I think the reason most people fail the see how to play throught a lot of hand traps perfectly is not a lack of skill, its the tilt of feeling that "he has everything" and being tilted makes you comit mistakes or simply concede after 3 consecutive interrupts

That opening turn is why Swordsoul was a top deck in the OCG, by the way; going even in cards against Maxx C and setting up a boss that doesn't get you immediately killed is a huge deal if you can't deal with the roach.
Swordsoul was never the deck to beat or a super meta contender in the ocg, just look at road of the king breakdowns it’s a lot more prominent in the tcg

Also I'm very curious about the board you would have setup (6-7 negates(?)) in that Game 3 if it wasn't for Imperm. Can you please explain how you would have gotten it?
Probably meant to say disruptions instead of negate.

@@wakonMG The deck can't produce more than 2-4 negates depending on build, no build runs more, you do get other forms of interruption on top of those but not negates. That said i don't see a better end board than Cheng/Baronne+Chixiao+Oreo Lock+Blackout with this hand, and it has no recovery at all, so i'm no pak kek. EDIT:I guess if the build still had Denglong+Pillars you could end on that+1 draw too

In the last duel at the end when/if your opponent (didnt) surrender(ed), would you rather search emergence and then protos or blackout?
This is a decision i still dont have an answer to when dueling

Hey @PAK what play would have you done with the phantom mecha?? I don't quite get why is so good in this deck. Is it for the card destruction, poping your own tokens?
Also, it is wonderfull seing you play!
It’s a card that combos with halq. Ensures that with access to a tuner and non tuner, you are able to go through the swordsoul line without swordsoul cards in hand.
Wondering if you would remove ash blossom in game two vs swordsouls, I run 15 HT n thinking of playing 2 ash rather than 3
My God i literally play 2 maxx C and 2 ash and you got 15 HT 😭

@@bmgmist2732x Effect veiler,3x Maxx C, 2x Infinite Impermanence, x3 Ash Blossom, 1 Nub. Veiler is better than imp when you have an established board if u draw off maxx C

Question how do you get over mekk knight crusadia avramax with swordsoul because I couldn’t do anything and not counting droplet because I run the same deck you have and still learning
Banish avramax with chengying
Or destroy it with protos assuming it wasn't made with IP masq

to be fair Sky striker does take like 10 turns to kill people and they don't have mystic mine in master duel to stall for that long. they even wasted their Kakari just to see if you were just pressing buttons to negate it which is pretty dumb for most master duel players to do. I've had people brain dead negate something that wasn't even that important and it let me full combo afterwards since that one hand trap would have been better later on in the combo.

@@patrickyeh1102 I was thinking maybe to banish it and change the level of a monster, but then realized he had no way of banishing it that turn plus the level change wasn't going to do much, right?

Have you tried less tenyi and adding the dpe package? I got so close to d1 with swordsoul but now the entire meta is just anti sword soul fairy tail luna / kaiju decks or trizoo with nut openers lol
DPE Engine adds way too many bricks to Swordsoul. Especially since a lot of your stuff are two card starters where it either requires a Wyrm or Swordsoul card.
Dpe will only make it worse, maybe add crossout for the trizoo match up, since a lot of their power comes from tge handtraps, but luna kaiju is sadly one of the most toxic decks in a bo1 format, i switched to Bird-up in diamond especially to counter them, maybe add vanity's emptiness since you'll always go first against them,and it counters tgeir entire deck.

DPE is high roll as hell. You don't get to run Desires, and you're just going to get more extreme auto win or auto lose hands.
