Yes Best tafseer is Tafseer Ibn kaseer and Tafseer al tabari...and the Best tafseer in Urdu language is Ahsanul Bayan...in which you can find a evidence of Hadith....and evidence of Ibn kaseer and Fateh ul Qadeer which is written by Imam shawkani

Original ibn kathir should be translated, rather than the saudi version.
Not any single tafseer can be regarded as best. Only good. One should not restrict himself to any. Quoting ibn taimiyah that he didn't find any better is not a good idea. There have been numerous modern commentators whose work is grand and glorious.
Commentary of Mohsin Khan is most regressive but he praises it.

Tadabbur e Quran is by Amin Ahsan Islahi. He was the student of Imam Hamiddudin Farahi.
Farahi sahab was best scholar of recent era. He was versatile in Hebrew and Aramaic text. He had discovered Nazm (sequence-tarteeb) in Holy Quran.

Only a die hard fan of abul ala mawdudi(rahimahullah) would say that. Tafheemul Quran is one of the few modern day tafsirs. His tafsir is best for younger and educated generation who doesn't have a lot of time to read through a lot of tafsirs but want to have basic knowledge of commentaries on Quran. But as a student of knowledge, this is not suitable for the people who wants to learn extensively and in a research based process. So I hope you understand.
