The Qur’an orders Muslims to have sex with captives and slaves, as well as armed robbery on the lands of others and theft of spoils under the pretext of spreading Islam. The Qur’an also contains several scientific and historical errors.. In order to understand the Qur’an, you must understand the Arabic language.. @amer amro found this answer
Most of the people in today’s world might not distinguish between the two terminologies or might use them in the wrong context. A servant is the one who performs a certain task in return of a wage or a reward based on a mutual agreement with the Master ,while a slave is owned by the Master and does every single thing the Master commands with no wage in return and the slave has no power to do anything as he relies on the Master on all of his affairs .So with this we conclude that a servant has a higher status than a slave and has an advantage of choice in doing things while a slave don’t have a choice .
Going back to the question that arises in our minds on whether we are slaves or servants of Allah ,let us take this step by step .Allah Almighty is our creator , sustainer and is responsible for our protection , He and only He can give us life and take it away .He decides where we are to be born and who our parents should be , He provides us with wealth and health and for sure is the only one who answers our prayers when we ask Him, therefore we are His Slaves ,under His commands and we have to follow Him without expecting a return from Him or a reward . On the other hand we are also servants of Allah as we have a clear instruction on what we are supposed to do in this life which is indicated in many verses in the Holy Quran (Those who believe and do good deeds). Believing and doing good deeds is the description of tasks required by Allah for us to fulfil and we do get rewarded for doing these tasks .This is out of the mercy of Allah on us that we are rewarded for all the good things we do and we are even rewarded if you stop doing what He asks us to do , this can be explained in terms of He giving us good health and also provides for our substance regardless of our deeds .Almighty Allah even starts to pay us before our creation by choosing our parents for us and taking care of us when we are in our mother’s womb ,He gives us deeds in multiples beyond what we deserve which only indicates His Mercy on us . Our good deeds wipe out our bad deeds no matter how great they are without we asking for it .
Knowing this valuable information from this single word ( Rabb) is sufficient to live a life of devotion to Almighty Allah and fulfil all His commands .This will not only build a stronger relationship with our creator but it will also develop content in us that nothing is achieved in this world without the support of Allah .

      Ibadah means to worship
And marking an effort in understanding the Quran is an act of worship. So yes😁
But please do keep this in mind that worship according to and closest to the sunnah is most beloved to Allaahh Azzawajul
So since the sunnah is to read in Arabic it would be closest to the sunnah to recite in Arabic
And since The messenger of Allaahh (صلى الله عليه وسلم) read it by heart so the actual sunnah is to memorize and recite by heart specially in prayer
(Book form came into existence later on)
      Nonetheless All are Ibadah

The truth of the Koran revealed as clear as the the bright blue sky. Only those addicted to lies will deny these clear proofs.
4.082 "Will they not then ponder on the Qur'an? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found therein much incongruity."
Note: Pickthal (Marmaduke) translation is used because it's the most honest, and does not use the cheating brackets "[ ]" that later translations use to assert meanings to fit modern knowledge. Classical Arabic is a sloppy language since one word can be stuffed with many meanings (good for making words rhyme).
21.030 "Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water. Will they not then believe?"
Muslim apologists point to this verse as evidence that knowledge of the Big Bang theory (the universe started out as a single point then expanded) is revealed, and the fact that we are made up of mostly water. Actually it's a vague reference to Genesis in the OT where the Earth was entirely covered in water (one piece/no creation out of nothing) which God separated, and brought life from the water.
Genesis 1:1-2 (NRSV) "In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters."
1:6b "let it separate the waters from the waters."
1:20a "And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures,"
Both have man created with wet mud.
25.054a "And He it is Who hath created man from water,"
23.012 "Verily We created man from a product of wet earth"
Gen. 2:6b-:7a "water the whole face of the ground - then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground,"
The Koran though vague does mention terrestrial fresh, and salt water seas.
35.012 "And the two seas are not alike: this, fresh, sweet, good to drink, this (other) bitter, salt. And from them both ye eat fresh meat and derive the ornament that ye wear. And thou seest the ship cleaving them with its prow that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may give thanks."
But what is the "forbidding ban between them", and "barrier between the two seas" in the Koran?
25.053 "And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them."
27.061 "Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and hath set a barrier between the two seas. Is there any God beside Allah ? Nay, but most of them know not!"
55.019-020 "He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other)."
Muslim apologists like to cherry pick these verses to coincide with the modern discovery of density barriers found in the deepest oceans, or the discovery of deep earth fresh water aquifers. The truth is the Koran is talking about the molten glass dome firmament coming down 360° that separates and holds up the ocean of Heaven. For this is why the sky is blue and freshwater rain comes from the Heavens above because the creation mythmakers were ignorant of what we now know.
Gen. 1:6a "And God said, “Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters,"
Just look at the light blue sky coming down meeting, but not mixing with the deep blue ocean on the horizon.
16.014a "And He it is Who hath constrained the sea..."
21.032 "And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents."
Gen. 1:7 "So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so."
:14a "And God said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky"
Psalm 148:4-6 "Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created. He established them forever and ever; he fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed."
Proverbs 8:28-29 "when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep, when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,"
Job 37:18 "Can you, like him, spread out the skies, hard as a molten mirror?"
Job 22:12, :14c “Is not God high in the heavens? See the highest stars, how lofty they are!" "...and he walks on the dome of heaven.’"
54.011 "Then opened We the gates of heaven with pouring water"
Gen. 7:11d "...and the windows of the heavens were opened."
8:2bc "the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained,"
Isa. 24:18b "For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble."
Also the Koran says (27.061) that the Earth is "a fixed abode" which affirms the OT.
1 Samuel 2:8b "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and on them he has set the world."
Job 9:6c "...who shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble;"
Psa. 75:3c, 82:5c, 102:25a, 104:5 "...it is I who keep its pillars steady.", "...all the foundations of the earth are shaken.", "Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth,", "You set the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never be shaken.".
Job 26:7b "...and hangs the earth upon nothing." (Note: The Earth orbits by gravity which is not nothing)
The Koran reflects ancient cosmology meanwhile apologists try to put a "what we now know" spin on it. Of course ancient people seen how vast the land and sky is. Both are using the argument from ignorance (look at everything therefore God did it as per Romans 1:20).
51.047-048 "We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof). And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!"
91.006 "And the earth and Him Who spread it,"
Modern translations/apologists try to word the above to sound like the Big Bang, but it's just the OT God myth separating and stretching out what was already there (no creatio ex nihilo).
Isa. 40:22 "It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to live in;"
Isa. 42:5a 5 "Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it,"
The moon gives it's own light.
71.016 "And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?"
25.061b "...and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!"
Gen. 1:16ab "God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night"
      The Sun has an orbit.
21.033bc "...the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit."
36.040 "It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit."

I have found "The Clear Quran" by Dr. Mustafa Khattab the easiest to read and understand.
I have copied the "Translator's Notes" found at the beginning of the Clear Quran translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab.
This explaination as to why he undertook this long and difficult effort is enlightening to his motivation and sincerity.
    Here it is:
    TRANSLATOR’S NOTES
It was a summer day in Toronto and I had just finished leading the
Friday congregation at a downtown mosque. On the way home I had
an unlikely encounter, since all my cab-drivers in Toronto had been
Muslims so far. That day my driver was non-Muslim, so he was able
to identify me as Muslim simply because of my traditional Arab garb.
Out of nowhere, he commented, “I think Muslims are good, but Islam
is evil!” Taken aback by this Fox News style rhetoric, I responded,
“Well, first of all thanks for the compliment about Muslims, but why
do you think Islam is bad?” He replied, “Because your holy book
calls me an animal.” In astonishment, I answered, “I know the whole
Quran by heart and I don’t think it says that anywhere!” He cited
8:55, and I responded by telling him that the word dâbbah in Arabic
does not mean an animal but a living being ( see 24:45). He
persisted, saying that his translation says so. I later checked many
popular translations by Muslims and non-Muslims and realized that
the man was right. This fateful encounter opened my eyes to the
    rampant misrepresentations of the Quran.
The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muḥammad ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ( in the 7 th
century and was not translated into English by a Muslim until the 20
th century. Many Muslims had long believed that the Quran should
only be read in Arabic, the original language of revelation. This led to
many inaccurate, ill-willed translations by missionaries and
orientalists-which explains why we still see some words like ‘holy
war’ and ‘infidels’ as well as many theological inaccuracies in some
existing translations. All this leads to endless false assumptions
about Islam and Muslims. Some Muslim translators are no better off
than their non-Muslim counterparts because they are not well-versed
in Arabic, or English, or Islamic studies, or translation, or all of the
above. Looking up words in an Arabic-English dictionary or copying
earlier translations when frustrated does not always guarantee
accuracy in translation. There are some noteworthy modern
translations like that of Dr. Ahmad Zaki Hammad (2007) and Dr.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem (2004), but many are either overtranslated,
making it difficult for laypeople to understand, or undertranslated,
doing a great disservice to the Quran. This is why I saw a need for
an accurate, smooth, and accessible translation.
To achieve accuracy, I have made use of the greatest and most
celebrated works of old and modern tafsîr (Quran commentaries),
and shared the work with several Imams in North America for
feedback and insight. For clarity, every effort has been made to
select easy to understand words and phrases that reflect the beauty
and power of the original text. Along with informative footnotes,
verses have been grouped and titled based on their themes for a
better understanding of the sûrahs , their main concepts, and internal
    coherence.
Thanks to our editing and proofreading teams led by Abu-Isa
Webb, I believe that what you are holding in your hands now is the
most accurate and eloquent translation of the Final Revelation: The
    Clear Quran .

He completed the translation within the month of Ramadan and when he finished it he told me that he finally understood the Quran like he has never before.

I suggest reading a little about translation or even learn a little bit about another language. Imagine (or actually do it) taking an English passage and changing every word you could with a synonym. It would say something similar but not the same. Now add on the fact that different languages have idioms and different syntax and different words.

Usama Dakdok's "Glorious Qur'an" is as true to the Arabic language as you can find. Most Qur'ans are deliberately softened up for the Western audience and do not convey the real message of the Qur'an. Muslims deliberately steer people to the most gentle translations in an effort to cover up what Islam truly teaches. Usama Dakdok's Qur'an pulls no punches and strives to be the most accurate of all English translations.

I have found this translation (The Clear Quran) the best and easiest to read.
My son when he was between 4th and 5th grade (10 yrs old - Summer break 2017) read this translation when he was fasting during Ramdan (Late May - late June). He completed the translation within the month of Ramadan and when he finished it he told me that he finally understood the Quran like he has never before.
My masjid regualrly buys large boxes of this translation to give out for dawah (education in Islam) to both Muslims and non-Muslims.

      Mustafa Khattab

Most of my knowledge on islam is mostly outside observation and I know little of what muslims actually believe aside from what I've learned face value.

We need the translation of quran not the interpretation of quran..every one interpret quran for their own benifits if it Shia or Sunni...we should have quran translation like other holly books like bible. the original bible was in Hebrew language now it is available in every language without Hebrew. in every language for every one to understand. the problem which Muslim community faces due to deferential interpretation..some says self explosion is written in quran some says it is not. and every one interpret for their benifits.

So long as its a Sectarian "translation", its always oriented because these "arabs/persians?" after the prophet, just wanted to establish THEIR will within a growing empire, not God's, ie why you get a whole 'ayah like 2:106 totally molested by them, paving the inevitable creation of the man-made Islam today. (On the verse, check out the root words of "nansakh", "ayah" and "nunsiha" and look for how its used in different verses, whereby the sects translate them willy-nilly to suit their claims and enforcing it through Muhammad). Owh well, we'll know when the Day comes, then let's see if all their "fairy tales" about intercessions will come true (6:94). Good luck to you to Zakir Naik

    • @raijin6918
      @raijin6918 6 лет назад

I hear the Arberry is just a translation without including interpretations so perhaps you may like that. Also I agree I have never read the full quran myself and I am trying to find a version of it I can read to interpret for myself and then later understand other interpretations. But I need a clean slate so I can conjuror options of thoughts of my own before I understand the other perspectives. Being hand fed someone's else dogma can ruin the foundation I built my understanding on and back tracking will not be fun.

I don’t know if this helps... but I don’t think most (educated) Christians believe that the Bible is the unadulterated word of god; in fact there is unquestionable evidence that the Bible has been changed throughout its history and what books and such were included were chosen by debate or on the battlefield. Due to this, the early Bible was translated into Latin and then other languages too. The Quran is interpreted has a recitation of god’s word to Muhammad, so by translating you are losing that. The gospels on the other hand are accounts about Jesus (Isa) and never claimed to be the word of god

🔴 Best English translation is by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan. He used simple words.
🟢 I think the latest book "The clear Quran" copied or imitated his translation. I can see many similarities between them.
