2 Day Adventure Itinerary for North Cascades National Park, Washington ⤵️
📌 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘴 + 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘭𝘴!
(Note: Some of these places border the park but are all within same vicinity!)
**Also Disclaimer: we spent 8 days here and due to the extreme smoke from all the surrounding wildfires, this was all we were able to manage in that time (it was still amazing though - not complaining and know we’re very fortunate).
Point is: this can all be done within 2 days, easily! And I highly recommend these adventures to any first-time visitors, for sure!
With that being said…
⛔️ ALWAYS remember to practice ALL the leave no trace principles! This includes: packing out EVERYTHING; respecting all wildlife, signage and other hikers; following all fire and safety regulations + much more!!! ⛔️

Day 1:
🛶 Canoe + explore the remote and gorgeous Ross Lake via the floating Ross Lake Resort!
•Not only can you stay at this floating resort, but you can also take just a day-trip there (must have an equipment reservation to go there for the day).
•Canoe rentals are $55 per full-day (only full day is available). Plus, the boat shuttle service which costs $6 per person. You MUST reserve in advance!
•How to get there if there are no roads? Park at the Ross Dam Trailhead parking lot (right off of Hwy 20) and follow instructions in my video.
🥾 After, head to Blue Lake for an epic sunset hike! This trail is about 5 miles RT, rated moderate and man alive! Is it appropriately named! The larches in fall are also unreal up there!
Day 2:
🏔 Maple Pass Trail -
•get there as early as possible, before sunrise even
•It’s about an 8 mile hike and rated hard
•It’s also one of the most beautiful trails I’ve hiked in the country that’s under 10 miles!! Loooook at it!
🌲 Next, swing by Rainy Lake - a shorter trail (2 miles) to cool down with! But, incredibly stellar all the same!
🧺 Lastly, for the remainder of the day - spend time at the famous Diablo Lake! You can hike, paddle board, kayak, picnic and so much more here! It’s a must!
