Perfect! Just ordered one. I've been playing some retro fighting games on my phone on my breaks at work, and was looking for a portable stick of some kind. I'll try this out. Even if it's not good for playing, it's still a cool collectible at a more than reasonable price!
2:38 I also plugged mine into 2 different PC's. (One running Windows XP, and the other running Windows 10 pro) Both of them recognized this fight stick. Windows XP listed the device as "HID-Compliant game controller" Windows 10 listed the device as "CHA2" Neither one had properties that you could go into, to test functionality of the joystick, like you can with joysticks made from other companies. Also, I did not see anything on the New Wave Toys website that said these could be used on a PC.
@@TheRed5815 I just tried it on another PC that is running Windows 10. On this PC, I went to control panel>hardware and sound>devices and printers. Then I plugged the joystick in, and it initially listed this joystick as "CHA2", under unknown devices, but then after a minute or two, "CHA2" moved up to "Devices", and was assigned a gamepad icon. When I right click on that gampad icon, a menu of options appeared, including "game controller settings". I clicked on the "game controller settings", and it opened up a standard joystick and button test application, and the joystick and buttons worked perfectly. So yes, this joystick is **potentially** capable of working in Windows, but **not guaranteed.** So, to summarize: 1st try on a Windows XP laptop = It recognized it as "HID-Compliant game controller", but did not get a gamepad icon assigned. 2nd try on a Windows 10 laptop = It recognized it as "CHA2", but did not get a gamepad icon assigned. 3rd try on a different Windows 10 laptop = It recognized it as "CHA2", and soon got a gamepad icon assigned, and worked perfectly. (In the testing application. Did not try it on a game yet.)
Have you or anyone here tried this on the nintendo switch by chance? Thinking of making a mini switch arcade build and using these fight sticks as the inputs.
I'm back. Has anyone had any luck making this work with Android RetroArch? Because while the device recognizes it, RetroArch is a different story. Sometimes it works! Most of the time it doesn't!
To anyone thinking about buying this for use on a Windows PC, better think twice. I sent the following email to New Wave: Hello, Can your Street Fighter II Mini Fight Stick work on a Windows PC? I saw a video on RUclips, that claimed it works on a PC running Windows 10. If it cannot work on a Windows PC, could you consider writing a driver so that it can work on a Windows PC? New Wave's reply: Thank you for your email. Our mini stick is written officially for the SFII arcade use. We do not test on Windows PC or other consoles. We do see people trying on their window PC, but we do not guarantee that it works every time. Currently we do not plan to produce any update/patch for Windows PC yet but thanks for your suggestion.

Just ordered mine thanks to your review! Right now the price is $7.99
When you had the inset view of just your hands on the stick it totally looked like a giant was playing on a normal sized controller.

Waiting for somebody to destroy tournies with this fightstick.
Great vid! That was so small, I'm surprised it worked so well.
Great video! Do you know if this arcade stick works on the Switch or PS4?
Just got it not compatible.....just good for looks basically
I was wondering the same thing. It likely needs a USB adapter in order to work.
@@TheRedVirtue no idea here, seen other videos of people using it on STV or TEKKEN 7 but i havent gotten it to work
It works with neogeo fighting games on ps4. It just doesn't say its connected but it works.
I saw on the websites review that someone was playing soulcalibur 6 with the same controller.
That joystick is so tiny and so adorable

I just bought this crazy thing on sale. Why? Who the heck knows. I like tiny tech, what can I say.
Could this be used in a raspberry pi for retrogaming?
Does this work with other fighting games on pc?
I'm running windows 10 as well and nothing starts when i plug in. The computer recognizes it as a device but nothing loads
Same here.

I just ordered this at $7.99 black Friday yo
Tempted with that $13.99 sale price.
Yo does this work with PS4 and soon to be ps5?
It does not
It does work on ps4. On classic neo geo fighting games.
How am i finding out about this in 2023 lol
It's already back to 19.99 but still not bad
On January 24, 2020, they were $14.99, and I bought 4.
They went back to $19.99 again, sometime after that.
Today (Feb 6, 2020), I see they are back down to $14.99
Has anyone experimented with other games?
