❌ {(Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority).} [20:5, Yusuf Ali]
This Ayah is wrongly translated to suit the belief that Allah is Everywhere. The Inclusion of "(of authority)" makes this Ayah seem like a metaphor when it actually is not one. This belief is Kufr and is similar to the Hindu faith.
✅ {The Most Gracious (Allah) rose over (Istawa) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty).} [20:5, Hilal & Khan]
This is the proper translation of the Ayah with the correct Aqeedah (That Allah is actually in the heavens, over his throne).

❌ {"His knowledge has embraced the heavens and the earth"} [2:255, Bridges]
This is clearly wrong. The Arabic Ayah mentions (كرسيه) "Kursi" which means "Throne".
There is no "Knowledge" word present. He added it.
He changed the meaning to match the wrong belief that Allah is everywhere (which is Kufr).
      ❌ {"The All-Merciful; on the Throne He settled} [20:5, Bridges]
"Istawa" means "Rose Over". Bridges translation changed it to "Settled" even though there is NO SUCH WORD in that Ayah. Again, modifying the Quran to match the wrong belief that Allah is everywhere.
Hilal & Khan is the best and the safest translation we got right now, look at how correctly it wrote those Ayat:
✅ {His Kursi [1] extends over the heavens and the earth} [2:255, Hilal & Khan]

I think it uses the word 'bring' because the word 'give' implies a loss on your part. When you give charity, you don't lose anything, in fact you gain money and good deeds because of your charity.
I also think that the word 'bring' also implies that you don't own it, rather you're simply a deliverer of people's due charity.

    JazakAllah,
Till now, I've used mainly Sahih International translation. Recently, for the past year I've also checked out The Clear Quran by Dr. Mustafa,
(My app allows more than one translation to be chosen)
In my experience, The two translations convey the same meaning, but the Clear Quran uses a bit more simpler language.
Some details have definitely been lost while translating. I don't know how significant they are- Allahu A'lam
Insha Allah, when I become a Hafiz I'd recover upon those...
Meanwhile, for Tafsir- I use Ibn Kathir (translated) and Maarif-ul-Quran.
In my experience, for a beginner- Maarif-Ul-Quran would provide more context.
    For instance, In surah feel-
Ibn Kathir delves into the context, but more so just to explain the Ayahs.
But Maarif Ul Quran delves into the context and talks about the backstory too.
I am definitely interested to try out this other translation, Insha Allah- next week, I may update here about my experiences using that translation.

    Assalamualaikum dear brother,
Do not try to impose YOUR OWN ideology by blaming Maulana Ahmad Reza Khan's (Rahimahullah) translation.
Here is what imam Qortoby Rahimahullah said on the tafsir of same verse
Ahmad Reza Khan did not invent any ideology he only followed the salihin.
You are spreading the self-made creed of Muhammad Ibn A'bdul wahab without following the Salaf.
Following prophet sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam and his companions is not an ideology.

His interpretation of the meaning of the Qur’an was completed as an older man, after his conversion. He clearly favors commentaries from the 19th and 20th centuries, but where he doesn't write the literal interpretation in the English text, he footnotes it. I always have enjoyed his tafseer. I would be interested in your specific comments about his interpretation in a future video. JAK.

      I know that Wikipedia comments:
The Message of The Qur'an received favorable reviews from discriminating scholars. Gai Eaton, a leading British Muslim thinker, after noting the limitations of Asad's rationalist approach, described Asad's translation as "the most helpful and instructive version of the Qur'an that we have in English. This remarkable man has done what he set out to do, and it may be doubted whether his achievement will ever be surpassed."[7]
Considered one of the leading translations of the Qur'an, it has been criticized by some Atharis for its Ash'ari leanings. The book was banned in Saudi Arabia in 1974 (before its publication) due to differences on some creedal issues compared with the Wahhabi ideology prevalent there.[8]

Making metaphors out of attributes for which Allah never did so Himself is a heinous innovation. Just because you have deviant conceptions of Allah does not mean everyone does. Allah has a Hand, literally, and at the same time, His Hand is unlike anything in creation. These two clauses are perfectly consistent.
P.s, raza khan was a kafir murtad, and his entire 'aqidah is upon shirk and falsehood.

    • @mohamed-ridariani1935
      @mohamed-ridariani1935 2 месяца назад +3

No, this is not an accurate translation. Allah affirms for himself that he has a hand, and this is to be taken literally and this is known to be the interpretation of the salaf like Imam malik and others.
We of course mention that Allah also says:
      لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِۦ شَىْءٌۭ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ
There is nothing like Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
      Surah shu’raa ayah 11
Allah affirms that he has a hand, but also affirms that there is none like him. Therefore, Allah’s is unlike our hand the same way a clock’s hand is not the same as a human’s hand.
This is the ‘aqeedah and creed of the people of the sunnah and the way of the Salaf as-salih.
Using the term “Hand of power” makes it seem as if it is metaphorical and figurative rather than literal. A better way to explain the correct belief of the sunnah that was previously stated is to add a detailed footnote clearly explaining this matter of ‘Aqeedah and the attributes of Allah rather than translating it as “Hand of power”.
As previously mentioned we take the literal meanings of the attributes of Allah with no metaphorical nor figurative explanations, and this is the way of the salaf.

    • @TheRealDawah
      @TheRealDawah 2 месяца назад +1

@SyedMusadiq-q4n The translation he has done is good because if one checks the translation of 'إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين', then, the translation shows that one is to be a follower of the true Tawhīd until he dies. People of the graves are not to be asked from. But, if one wants to know what is the most accurate translation, then, I recommend that 'one' read 'The Message of the Quran' if he wants to know the meanings given by Imām Ibn Kathīr, Imām aṭ-Ṭabarī, Sayyidunā Ibn 'Abbās, Tābi'īn, Zamakhsharī, and others. Still, I do not recommend this translation to the laymen, students of the knowledge, and the youth.

Hey Man, been a fan of you from the beginning and been watching your videos for a long time now
You Suggested that the simple english translation by Maulana Ahmad Raza Khan is wrong, tho for your information, and not to be baised here, he never wrote the translation in english, it was in Urdu and what is known to be Kanz ul Iman, I have been reading the same in my native language Hindi and reading the translation in my own language couldnt bring the actual translation from the original work in Urdu while Urdu being marginally related to Hindi, and at the time of the distribution in his time, many Arabs read it and agreed with translation and not questioned it , if it were wrong, and was incorrect, should the Ulama of that time stop the publishing of the translation in their native lands? It was widely distributed with little to no people standing against it because it was guided under the light of Ahadiths as well. I dont know if you gave it a fair go but i as an Adhami-tongue, had to write this because in your comment section, some people openly say that this is the misguided sect so i had to clear this up.
If possible, can you make an in depth video reviewing the original translation by the Muhaddith and why you pose it so wrong?

2:05 Ahmad Rada Khan is the most accurate translation with tafsir for all Ashari & Maturidi Muslims.
4:30 Hilali & Khan is the perfect translation for all Wahhabi/Salafis because it incorporates lies to fit the Najdi Kharji agenda like Surat Al-Kahf (18/21):
“And thus We made their case known to the people, that they might know that the Promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the Hour. (Remember) when they (the people of the city) disputed among themselves about their case, they said: "Construct a building over them, their Lord knows best about them," (then) those who won their point said (most probably the disbelievers): "We verily shall build a place of worship over them."”
The “We verily shall build a place of worship over them” was said by the Muslim Monotheists according to all the classical Tafaaseer of the Quran but the Wahhabis added the “(most probably the disbelievers)” part to justify their bulldozing of thousands of the Mausoleums of Muslims and slaughtered thousands more because they accuse the entire Sunni Ummah of grave worship.

Muhammad Asad's translation is the best and most beautiful translation, not only for its eloquent and dramatic use of language that reflects the power and meaning of the verses so well but also for its extensive tafseer. However, it does contain some controversial takes, this is evident from his tafseer and the way some verses are translated, so if you are uneducated, it's best to be avoided until you are.
But to dedicate about 2 seconds of time to such a gem of scholarship that the author spent 16 years writing, where the tafseer amounts to more than the translation, simply to tell people to avoid it? Shame on your disrespect.

As salaamu alaikum. JazakAllah khair for this info. In attempt to bring a response to the 'bring the... charity' vesus 'give... the charity...' statement(s), I think 'bring' reminds us that people have free will whether they will accept our charity or not (and Allah Has ALL power of it ultimately) and also us to remind us that what we intend may not come to fruition (we can't say "give" because it may not go further than "bringing" in actuality). If I may add to your explanation, I also think that the word "bring" aligns better than give; with the fact that what we call "our" money, is not actually ours, but only that allah gave us permission to use it, so we don't have complete power over it to permanently give it or not
