart plays a primordial role as the ultimate command center, and this is confirmed by science itself. From a spiritual perspective, then, its significance must be infinitely more profound and intense.
A great book about the spiritual heart is Purification of the Heart by Hamza Yusuf. Super great read!
