Iv got the im508 was wondering it can replace the ecm on a vw passat 2011
hi everybody! i bought a brand new ECU for my vauxhall astra 1.7cdti with the same part number as old one,but i dont know if the new ECU"s come out from factory with the software already written on it ,or first it need to be downloaded by a garage technician, and after programmed to my car??? for programming its enough if i have the security code of my car? yhx!
First of great vids, big shout out from Germany man. I own a 2002 Honda Odyssey since 20 yes now, and wanna own it much longer. Do you think the IM508 is good enough to do almost all reprogramming ECU stuff? I did as all couple years a major tune up, valve adjustment, cleaning intake manifold, throttle body, EGR and so on. And this time it starts misfiring after it warms up above 60°C but only when the load is under 70% and driving, no misfire in P nor N. I just changed the MAP, no changes. Right now I ordered the Autel AP200 so far to diagnose more and check live data, with my existing installed scangauge2 I can't, just clear codes that's it. Because I bought on Ebay US two identical ECM's I need to reprogram them, that's why I ask, and it's always good idea to have for such a unique car here in Europe (I imported it from Canada in 2002) already reprogrammed ECU's on the shelf, if it's not the ECU this time. Maybe just a bad O2 sensor, but first I need to diagnose it right. Another question Do you have an idea, does the tranny ECU reset works on the Ody too? You've shown in a other video? Do we have to get a new key to program a used ecu? Or could I use the old key from the old ecu?
You can use the old key that's what I did and reprogrammed back fine
i have a 02 honda odyssey with 2nd gen immo giving me issues trying to do AKL. Keeps saying immo is faulty … what am I doing wrong ?
i’m using the im508 , can’t get passed checking immo status says Immo not normal
Immobilizer is faulty replace the immobilizer unit.
@joes7061 try unplugging the battery for like 15 minutes and retry.
replaced immo and unplugged battery still getting same error , should I have to do a VIN writing ? what menu should I be going through to program these new keys to the ecu/immo? appreciate the help ….
Why did you program ECU, replaced with a new ECU?
Is that a way to check if an ECU is bad?
I installed a new ecu he had fault codes for things and lights on the dashboard for things on his car that was fine so immediately knew somthing was wrong with the ecu
