  • This clean 07 GT500 runs 93 octane with some boostane added to achieve 100 octane. It is about 16-17 PSI and makes great power with headers, the Whipple, and set of lopey cams. Need an install quote? Email quote@brenspeed.com

    You built my 2007 Red GT500 convertible back in December of 2016. Similar build but I had the 13/14 blower installed, Watts link, Kooks headers and no cams. I think you dyoned it at 654/636. I enjoyed that car a lot.

    Great video Brent. Appreciate you going over the suspension mods with the Watts Link.
    I did read something in a Mustang forum regarding the BMR WL kit that I have a question about. An owner of said kit stated one of the grease zerk fittings is inaccessible after installation. He said the fittings are supposed to be greased every couple of months. I'm wondering if this has been addressed or if this issue is valid?

      Thanks for watching! So yes there is a fitting that is hard to get to. BUT I do not say every two months. Its not like the grease leaks out or anything. You don't grease your lower control arms every 2 months. I would say every couple years maybe see if it needs any but even though most do not. I suppose if you were a crazy road racer that raced every weekend yes you may want to do that sooner possibly but that is part of taking care of a race car. For 99% of people you can grease it during the install and be good for a very very long time.

    What do you find ppl like better in these cars the 3.31s or 3.73s? I have 3.73 but I feel like my gears are too short idk if it's worth rebuilding a perfectly fine rear just bc I want a taller gear.

      @midnight347 Год назад

      I got 410 I like the gearing but I have a gen3r doing 750 or so to the wheels so it's a little much because of that. When I was on stock blower at 550 wheel they were awesome. I'm gonna put a 325/50/15 et street r on the back trying to get it to hook in 2nd on the street the 295/55 et street ss ain't cutting it. I also have stock worn out suspension with unknown aftermarket control arms and lowering springs I'm sure that isn't helping either so I'm gonna do suspension mods. If I can I'm going to keep the 410 I at least wanna hook 2nd on the street.
      If your rear end is in good shape you shouldn't have to do a rebuild just to swap gears alot of people do built rear when they swap gears which is what I may do if I do end up swapping them but you should be able to just swap gears with a rear gear and install kit etc.

    Will the D.O.B intake on a 07 gt accept any modern whipple? As soon as I figure that out and decide on that or a kennebell I'm coming to you guys for that tune and dyno! Lmk!

      I do not use those so you would have to check with them. Possibly but I am sure they could answer that.

      Yes it's a kit to use gt500 blowers weather it's the m122 or 2.3 tvs or any other blower made for them. I would get a gen2r for a 3v unless your engine is built then do a gen3r 2650 tvs.

    Does it fit under the stock hood of the 07-09 GT500?

      It comes with lowering motor mounts to make it fit under the stock hood if you buy the complete kit.
