      The Kanji for ageru is 上げる which means "up". Imagine that you give something with both hands from a lower to someone.

    This reminds me when I was speaking with a little girl who was learning my mother language (brazilian portuguese) and she asked me "what is the difference between 'perguntar'(ask) and 'pedir'(ask)" and it took me a while to answer her because in portuguese these two are really diffferent but in english they are the same. Languages are really interesting

    That note at the end of the video explaining Valentines day and White day actually made me realize something.
    There's a scene in the manga of Love Hina where Kitsune gives Keitaro cheap 1 Yen chocolates on Valentines day and then she tells him to buy him beer on White day. It's a small but funny scene in the manga and I finally realised what she meant.
