I’m new to compound bows but I love my Spot Hogg sights, they truly are bomb proof. Due to my own stupidity I left my bow laying in the grass and when I went to retrieve my arrows my Father In Law came over on the gator, ran over my bow/Spot Hogg Hogg it sight. I pretty much panicked and sprinted towards it like a baby that fell down a well, but both the bow and sight were unscathed. Even the finish of the sight was unmarked after being hit by 2 wheels.
Great video, love the content! Got ya building some arrow for me at the moment, wishing I wasn’t on this east coast because every bow hunter needs a guru like you locally! Currently running the option archery which is kinda a hybrid, may need to make the jump to this beast!
As my eyes aged the cluttered sight picture in my IQ sight became a real PITA. I switched to a Trophy Ridge Peak (vertical stacked inline 5 pin) a year or so ago and the uncluttered nature of this site made a world of difference. For me, the stacked orientation of the pins also makes for more accurate shots on that rare occasion when the deer doesn't stop at exactly 20, 30, or 40 yards.
Thanks Josh. Great video. Wish they would've used the round bar setup like the single and double pin to save some weight, instead of the MRT style adapter, but I'll probably still check this out once I'm done playing around with this Tetra 4 pin.
I pre-ordered the triple stack scope to go on my current fast eddie and I was notified yesterday that it shipped! Only 2.5 months later than originally promised but I’m not complaining. Ordered mine configured with the top two pins in .019 and the bottom pin in .010
Would like to see a Video of The Expedition Archery Exlite 33 you seem to be good at Breaking Bows down with good points and details of Archery Equipment 😜
Tested one at my shop and bought one. Dumped all my carbon bows and used that money on other hunting equipment I needed to upgrade. Win win all the way around. The Embark is an AMAZING bow. Super super accurate.
I was told that because the housing is so big that it’s difficult to get past 80 yards! Is there any truth to that? Has anyone been able to get out past 100 yards and if so how did you do it? I’m new to slider sights so never had to deal with it before.
I hope Spot Hogg never “starts making a whole bunch of sights really really fast” that’s why they are so great. Every single one is built by competent, skilled hands. China is even making them BC people don’t want to wait or pay for the real thing.
This might sound dumb. I’ve never owned a spot hogg before. But could you remove a pin and take one of the arrows off the wheel? I am just wondering. Because i’ll buy a 5 pin. Remove a pin, and make it a 4 pin. To help clear up my view. Plus I have no use for 5 pins hunting where i am at. Most times i barely have to use my 2nd pin. So i was curious. If you really wanted an adjustable 2 pin. If you could just remove one of the pins
Good morning, do you have any of these available still? I am dying to get one but none of the shops in Georgia have gotten a shipment yet. Thank you for the video, love all you guys do here!
@@PAKraig and also less than half the price and work just as well and half the weight. But all besides the point. He made it seem like new technology in the video.
Really glad you guys started this channel - thanks for the info, MFJJ. I actually have a question about long draw bows like the Bowtech Mag-X. I'm 6'3" and currently shoot an Elite Impulse 34 with 31" mods (what my local pro shop set me up with) but my nose isn't even close to the string unless I duck/tilt my head down. I do have extra long arms so maybe my draw length is >31"? Should I adjust my form or should I move to a long draw bow? If so, what are some good options? Thanks!
Hard to say without a pic at draw but ive sold a dozen atlas this year and have alot of happy big dudes with them. A higher brace height bow would help. A 6" brace for a 31" draw is tough to anchor
I'm 6'3" with a 31.5 inch draw on a PSE EVO EVL and the string angle is pretty damn good. I'm sure we are still built pretty differently but you should try one
I’ve shot the trophy ridge react v5 for years. Great hunting sight. No slider but none the less awesome sight for the money. Light weight very quiet soft to touch.
Love your videos man! But this sight is huge, and heavy.. i dont recommend it. I do love the concept and much prefer vertical pins. Im looking for someone to do something similar 4 oz lighter. The plain fast eddie is 13.9 oz and sticks out past the riser 2 inches more than the double pin.
I remember way back I had a trophy ridge matrix sight that was vertical. It wasn’t movable but was nice with the view but the pins and sight was cheap plastic.
I've not handled one, or felt/shot one on a bow or my bow. So, reading web comments the common gripe is "its heavy". Alot of weight forward, requiring adding weight to forward/side or back bar set ups. Anyone have experience with this thing yet?
It felt a little heavy at first but just like anything, once you have it on there for a bit you don't even notice it. When it really comes down to it it's what, 3-4 oz heavier than others? Not a big deal in my opinion.
Sweet! I will be looking to upgrade to this next year. I'm dialed for now. Lol. You could probably remove one of the pins and make it a 2 pin adjustable could you not?
I almost pulled the trigger on Axcel LANDSLYDE yesterday, glad I didn’t, this is the one to rule them all, and I honestly don’t like carbon bar for hunting, it doesn’t save you any noticeable weight, all it does is double the price, silly buy if you ask me. Axcel should be worried right now.
@@2ndAveScents not to mention you can get micro adjust for the individual pins. That’s what I hated about my Spot Hogg. It was a nightmare and the installation of sight tapes was also garbage. Got a MBG on the way to test out.
@@joshjones6862 do I have to buy the whole sight? Or can I buy just the sight and slide it into the fast eddie I already have and get the 3 yardage indicator purple johnes?
Welllll shit looks like i might need a spot hog now....i run a black gold 3 pin ascent slider now. Might as well just get a whole new rig too and keep both full setups😂
This sight looks amazing. I like the multi pin in the verticle design so I can see what I'm frickin shooting. Thanks for this video!

This is exactly the type of video for me
Never too old to learn..thanks
You're the man wish You're shop wasn't on the opposite side of the country great content
This is the best sight I’ve seen I love the 3 pin triple stack I want a left handed one
Have the 2 pin version and love it. Would love it even more if I could adjust the pins like on the triple stack!

I'm impressed your site is sold out already. Great review!
Sword has had a 2 pin rover like that for 3yrs. It's a beast
Is there enough adjustment to set the 3 pins 20 40 60?

Can't wait to see review of PSE's Embark. I've heard it's a helluva bow for the money.

Agreed, waiting for the .010
0.10 are the best love the smallest I can get away with
Good afternoon. Could you please review the new Redline Torch bow sight. I would appreciate your insight on this product. It looks good.

I imagine you can snap one out of there with a pair of pliers 🤷♂️
I have a question for you can I put a lense in it
I still use the old Keller pendulum sight.
I've got the trophy ridge fixed verticle 3 pin. So I would keep everything i like about it plus adjustable? Hell ya!
Don’t like dovetails for hunting, can you elaborate? Do you even know the purpose of a dovetail?
I ordered mine first week of March. Still waiting ..
Great reviews your a blessing

When will Spot Hogg offer the 3 pin only option as an upgrade?
What’s the price for that in left hand ?
Trophy Ridge has had vertical multi pin sights for a while
But not made in the USA and not bombproof

I can’t find the triple stack pin guard on their site. Where they for sale? Thanks!
Im sold,
ive been a sureloc guy for a long time
How can I get one of those? They’re not on your website, or on spot hoggs website
Is magnification able to go on that site?
How about a review of the zeros light for the spot Hogg…
Make your ceiling beams into a bow it would look cool for the channel
So after adjusting all three pins, can they all be used as sliders? It seems that’s what the instructions suggest.
If I. Want to retro one of my 2 pins do i have to send it in? I hear there is a diff 2nd or 3rd axis platd

Trophy ridge has had the vertical pins for many years. But don't think they ever put it on a slider. Should pair great with a slider.

Ultraview 3 hands down mounted on spot hogg fast eddie xl..Thatvthing must weigh a ton. Good luck

There was a trophy ridge that had that quite a long time ago, but it was probably crappy lol.
Time to upgrade my double pin fast Eddie 👀

Unknown. I did order them
It’s a tough world for lefty’s!
Black gold needs to do this with their single pins .
They do offer a multi pin mover BUT the pins are stacked horizontally, I believe. Not a fan of horizontally stacked multi pins.
I can't use the vertical pins . Love my 3 pin mbg slider
4 months on the wait list and still waiting
